My boyfriend brought me here last weekend to try climbing. To be honest we had stopped in another…read moretime "just to look" and I got so scared I didn't think I was going to be able to do it. But I tried to be a good sport and put on the harness to show I was making an effort. Ha. It's very chill inside with lots of walls. You should wear workout-type clothes and rent the harness and shoes if you don't have your own. There are a few staff walking around if you have questions, but basically you're left to it, unless you're a total beginner without a more experienced partner and in that case you should book AHEAD OF TIME an introduction (I think it's around 20 euros - this is so you do it safely, not so much on HOW to do it as I understood - there are separate classes for that). There are changing rooms upstairs (without lockers, boo). There are lots of tables and chairs and post-climbing we had tea and some soup with nice dark bread. I like that they are open late as this makes for a nice evening activity.

They emphasize safety (as they should) and constantly do walk-abouts to ensure nobody is being unsafe. There are also plenty of places to chill out and rest (tables, chairs, sofas). They also serve food and drinks here! I haven't had any of the items on the menu but you could easily turn a climbing session here into an all-morning/afternoon/evening affair. Hannekes Boom is across the way so that's an option too. The routes are challenging but fun. I do prefer the coloured sticker system as opposed to coloured holds. Some holds lose their colour, some routes zig-zag onto other walls, and some routes placed in close proximity to each other use the same colours. I've strayed off the route a couple times and have wasted time & energy trying to determine which holds are mine. The people who climb here are also very awesome. A good mix of expats and locals all just wanting to have a good workout in a laid back atmosphere. Lessons & gear available for sale/rent. Try it out!

It turns out they don't take credit cards and I had no cash on me. They very graciously told me to just go ahead and use the facilities and come back to pay at a later time. I couldn't believe how accommodating they were! The facility's common area is super clean, relaxing an spacious. They have plenty of seating, perfect for a get together drink and snack after a good workout on the walls. The instructor was very, very friendly and funny. He was very knowledgable and we didn't have to wait at all for him to check our newbie knots and belay devices before we excitingly went up the wall. He was constantly walking around making sure each group of three was taken care of. He was definitely a patient instructor! Also, since our group was mostly expats, the taster class they offered that day was in English. I'm impressed! Awesome experience overall :)))

Wow, I've never had so much fun in my life! That is not a true statement, but it is certainly the…read morecase for this year. The name Fun Forest is a good one: you will have fun! This is not something for people with vertigo, or the faint of heart, as even the easiest courses are taking place high up in the sky, between the green leafs of some wonderful trees. Also, it's a good thing if you are reasonably fit... Before the start, you are asked to fill out a form with your personal details, and you need to put your signature there as well... I guess by doing that you are ok with the small print. After a short introduction to the gear and how to use it, you are sent off into the sky. There are 9 courses to choose from, ranging from easy to hard. My personal favorites were 8 and 9... the rest seemed too easy (but can be used to get used to how everything works) I am writing this "the day after", and 2 things I notice: I still have a big grin on my face, that's how much fun it was! And I feel every muscle in my body... seriously! So I need to give 5 stars. This is something you need to do with your friends or colleagues! Check their website, they are always busy, so you need to make a reservation ahead of time. [update, a few days later]My arms are still sore. And I still have a huge grin on my face. Seriously. If you like fun, you need to do this. Period! Oh, and bring gloves (like the gloves you would use with fitness)... ropes and cables baby! Oh, and for the ladies: schedule your manicure the day after... not before :)
