Add chucks of apple to your apple fritters and you'll be tops. Otherwise, a good bakery.

The middle layer was to be chocolate with the same cream cheese icing with pecans. The outside of the entire cake was to be done using cream cheese icing. The rosettes on the bottom layer were to be done in royal blue. The second layer had the simple royal blue ribbon we had given her to use for the color preparation. The top layer was supposed to be polka dots using the royal blue color. The cakes were set up on tiers and she was to use white roses between the 2 spaces and a couple on the top layer. So, the cake turned out all butter pecan with no added pecans in the cake or in the icing that was between the layers. The rosettes were play-doh blue and looked like an amateur had made them. The top layer had what appeared to be a little darker blue color, but looked like candy dots pressed into the frosting. Finally, the white roses that were to decorate between the layers were fake. They looked like the cheapest she could find, or maybe she pulled them out of an old vase from her home. She was supposed to set up the cake and was given another $20 to do so. She left the plastic wrap on the entire cake. Guests arrived to see that mess. I contacted her via PM on her business FB page. She assured me that this is what was ordered. I told her that me, and the the bride and groom were all there when it was ordered and I am certain she was told all of the above "supposed to be," information. She stated that that was not true. I told her to review her order and then get back with me. About 20 minutes later, she sent me a picture of some order form that she must have just rewritten. She said that that was the original order form. This just proved to me that she is a dishonest person. At that point, I knew there was no reasoning with her. If she is willing to rewrite a cake order, then that was that. In my opinion, she should have accepted and owned up to the fact that she did not make the cake correctly and that it looked very generic. We paid $324 for something we could have gotten at Wal-Mart for half of the cost and it probably would have been made correctly and been prettier. I thought that she should have stepped up and apologized and offered something to make up for it, i.e.: make a birthday cake in the future for free or refunded us half the cost of the cake. She didn't even try to make us happy. I don't think she is an upstanding business woman. I think her business is good for cakes that you would normally buy in a grocery store and she does have great cupcakes, but for something formal, I would never order from her again and I would definitely never recommend her to anyone. P.S. I rated her a 3 star because the cake tasted really good.
