Then I spoke to John (the other assistant who actually entered the incorrect charge) who told me the office was aware of the error but did not fix it (they could have done so easily by partially refunding my credit card). John claimed he called me, but he didn't use their listed & recognizable number (which was in my contacts). He also didn't deny that their office did not mail me a statement. This was the only time I didn't get a statement from Gottlieb's office after a visit! Seems like they were going to help themselves to the extra money & then charge me for another visit on top of it. Insurance had nothing to do with this, it was a simple overcharge on a credit card, by a significant amount. With one of the last whirlpool baths available the patient is given a soothing foot bath prior to having treatment. Many years ago every podiatrist I had gone to had one of these but no longer. Dr Udell always makes me feel comfortable & relieved after treatment in spite of all my foot issues. The staff is very efficient and friendly and the office is clean and pleasant.

I saw Dr. Matthew Pitre last week, complaining of pain in the ball of my foot…read more He said it was probably caused by a callous, which he promptly removed. I told him it felt worse, and asked him to take an X-ray. He said it wasn't necessary to take an X-ray, that I should call in a couple of weeks if it was still causing me pain. Today I went to Dr. Matthew Kalmar on Green Street in Huntington. He took several X-rays, and showed me that I had a fractured sesamoid bone. I was given a surgical shoe with a bandage to wear under it, then told to come back for a follow up in two weeks. And to cease all pickleball and sports until further notice. If I hadn't gone to Kalmar Podiatry, I still would have been playing sports and could have further injured my foot, possibly needing surgery. Dr. Pitre was not thorough and should have taken X-rays when I asked him to. Just beware, because this is not what I call good medical care. Dr. Pitre was not thorough at all.

I started seeing Dr. DeCicco twenty years ago. It was a rough time in my life and my feet were…read moreaffected by it. Had a lot of problems walking and was in a lot of pain. I saw Dr. D very often for several months. He was always filing, snipping and smoothing my feet. He surgically removed an ingrown toenail, fungus toenail and planters wart. Besides taking wonderful care of my feet, Dr. D is one of the most caring doctor/human being I have ever known. His bedside manner is incredible. I am grateful that he has been part of my medical team. When his office merged a couple years ago, he asked if I would see Dr. Kumar. He needed to share his workload and said she was very good and I would like her. He was right. She is an excellent doctor, honest, caring, and has most of the same qualities that Dr. DeCicco has. I highly recommend these doctors and their patient friendly office.
