I saw Dr. Matthew Pitre last week, complaining of pain in the ball of my foot. He said it was probably caused by a callous, which he promptly removed. I told him it felt worse, and asked him to take an X-ray. He said it wasn't necessary to take an X-ray, that I should call in a couple of weeks if it was still causing me pain. Today I went to Dr. Matthew Kalmar on Green Street in Huntington. He took several X-rays, and showed me that I had a fractured sesamoid bone. I was given a surgical shoe with a bandage to wear under it, then told to come back for a follow up in two weeks. And to cease all pickleball and sports until further notice. If I hadn't gone to Kalmar Podiatry, I still would have been playing sports and could have further injured my foot, possibly needing surgery. Dr. Pitre was not thorough and should have taken X-rays when I asked him to. Just beware, because this is not what I call good medical care. Dr. Pitre was not thorough at all. read more

This is by far the worst doctors office that I've ever been to. The staff is extremely unprofessional and everytime you go they change the price from what they quoted you the last visit. The only thing they care about here is getting as much money as they can from you, please save yourself the aggravation and find a new doctor. read more

Went to see Dr. Croughan in June 2022. She took X-rays and basically said osteoporosis and nothing to recommend me to get better. Just went to another podiatrist in Rockville Centre who accurately diagnosed me and gave me tools to get better from the numbness and pain. Disappointed to spend $50 on a copay and waste months before finding a good doctor. read more

Very disappointing. On the plus side, the office staff are efficient and friendly. I saw Dr. Hendizadeh for my pronated foot and am extremely disappointed. He recommended orthotics to help me. I purchased them - not cheap at $800. I went back 2 weeks later to see him about a couple of issues. 1. My foot kept slipping out of my shoe because the orthotic raises the heel a little. (Tight sneakers were ok). His response was precious - buy new shoes. Besides, he said, if you were a woman, that wouldn't be a problem. Really ?! 2. My foot still looks and is turned in. I agree the orthotics may help a little, but Dr. H. said that only surgery would fix the problem. This was absolutely not something he said on the first visit. He led me to believe the orthotics would fix the problem. Oh - and because they were custom made, he said it was non-refundable. Poor customer service. read more

I highly recommend this place. They're so good I even recommended them to my gyno. First they're extremely accessible, you don't have to go through multiple channels to speak to someone and there's usually no issues. I think I was put on hold once. Dr. Kumar performed the surgery for my bunion and it went extremely well. At the Huntington location the surgical coordinator Angela went to bat for me to my pcp cuz he wouldn't send the authorization paper for the surgery. She basically fought for me in order to get my surgery cuz if they didn't send it early enough the hospital would've cancelled my surgery. She's my knight in shining scrubs. She's amazing, she sets such a fun vibe at the office. And dr. Kumar is also mad chill. But not too chill that you question if you went to the right place. She's also super duper nice. You can ask as many questions and she doesn't make you feel stupid for it. No shade to the other drs at this office, I only worked with Kumar and Angela the most so I can only speak on them. read more

Dr Pedram Hendizadeh helped me tremendously. I had been to 4 other doctors that weren't able to offer me any relief of my plantar fasciitis. Under the guidance of ultrasound Dr Hendizadeth gave me a shot which gave me huge relief within an hour. It was unbelievable. I believe it was the ultrasound guidance that made the shot effective. Only Dr Hendizadeh took my pain seriously enough to offer me immediate relief. His office staff and medical assistants are wonderful as well. They are very personable and warm. I visited Dr.Lee after having issues with work boots that are required for my job. As a paramedic i spend many hours in the boots and started having issues with the ball of my foot by the arch. Dr.Lee answered all my questions and alleviated the problem. Since then ive had no issues and even followed up with Dr.Lee!! Definitely a pleasure and was glad to have decided to go see a specialist for my problem. Will definitely recommend to anyone else and will be returning if i have any other problems!! read more

