Detailed ceiling with angels and mirrora

Wow! I wasn't sure how the quality of performance would be given the dodgy looking ticket selling stations, but wow. I'm so happy that we spent €24 on tickets to see the orchestra and soprano performance of Four Seasons. I was absolutely spellbound by the soloist who just nails every note in this historic former chapel. Pro Tips: - Definitely request the Section A for the best experience near the performers - Go to the restroom before, there isn't an intermission

Klementinum's website (and door...) say guided tours take place every half hour. They don't mention the likelihood of a long wait due to limited tour sizes. I went in early afternoon midweek during the offseason and had a 2-hour wait. I'm not sure if that's the norm or not, but luckily it is set in the center of town so there's plenty to do in the meantime. The tour shows glimpses of the innards but nothing all too detailed. I'd say it's skippable if you're short on time but otherwise could be a nice stop. It takes about 50 minutes from start to finish. As part of the tour, you'll take a look at the Mirror Chapel (not as many mirrors as you'd think), the Baroque Library (needs a good dusting but is really pretty), and the Meridian. There's then the option to walk up to the lookout tower, which provides a nice view of both Old Town Square and Prague Castle. Maybe not the best vantage point in town but central nonetheless. Really nice during a sunset too! Keep in mind the steps to reach the top are very steep and the elevator doesn't go all the way up, so if you have mobility restrictions, it may not be totally worth the price tag to only see the chapel and library. Overall I'm glad I saw the Klementinum and would recommend if you have the time.

The tour is quite short and kind of mind numbing. You visit the Mirror Chapel, the Library, & the tower above. They were all pretty, but really not worth the time. The view was excellent from the tower, but go to the Tower in Old Town Square, way higher elevation and better view. So many better things to visit while in Prague for the time & money.

Did a tour here and thought it was a bit boring... you have to wait an hour or two for the tour and they just take you up/down the stairs. You won't get to go into the actual library, they'll let you stand at one small corner to see it, you're not even allowed to take pictures. The best part is probably seeing the city from the top. Other than that, there's nothing exciting about the tour, I would recommend skipping it and not waste your time here.

Worth going! Less crowded than other usual tourists spots and one of the best views of Prague

Not worth it. You actually do not go into the library and are not allowed to take photos. A complete rip off.

Not worth the money. Very limited tour. No actual access to the library - just a view in.

We had multiple servers who were so attentive. In addition, there was a pianist on an acoustic piano playing nice music (NOT an electric keyboard w/boom chicka booms). I started with their soup of the day-cauliflower. The picture doesn't do it justice. We each ordered the filet mignon which came with roasted potatoes and a salad. The meat portion was huge and there were plenty of potatoes. To finish I had a crème brûlée, my favorite dessert. It did not disappoint. Overall, it was a lovely dinner and then after we went upstairs to a string concert. A great night.

I got the mini pancake with the berry jam and a cappuccino. The jam on the pancake was tangy and sour and sweet, which elevated the dish. The server that served us was good, but we went around 8:30, and there were only 4 other customers sitting down. We didn't see a server at first or a hostess, so we tried to ask someone that's behind the entrance making coffee if we can just sit down. Let me tell you that she was so rude, as in she didn't even acknowledge our existence and totally stared and turned her head away. For an establishment in the middle of a tourist center open during breakfast hour, maybe have a cup or two of coffee so you don't become so rude. A few days in Prague, and by far, this was the rudest encounter. Everywhere else, they were super nice.

Despite visiting years ago, it took living here for a month for me to learn its name or explore inside. It wasn't until one of my new friends invited me along for a classical music performance that I became acquainted with it. I heard that it's a rarity to be able to attend a concert in the church, but I also heard the opposite, so I'm not actually sure. Either way, if you have the extra funds and want to experience some local, albeit touristy, culture, be sure to book through Via Musica. The ticket cost me around $38 (935 crowns...NOT cheap!!) but I think it was worth it for a one-time visit. I spent most of the 65-minute concert mesmerized by the church itself. Faces everywhere. Gold everywhere. Intricate designs. Unreal beauty. It was such an amazing experience! It was also cold. Keep in mind it's a very old church. Even though it's indoors, it's not like they have central heating so you'll still feel the elements. Dress appropriately! And be sure to arrive early for a good seat. If you're visiting Prague, don't miss a trip inside this church. Classical concert or not!

Compared to the Madrid Palance, Pražský hrad feels dusty. The Madrid Palace is opulent and had air purifiers in almost every room. Pražský hrad has rooms that are almost unbearable to stand in due to the allergens and construction. The carpet was dingy and it's mostly the gorgeous gothic outside that's the draw. All in all, I don't think you need to have a guide for Pražský hrad and I could see buying entrance tickets and being perfectly content with your choice.
