Not since the late 60's when Gary Stites and Jerry Jay was spinning the wax at KTRB has it sounded so great in Modesto.

I wish there was a lower rating than 1 star, which they don't deserve. It used to be an all oldies…read morestation with limited commercials. It is now a Punjabi language station. They say to tune in to their sister station KRVR, which is ok but they are not dedicated to 50/60 classic oldies. VERY DISAPPOINTED!! You've ruined a good thing!!!!

I discovered it driving through the area during the Christmas season and they were playing some holiday tunes that I hadn't heard in a long time. I've since listened to them online in Sacramento where their signal doesn't come in, and have heard a great variety of stuff ranging from big band, 50s pop, Motown, 60s British Invasion, to pre-disco 70s- the most recent song I've heard has been Frankie Valli's "Grease" and that likely got on only because of Frankie Valli- whoever programs the music seems to think disco is when music started going bad. Despite being an oldies format they play a wide variety with many songs that you truly haven't heard in a long time, and I've rarely heard the same song twice which is the main thing that will make me tune out from any station. The occasional standby (like the Monkees' "I'm a Believer") will slip through every now and then, but they more than make up for that by playing stuff you don't know by heart and might even have to look up to ID- today for example I discovered a Gary Lewis and the Playboys track I hadn't heard before. The only downside is the station is automated and doesn't actually name the songs on air or talk about them, though songs are usually ID'd onscreen when listening online. The audio on Tune-In is also a bit compressed, sounding underwater at times, hopefully they can fix that. This is how oldies radio should be though- if you want to hear "My Girl" or "Stand by Me" 5 times every day you can buy the CDs, but here you can actually hear something and say "I haven't heard that one in ages!"
