Did you really think you'd be spending hundreds of dollars? I don't think so. That being said, I still check out the Reject Shop fairly regularly. Sometimes you're lucky to find awesome bargains that you won't find elsewhere. I personally love the DVD collection. The movies are all under $5, sometimes you'll even manage to score a bargain for only $1! It's a great place to find those old favourites that are really hard to come by in your regular DVD stores. When it comes to buying gifts you'll find that the Reject Shop comes in handy. Not for the main gift (although you may get lucky, depending on the age of the recipient) but for the gift wrap, boxes and a wide variety of cards. If you're looking for the cheap way out then head to the Reject Shop. If you want high quality products then head to a store that doesn't shamelessly call itself a 'reject'.

I went from reject shop to reject shop looking for them and finally found them at the West Lakes store. I actually like the set up of the West Lakes store, it seems less cluttered than some of the others I've been into. More organised. The staff are pretty good too. If you pick your timing you may get some samples, but we find Melbourne and Sydney seem To do samples better. If there are samples you can do without lunch and graze around the store. The meat is really fresh and they have an ever increasing range of ready made foods. They have regular specials and have seasonal goods, right now there is a glut of Xmas chocolate and cakes. We got a Take and Bake pizza and cooked it at home. The pizzas are big but the ready cooked ones from the food court are enormous! Being a member you also get the cheapest petrol around. It's card only and you have to be a member. Recently they changed cards and you can no longer use Amex.

If you are going to visit any IKEA make sure you sign up for the family card first. We had a yummy breakfast of bacon, eggs, meatballs,Danishes and drinks for 3 all for under $20. Then the fun really started, winding our way through the store taking in all of the gorgeous things on display. I could've bought so much more but there's always next time
