The lounge is located in an office building with its own parking lot so that's not an issue. Once you go inside through the East main doors, it's easy to spot on the right. My girl Melissa totally hooked me up. The space itself is amazing! Clean and organized with places to sit...definitely lounge-y! The best part of any hair appointment for me is the hair wash and scalp massage. So relaxing! That alone would have earned a top review but of course we need to talk about the braids. I submitted a picture of what I wanted but was undecided between one Dutch braid or two. Melissa suggested two with a part. She was so quick and effective with the time we had available. This is quite the feat since I have extremely long hair. How she managed to dry my hair before braiding it is beyond me. The braiding is immaculate with clean and tight lines. So many people have complimented me and I keep sending them her way. They also have silk scarfs and products available to take care of your braids and ensure durability (she said some people have their braids last two weeks!). I was furious after leaving that salon, but I was very happy leaving this salon. I'm giving Michael's card to my coworkers because she's so good. I almost never do that. Couldn't find anyone to cut girl's hair so we made a last minute appointment to try the new place…read morein town. It was easy enough to book online. I had to adjust the appointment time and that was easy too. Then, we ended up showing up early and they squeezed us in anyway. First, she got to get a quick manicure (included with her cut) then the stylist and did a dry cut first. Then girl got to pick her shampoo scent- cotton candy. The whole vibe was fun- music, lights, colors. The stylist was friendly too. After the shampoo, she trimmed up some more and did a blow out. Girl got to opt in for glitter (she did) then a cute braid with some butterfly clips (included). We checked out and she got a balloon, sucker and some little toys. She also got a coin to put in the donation jar of her choice. She put hers in for BA Schools. She talked about the haircut for the rest of the day begging to go back next time.