Dr. Hendizadeh is an outstanding, professional, and very likable doctor, He went above and beyond to help me. I had a calcaneal fracture (a broken heel bone) so I always have foot problems, but whenever I see him he helps make it better. Dr. H spends time and really listens and answers and has a dialogue to make sure that we understand each other before we discuss our options and he clearly lays out the best course of action step-by-step, I never feel rushed! And here's something novel and awesome, the people that work in his office actually don't have an attitude and do their job quickly efficiently and well and actually help you instead of acting like they're doing you a favor by answering the phone! So the office is very well run, extending even to the aspect of not making you wait forever in the waiting room which is great. read more

Went here with foot pain and was attended to by Dr. Chowdhury (this may be besides the point, but what a beautiful woman she is), very professional and deliberate in her work. I didn't need any major intervention, so can't vouch for that, but I got the advice and care I needed, and would go back here (and to this podiatrist) if another foot need arises. The nurse was also very nice. My only criticism is that the receptionist was kind of rough and came across as uncaring, as if she really didn't want to be there. But she did her job. read more

This office is AMAZING! Everyone is always enthusiastic, helpful and genuinely concerned. My daughter and I were both patients of Dr. Lee. My daughter has broken her toe several times due to sports injuries and each and every time Dr. Lee was so kind, patient and wonderful with her. I began to see Dr. Lee as a result of toe pain that turned out to be a bunion and arthritis. Drs. Croughan and Lee explained my options and after I chose surgery, as it was ultimately inevitable, they explained EVERYTHING to me. They arranged for an ice machine to be delivered to my home before the surgery and even sent a nurse TO MY HOME to give me my presurgical COVID test. I just had my first surgery yesterday at the Queens surgical center. They sent a complimentary car service to pick me up and take me there. My driver even walked me upstairs. I arrived at 11:15 and was in the operating room at 12:20 for my 12:30 scheduled procedure. EVERYONE there was wonderful. Dr Lee and Dr. Hendizadeh came to see me before the surgery. They answered all of my questions and really put me at ease. When I woke up in recovery, a nurse was there and tended to me immediately. Dr. Hendizadeh had already spoken to my husband and gave him all the info. It was such an easy experience. I highly recommend this practice. They truly care. read more

