I wanted to find a photographer that I was not already familiar with, to ensure that my personal and professional relationships stayed seperate. I found Charyssa on a Kijiji ad, and was drawn to her images immediately. After a closer examination of her portfolio and meeting with her in person, I knew that I had found our photographer. We needed someone who wasn't afraid to take charge and give us direction. Someone who was confident in their style and had creative flair. Charyssa was all of these things and more. When our photos arrived, we were overjoyed. Despite a flower-girl with the stomach flu, a tantrum-throwing ring bearer and some serious disorganization of the family and bridal party, Charyssa pulled together our photo session without a hitch!

If you are looking for a wedding photographer, stop your search and contact Lauren. Trust me…read more I cannot even begin to say how amazing our wedding photography experience with Lauren was. Choosing Lauren was the second best decision we made that day, and the photos she took captured the best decision perfectly. Lauren is so open and inviting, and fit in with the group so well. There was no awkward silence, or weird posing. She made the photography experience so smooth and natural. With one of us being a photographer as well, the search for a wedding photographer had a high standard. Lauren hit every item on the list. Lauren's style is timeless, and it was exactly what we were wanting. The photos show exactly that. The skill and talent Lauren has is top notch, and the way she frames photos is amazing. Lauren knows how to use angles, lighting, and the environment she is in for the best picture. No picture felt forced, looked staged or unnatural. It was as advertised, "relaxed, romantic and candid". We are BEYOND happy. We are so grateful for Lauren, her team, and the result of the work she did. Seriously, stop looking, contact Lauren. Her awards speak for themselves, the reviews are amazing. She was the best!

I don't even know where to begin to describe how absolutely positive and rewarding it has been to…read morehave Shalene as my wedding photographer. From the first meeting with Shalene I was blown away at how friendly she was, and how easy it was to be around her. My husband has anxiety issues, and he was right at ease with her from the very start which was super important to me. She was nearly completely booked up for 2016 and she was kind enough to accommodate our wedding date. I understand why she books up so fast since her prices are affordable and is a total steal when compared to the quality of images and services she offers. After our first meeting, she sent flowers to my house to say thank you for choosing her which absolutely astonished me... I felt that it was such a kind thing for a photographer to have done. Over the year of planning my wedding Shalene became so much more than a photographer, and instead became my friend. She answers messages incredibly fast, is very knowledgeable and helped me with choosing an engagement outfit according to what would photograph the best. When we arranged to have our engagement pictures taken, we had to change the photo location last minute due to unforeseen circumstances and she was so understanding and accommodated the change without judgement. The turnaround time for my engagement session was lightning fast, and the packaging and the USB was absolutely gorgeous. You can tell she puts so much thought and detail into her photographs as well as her brand. For my wedding day she stuck around from start until finish. She worked quietly in the background, photographing the smallest details, and capturing special moments. When my florist messed up on my bouquet, and my ride was redirected last minute, Shalene drove me and my friend to my wedding venue, which just shocked me at how above and beyond she was willing to go for me. Throughout the wedding, I hardly noticed she was there. She was very unobtrusive and let me have intimate moments with my husband and family, and then would pull me away when the moment was right to get some stunning photographs. She took my feedback from the engagement session and translated that perfectly on the wedding day to deliver the shots I was looking for. When all is said and done, I cannot recommend Shalene enough. If you hire her, there is literally no way you could ever be disappointed. Her pictures are stunning, the moments she captures are beautiful, and as a person, she is authentic, real, and caring which I find refreshing. Overall I highly recommend her.

Marcin & Dorota hiked with us to Peyto Lake for the ceremony and then we all drove to Lake Louise for photos and lunch, followed by more photos at Moraine Lake. They are such wonderful, fun people who have a true passion for photography. They will go out of their way (laying on the ground, crawling into bushes, etc.) to get the perfect shot. We are blown away by this pair and we are already planning another trip from Tennessee to Canada so they can take family photos for us. You will not be disappointed in BDFK Photography!
