The wait time and service are based on the type of service that you are getting and the availability of the students. The students get a lunch hour. You pay in advance for your hair service. One time I went, I wanted a finger wave hair style, none of the students knew how to do a finger wave hair style. Make sure you have a "picture" or "explain in detail" how you want your hairstyle, so you will not be disappointed. Customer service skills, being attentive, prompt service, and professionalism is cruel from the staff to the students when serving a client. I saw a student get an "attitude" because a client voiced "her opinion" about her hair. At one appointment, my hair was not gel down, rush to save time since I had been waiting all day. My service slip was not written up until one of the instructors came and reviewed the appointment slips on the counter and noticed I had been sitting for a while. "No apology for the wait!" My hair did not last four days. I was so disappointed. The student needs to be versatile when it comes to knowing how to style different hair styles. This is important if they are going to work in a salon or own their own hair salon someday. Discuss personal complaints somewhere else regarding your job and not in front of the client. Just remember to get here before 1pm for any chemical services (color, relaxer etc.) Prepare for at least a thirty minute wait on a Friday.
