For example, several years ago she measured my feet for custom inserts to treat my plantar fasciitis. She carefully explained how to break them in: one hour on the first day, two hours the next, gradually increasing until I could wear them for at least eight hours a day. She also injected pain medication into my feet (ouch!) to provide temporary relief. Thanks to her care, I eventually fully recovered. I've also seen other podiatrists at this practice during emergency visits when Dr. Papathomas wasn't available. Like her, they are highly skilled and clearly explained their diagnoses. I had already scheduled a follow up with my podiatrist the week after I had my consultation with Dr.Levenstein. Both doctors were diametricakky opposed in treatment and diagnosis. But I continued on with Dr. Levenstein. I am amazed.. each treatment gave me more range of motion and less pain. I'm out of my sneakers and wearing real shoes. Besides taking wonderful care of my feet, Dr. D is one of the most caring doctor/human being I have ever known. His bedside manner is incredible. I am grateful that he has been part of my medical team. When his office merged a couple years ago, he asked if I would see Dr. Kumar. He needed to share his workload and said she was very good and I would like her. He was right. She is an excellent doctor, honest, caring, and has most of the same qualities that Dr. DeCicco has.
