Wow! I was so excited to try out Hot 8 Yoga after hearing amazing comments from friends. The studio…read moreitself is quite spacious and ornate. The staff are super kind and the instructors lead by example. I signed up for the Strength class and chose to focus on abs and legs. The instructor had a fantastic playlist that kept me motivated and singing along in my head lol. The phrase, "how slow can you go" is still in my head. I love how the class was structured around focusing on low impact exercises with challenging weights. I entered the class feeling tired and left feeling very refreshed and motivated. I love how they have an assortment of lockers and cubbies, and even showers with soaps! I loved my time there and was cheesing so hard after, I'll definitely be back! Fun Fact: The further towards the back of the room you go, the hotter it gets. The rubber floor texture was also interesting! There's 2 hr free parking with validation in their nearby parking structure.

I took my first Yoga Sculpt class at Hot 8 Yoga this morning 6:30am with Haley. There's a few pros…read moreand cons to this specific location. To start off, parking isn't really the best. Luckily, as early as it was, I was able to get a free metered parking spot on the street before they turned on. (8am-8pm) Coming from street parking rather than the parking garage, I walked to the entrance facing the street. The front doors had a sign that pointed to the left towards a separate double door to use those doors instead. I still tried to open the first doors because i'm thinking they just opened so maybe they just haven't moved the signs yet. The lady at the desk points to the sign and signals to use the other doors. Those second double doors had a sign that said they would not be unlocked until 8am which it was barely 6:15 am... So now i'm getting a bit frustrated and decided to call and ask where I should enter through. The lady on the phone specifies that there's a door by the parking garage in the plaza area that I should use. I walk towards the parking garage to find exactly where she was talking about. It wasn't the worst case scenario but I believe as a first timer to this location, this situation was very confusing and frustrating! The class itself wasn't that bad, the instructor was amazing and overall had good energy. The room was a bit too hot for a human body to properly function and do the workouts given. I've done yoga sculpt numerous of times before and haven't had this issue. At first I thought I was being sensitive but during class pretty much half the participants were constantly stopping and needing breaks, me included. People started walking out about a little after halfway through the class which I don't blame them. I enjoyed the workout and pushed myself to finish but i'm not too sure if I would be back for another class.

I enjoyed it then, and I recently after a renewed desire to get back into the flow, I revisited this new location, and loved it so much, I'm now here nearly 3-4 times a week. Some of my favorite teachers so far: - Irina Vaysfeld - Irina teaches Level 1, and 1.5/2 flow classes. I find her teaching style conscientious and invigorating. - Regan Mozingo - Regan teaches 1.5 flow. Regan does not take things too seriously, and her class is always a fun time. Every class I've taken of her's has included some much desired upside down time, and she is a talented singer and sings to us during Shavasana. - Christine LaMonica - Christine is the owner, and her classes are what made me fall in love with Prema Yoga in the first place. - Erika Kleinman - Erika's classes are fun, and push me to my edge - often what I need. - Kellie Pulce - I just finished what was basically a private class with Kellie during her weekly 5:30 - 6:30 pm 1.5 flow. Because it was just me she really pushed me so some of what we did was definitely more like 2.0 flow. There should definitely be more bodies in this class on a weekly basis - Kellie is fantastic! If you like yoga and are in the area, Prema Yoga is a great little studio to check out! Note: There's a new student special of $59 unlimited yoga for 30 days, and donation-based yoga with new Yoga Teachers on Sundays at 12:30 PM. And there's parking in the back!

This studio has been a steady part of my life through so many different versions of me. Showing up, being on time, staying present, and getting through class is the real challenge not so much the heat lol. What makes this place special though is the people. Liz, the owner, is genuinely so cool, and all of the teachers are great too. I'm a pretty quiet person and usually kind of in my own world, but they've always been kind and respectful and never made me feel awkward or out of place. They don't force anything, kinda meet people where they're at. Besides all that the studio itself is always super clean, which makes a big difference. And the disco balls on the ceiling always make me laugh, it gives the space personality. You can also tell they care about their students and space because they're always coming up with new ideas, classes, and ways to keep things interesting. Just check it out

Teachers like Ebbon, Kim, Reyna and Liz are great teachers, self deprecating and funny. Each teacher offer such a different dynamic including a recovery class for Fascia with Reyna that has been helpful for my injuries. At Stretch I started consistently attending in January and recently got to enjoy my first class with the owner Liz who is very professional, she knows her stuff and truly is present, observes her classes /observes her students , I respect how she see's everything and everyone in the room and is sure to tell you to correct your forms (so you get the very most from the pose for your class and are doing each correction and correctly) . I also really appreciate how she made sure everyone could see themself in the mirror - esp since I usually go to the back I often cant see myself in the mirror -most classes are quite full - Liz made certain people adjusted their positions so everyone could see themself, I love that ! And she demo's with more seasoned students /teachers poses visually that help myself and newer students. Liz also tell's stories in between poses that moves the classes along very swiftly., she is self deprecating and funny, Thanks Stretch , love that you are in Burbank , Appreciate you ! Immediately was greeted when I walked in. I signed up for the quiet Gong healing meditation. It was the day of the full moon and I needed a more calming vibe and I'm so glad I did. She told me what "supplies" we needed (we used two big heavy pillow things, two blankets, two blocks, and my own mat). I never knew yoga could utilize so many things but it was fun! We only did 4(ish) poses besides the warm up but the time flew by. And they felt so good and relaxing. The room was dark with fun lights. It was so pretty and so peaceful. Heather explained everything perfectly. And had some pretty great jokes. It was a really good, lighthearted, calm way to end my day. If I manage to get finances together, I'd love to do a membership here. Only con - parking is hard. Not much around there and no lot. But it's Noho. Just gotta prepare for that.

I absolutely love how Georgina runs her prenatal yoga classes. Her flows and poses feel safe and supportive for our growing bodies and babies, but they aren't overly easy and still feel challenging. She encourages you to modify depending on how you feel and I always leave class feeling strong and empowered - exactly what I want and need as I prepare for this birth. The Aqua Mamas classes are just heavenly. They take place in a heated pool in an oasis that is her back yard. We use pool "weights", bands, and noodles during class. Similar to her yoga classes there is room for you to modify and get a good workout or take it easy and just enjoy stretching and being buoyant in the water. Class sizes are intimate and on the smaller side. It's a treasure to be surrounded by other pregnant women sharing stories, milestones, or just our latest aches and pains! I'm in my 39th week now - still taking yoga at Two Hearts and still feeling great. I attribute that to moving, stretching, and feeding off of the strong feminine energy that permeates her classes.
