These people are the ones who would patronize your sponsors. The younger set listen to IPods and satellite stations. Having the classical station served another group of listeners who are not tech minded. KBOQ was unique, and had class. Now, it is just another station that will have much competition.

KBOQ 95.5 does not even exist…read more I don't know who started this page, but KBOQ was most recently at 103.9FM, and hasn't been at 95.5 for almost 2 years. 95.5 is now BOB FM which is an awesome station playing the "80s, 90s, & whatever," while 103.9FM is now B103.9 and plays the [soft rock] "Songs you Remember." If you're going to complain, at least get the details right.

Now I rate it -1 star as it suddenly changed its format to rock. Do the station execs not realize what a large audience for classical music exists in this area?? We have the Carmel Bach Festival, Monterey and Santa Cruz symphonies, chamber music series, youth orchestras, opera, YOSAL (a highly successful musical lesson program for under served children in Salinas). There also several classical music choral groups in the area. So what were they thinking?? Another degradation of American culture?.
