The book selection is great and they have charms and stickers for all ages. The space is cozy and charming, the staff were incredibly kind. My kids especially loved the dogs! I'm looking forward to attending events and continuing to support this wonderful local business.

I picked up an author I didn't know because the cover was shiny, and now I've read 5 of her books. One new book I grabbed from the book club list, another couple with pretty bindings ... One of those turned into reading a 3-book series and a 13-book series all this year. All that to say, I've been inspired having a well-curated, community-centered book shop in town. They just celebrated 2 years, and I'm eager for what the next 2 bring! Most recently I made it to one of their book festivals. I had no idea Oklahoma had so many talented independent writers, and it filled me with pride to see them showcased (and get to buy their books!). They do three a year, definitely worth the trip.

I just can't recommend them. TL;DR: Not good. No restrooms.

I ambled up to the counter and ordered a mocha, hoping the chocolate would mask the undoubtedly bitter espresso... Who expects to get a perfect pull of crema on their espresso in a small town?? Not I--past experience has me expecting very little from rural baristas. When Little T walked around the counter to hand deliver my coffee I was delighted and impressed. What a cute couple! I love supporting small local businesses for interactions like this. But when I walked outside and took a sip I damn near dropped my coffee! The delectable espresso was delightfully folded in with semisweet chocolate and encased in perfectly textured milk foam. Wow. Let me bookmark this cafe as a nexus of good taste! Kudos!

Now that I've tried everything on the menu except breakfast and I can't gamble, I've come to find that the people are one of the reasons that folks like this place. The staff are friendly and helpful, I've seen them in action 100%. Don't be intimidated if you come in and see everyone huddled in the front laughing, they're just passing time on a slow night. The casino side is decent for being so tiny. Fridays is promotion night for the players club members. Thursdays have stuff at noon. I've never won anything big and from my 3 months here I've only seen 4 jackpots and 2 were on the same day, by the same person. The food is your standard greasy spoon menu: hamburgers and chicken strips and fried fish. While they could do better (managements fault), the cooks do the best with what they got. I hopped online around midday and placed an order, and just a few hours later, a gorgeous bouquet arrived at their doorstep and an email confirmation sent. Talk about speedy service! And let's talk about their selection: they aren't limited to just standard blooms. They have all sorts of fun options that combine flowers with drinks or snacks--perfect for a unique, personalized touch. I went with the "fall vibes" bouquet, which was as fresh and festive as the name suggests. The arrangement featured a colorful range of autumn-toned flowers, each bloom looking remarkably fresh and well-chosen for the season. My only (tiny) critique? The sizing options weren't super clear online. I upgraded to the "Premium" size, but I couldn't tell from the photos how much bigger that would be compared to their standard arrangements. The end result was still gorgeous, but a little more detail on what to expect in terms of scale would help folks choose the right size from the get-go. Overall, Garden Party Florist nailed it: same-day delivery, fresh, seasonal flowers, and creative extras. I'll definitely be back next time I need a top-tier bouquet in Stillwater--just maybe with a quick call to confirm sizing.
