Two of my close friends hired Karna for their weddings and I thought their photos were so unique and beautiful I knew I wanted her to be our wedding photographer as well. Karna has a way of making you feel comfortable from the moment you first speak to her, very bubbly and it feels like you already know her. My husband was not looking forward to taking engagement photos but left saying how much fun he had and how much he liked Karna. We thought of the engagement photos as a practice for the big day but fell in love with a lot of the photos and were so impressed by them! Karna was our wedding photographer, and she was incredible. She was very reasonably priced and so much fun to work with. She shot our engagement photos in North Beach, and had so many great ideas. We didn't have any cheezy proofs, it was hard to choose just one. (She even took the time to print ours on a special metallic paper because the color was so much better.) On our wedding day, she arrived right on time to my home and got a great series of photos with my maids, and family. Her assistant in the meantime, boarded the Mexican Party Bus with the rest of our bridal crew and took great shots with everyone on the way to the Presidio Chapel. They were so professional, it was like we hardly knew they were there. And, they managed our enormous families during the group photos. Seriously, I'm one of six kids, and my hubby has a huge family + we had a sizeable bridal party. Think: Mexican Catholic, that means the huge lens to get everyone in. I have no idea how she was able to get everyone looking straight ahead, not talking and not blinking, but she did it. And, we enjoyed ourselves at the wedding, I'm so excited to order some larger prints of her detail shots from the wedding to hang in our home, all of her printed work so far has been incredible. (We bought prints for our parents as holiday gifts.) Because we liked her so much, we're planning to now re-hire her for some of our professional business photos. My partner and I used Karna's services for our wedding and it's safe to say it was the best decision we made. I'll admit I was skeptical at first because she isn't cheap, but without a doubt this is a perfect case of you get what you pay for. Karna's attention to detail consistently blew my mind. She was upfront and honest, which is something we did not see from all vendors during our wedding planning process. Karna accompanied us to our destination wedding in Zihuatanejo, Mexico. She coordinated with the minister to fulfill our request in capturing the beautiful Zihua sunset in the photographs. Not only was she able to efficiently organize our guests, she came up with creative arrangements and took full advantage of the amazing scenery. This was quite a feat to accomplish in such a short time frame. An added bonus is that Karna is fluent in Spanish for those of you considering a destination wedding in a Spanish speaking country! I am so thankful I met Karna years ago through some mutual friends. She's a great person and amazing photogrpaher. Years ago my husband ( boyfriend at the time) got us a couples photoshoot with her and I loved our pictures. So when we finally got engaged and the only person I wanted to be my photogrpaher was Karna. We did our engagement photos in SF and we were expecting a beautiful day in September. We were there for 20 minutes and the fog rolled in. Of course it was thick and freezing cold.