This place is AMAZING!!! I am a very active 26 year old so the ability to move around pain free is extremely important to me. I walked into my first meeting with Dr. Hendizadeh very apprehensive. I had already had a bunionectomy performed on my right foot the year prior by a different location/doctor. Needless to say my foot did not heal well... My left foot had started causing me pain and I didn't know what to do. Surgery was the last thing I wanted. I first went to meet with Dr. H to explore my options. He told me the only way for my foot to truly heal and feel better would be to undergo surgery. I was skeptical, but he was patient and kind. He answered my millions of questions and told me he would have me up and running in no time. He explained his approach to me in detail and assured me the process would go smoothly. Dr. H is very knowledgeable and takes pride in his work for good reason. The process did go smoothly and the results have been better than what I could have imagined. I came out of surgery a little groggy, but feeling great. I was able to leave almost immediately. Dr. H had highly recommended a special ICE machine for me to use 2 weeks post-op. (My previous doctor had told me about it as well but said it was unnecessary. I can tell you from experience... Dr. H highly recommends the ice machine for a reason, it works miracles!!) I am now almost 6 weeks post op. I am still in the process of healing as the body does take time but I have no doubt I will be back to my 110% in no time (Snowboarding, running, and training). I have even discussed the possibility of having my right foot fixed with Dr. H. sometime down the road. He is the only person I Trust with the care for my feet. I am so Impressed with the outcome of my left foot and Appreciative of his care. I should also mention I enjoy going in for follow up visits. The ladies in the office are so friendly and supportive. As a big baby posing as a town man, I've put off the need to see a podiatrist for quite some time. I stumbled across Advanced simply by seeing their sign, so I called. My toes, especially my two big toes were in bad shape, so I went to my appointment prepared for pain. Guess what? Dr DiStefano took care of my problems without any pain whatsoever. A total different experience! Many years ago, I had a bunionectomy done by a different doctor, it was a very miserable experience. I was in pain for months following the surgery. Until I met Dr Hendizadeh, I was afraid to get the another bunionectomy done on my other foot. This time, it was different. Dr Hendizadeh and his staff eased my anxiety. They took x-rays of my foot and Dr. Hendizadeh patiently explained the procedure of the surgery and answered all my questions. He made me so comfortable, I booked for surgery on my first visit. Before surgery, I was set up with a boot, a bandage protector, and an ice/compressor machine. Immediately following the surgery, I was able to walk with the boot. Recovery was MUCH better than the first time. Unlike the first experience, I had no pain following this surgery. Swelling was kept to a minimum with the ice/compressor machine. It is now 5 weeks since the surgery, I am able to walk in sneakers. I look forward to wearing shoes without any pain! As a recreational runner, my feet really take a beating. Unfortunately, after a run one day, I started getting severe pain in my foot, and could barely walk. I was referred to Dr. Lee at Advanced Podiatry. Unlike a lot of doctors out there, Dr. Lee was courteous, professional, and took the time to evaluate my condition and address my concerns. Dr. Lee wasn't quick to prescribe medication to cover up the symptoms. Rather, her focus was on identifying the root of the issue, and developed a treatment plan so that I could resume my normal lifestyle. Dr. Hendizadeh and his staff truly saved my life. After a botched surgery left me with painful scars and scars coming through the bone in both feet, I could barely put pressure on my right foot let alone walk. I had waited until the last possible second to go to the doctor because I was afraid of doing more damage to my foot. When I had met Dr. H and staff, they completely calmed me down and reassured me that I was in the best hands possible. Well, they were right. They fit me in for surgery within the week, tended to my every need and broke the patient/doctor wall. They explained everything they were going to do to my foot during the procedure, they answered every one of my calls (even the middle of the night panic ones, sorry Dr. DiStefano ) and constantly called to follow up. The surgery went better than I could have ever expected, my foot is perfectly straight with a minimal scar. More importantly, I am able to walk, run and return to all my normal activities. I am proud to say I have just booked my second surgery with this team for my left foot. I have never met doctors that care for their patients like these doctors do. Went to this office because I dropped furniture on my foot and thought I broke a toe. I was x-rayed-nothing broken but was sold a hard shoe cast 25.00. I received a bill from Medicare that Dr. Croughan billed them for inserts for me at over 700.00 dollars! I was never given, measured or offered inserts for my shoes. I WAS THERE for a broken toe! The office also charged Medicare the 25.00 I paid up front for that stupid shoe. I reported them to Medicare as fraudulent charges. FIND ANOTHER FOOT DOCTOR the office is nice but these doctors are useless. read more

I decided to see Dr. Hendizadeh based off of all the glowing reviews, however my experience with him was far from five stars. Upon arrival, his assistant tried to talk me into getting a completely unnecessary X-ray done. I hadn't broken or sprained anything, and saw no reason for the pointless radiation exposure and extra cost. I told her repeatedly I wasn't interested in doing it (for as she persisted- "just in case"), especially since I hadn't even seen the doctor yet. The tools that were used were not clean at all; when the nail clipper was picked up, a nail fell out. Disgusting! Dr. Hendizadeh was a down-to-earth guy, but his work was terrible. During the follow-up visit he had me come in for, I told him that I was in even more pain than the first time I saw him, and I was visibly more swollen. He insisted that I just needed to give it more time, and that I needed to see him again in six weeks. About two weeks later, the swelling increased and I was in unbearable pain. I saw a different doctor, who corrected Dr. Hendizadeh's mistakes. Turned out that he didn't even clip the correct part of nail! The swelling went away after a few days. I wasted money on two co-pays to see Dr. Hendizadeh, just to have to go to a different doctor for corrective measures. Between the persuasion for unneeded X-rays, suggestions for countless follow-ups, and calls from his secretary saying I owed him more money (I had to deal with the headache of back and forth calling my insurance company and his office - turned out I didn't owe him anything more), it seems to me that Dr. Hendizadeh not only doesn't do good work, but he tries to scam his patients into giving him the most amount of money he could get his hands on. read more
