The evening of the actual shoot, she took care of us, providing anything we needed to stay comfortable, including a warm blanket for my baby (it was a lot chillier than we expected) The shoot was so much fun and Diana gave great direction. We just received our photos and they are more stunning than I expected. We also received a video that chokes me up every time I watch it. I had shown her some inspo photos and I feel like she totally grasped the editing and style we were wanting. We started with our 1 hour engagement session at Muir Beach and they were some of the most beautiful and happy photos. We really appreciated Danielle for taking the time to meet with us before our big day. She has such helpful pointers and prompts that made us both feel comfortable in front of the camera really quickly. For our wedding day, she and her photography partner were AMAZING. We ended up buying an extra hour or two and it was so worth it to have getting ready photos. She was such a fun part of the day. Our photos truly feel like she captured the energy and emotions we felt. She took time to understand the family dynamics and was so flexible with it all. She even helped me bustle my wedding dress!! She made us feel really comfortable, and she was engaged and enthusiastic the whole time. The photos were amazing-lots of gasps and "awwws" as we went through them, and a few tears too... So happy we met Danielle, we'll probably do it again when we come back to CA!

They blended seamlessly into our wedding party and made everyone feel comfortable, allowing every moment to unfold naturally. From the very beginning, Alison took the time to get to know us, understand our vision, and learn what was most important to us. She truly listened, and then executed everything more perfectly than we could have imagined. When we finally sat down to look through our wedding gallery, we were completely blown away. Every photo is absolutely beautiful. One of the things we appreciated most was how Alison and Amy captured not only all of the big moments, but also the countless little in-between moments that we either weren't together for or didn't even realize were happening. Looking through the gallery allowed us to experience our wedding day from a whole new perspective and brought us right back to every emotion we felt. The photos tell the story of our day so naturally and beautifully, and we'll treasure them for the rest of our lives. We are beyond grateful for the care, talent, and attention to detail that Alison and Amy put into capturing our wedding. Choosing them as our photographers was one of the best decisions we made, and we couldn't recommend them more highly!

We interviewed a half dozen wedding photographers, and after a whirlwind experience I can confidently say that J & D are the most communicative and easy to work with. They have a can-do attitude and bring a low key sense of humor and enthusiasm to their projects. Everybody got along easily with them. Their equipment they use gave them a lot of options for getting great shots, they knew when to take advantage of good lighting, and they were SO kind about the few time they asked us to pose in the moment--a quick, "hey look over here!". Those quick and easy moments all paid off ... now that we have the shots we can see why they went for it. They included engagement photos in their package, and that shoot was a super fun adventure, everybody was in a good mood, so of course we got great photos that we'll have forever. I can't emphasize enough how many of the OTHER photographer candidates we interviewed came to their projects with an attitude like, 'this is how WE do things', or asking intrusive personal questions, or making us come down to their office for a sales pitch... J & D don't do ANY of that. They came to us, they're easy to work with, they made a lot of great game time decisions, and we have photos of everything we want, and they look great. What more could we ask for? Thanks J & D!

They photographed our wedding this past June in…read moreBig Sur and we could not have found photographers with more warmth, heart, patience, flexibility, and, above all things, the most beautiful results. Like many other reviewers, when looking for a photographer, we wanted an approach that was more journalistic, but still had an editorial bent. In other words, we didn't want a ton of posed photos, but instead wanted moments captured in a beautiful, subtle, and elegant way. I came across a photo that Jaime took of a row of grandparents laughing, and knew almost right then and there that I would want to work with them. I loved the process of talking and even negotiating with Jaime and Dennis. From the get go, they were interested in who we are, our lives, and what we wanted out of our photographs. I got the sense that they don't take cookie-cutter approaches to wedding photography, and love that philosophy. They both worked with us to come up with a package that fit our budget and made sense for everyone, always being extremely responsive and professional. On our wedding weekend, Dennis and Jaime were phenomenal. They blended in seamlessly with our guests and vendors, would get into any position for great photos (at some point I was scared Dennis was going to fall off a cliff), and cared enough in the flow of the day to not take us away from the party for too long, yet long enough so that we got beautiful shots. Beyond that, Jaime actually was extraordinary in helping with little things, like when the train of my dress got dirty from walking on the street - she had all sorts of ideas on how we could get the marks out, and went out of her way to do so. When we got the images a mere 2 weeks later (!!), I was blown away. The images were so special and captured spontaneous moments not just of us but also of our guests. There are so many photos I want to frame and two months later, I still go through them every week or so because of how beautiful they are. In sum, all I can really say to people considering Viera Photographics is: Hire Jaime and Dennis now, before their schedules get booked up! You won't be sorry!

Sara did so much more than just take amazing photos. She helped me plan the timing of the whole day, with expert guidance and perspective on lighting and flow. She dedicated a lot of time and energy to help plan and prep with me so she really understood what we wanted for our big day. She was responsive and professional and also personable, sweet, and funny. When the day arrived, Sara and her second photographer Cecilia helped everything run so smoothly. She even knew how to calm me down when I was freaking out. Sara wrangled our big rowdy family and had lots of tricks for getting natural facial expressions and poses out of everyone including the children and the awkward adults. She kept us laughing while also moving us through the many groups we had lined up. I just looked through all the photos from the ceremony and I can't believe how many angles Sara and Cecilia captured-- they were everywhere... but how??? I swear they went into ninja stealth mode and nobody actually saw them... that's some real photo magic. And of course, the photos themselves are divine. She is also just a wonderful person to work with. She is kind, reliable, easygoing, and really understood our vision. We did not want to spend hours posing for photos or feel like we were missing our own wedding. We wanted to be present, spend time with our friends and family, and have the day captured as it naturally unfolded. Tammy completely got that. Neither of us is particularly comfortable in front of a camera, but she made us feel SO relaxed throughout the entire process. She made our families feel comfortable too, and she was amazing at navigating the chaos of an Indian wedding with more than 250 guests. She also brought a second shooter who was wonderful.
