I saw Dr. D very often for several months. He was always filing, snipping and smoothing my feet. He surgically removed an ingrown toenail, fungus toenail and planters wart. Besides taking wonderful care of my feet, Dr. D is one of the most caring doctor/human being I have ever known. His bedside manner is incredible. I am grateful that he has been part of my medical team. When his office merged a couple years ago, he asked if I would see Dr. Kumar. He needed to share his workload and said she was very good and I would like her. He was right. She is an excellent doctor, honest, caring, and has most of the same qualities that Dr. DeCicco has. I was suffering from overgrown bunions and a couple of hammertoes as well. I had heard nightmare stories from people who had more traditional surgeries. These two doctors have perfected a minimally invasive technique that allowed me to leave their office walking. One foot at a time they made all my foot problems go away and just two weeks between both surgeries which by the way were done in their office with only local anesthesia. No pain and I had no downtime for recuperation, just some swelling. Two weeks after the second surgery I was walking on the beach and swimming in the ocean. My foot was not cut open…read moreand I had no stitches or long incisions, just tiny punctures in my footI I didn't have to go to any hospital or surgical center and didn't need to obtain any pre op clearance or tests from my medical doctor. I was able to eat before my surgery and was awake watching TV as just my foot was numbed with novacaine. I even was able to get a pedicure before the operation! Before being referred to Dr. Kirell by 2 of his other patients I had 3 other consults with surgeons who all wanted to put screws and plates in my foot and put me to sleep. I was told I would have to be off my foot for a few weeks and use either crutches or a scooter to get around and wouldn't be able to drive or go up the steps to my bedroom. After my surgery by Dr. Kirell I was walking right away and driving a few days later. I just wore a small surgical shoe for a few weeks and then transitioned in my old sneakers that the doctor cut open. Avoid These Doctors at All Costs!…read more RUN IS RIGHT! I cannot believe they are still practicing! SHAME ON THEM! I strongly urge anyone to stay away from these podiatrists. They caused permanent damage to my toes with their so called non-invasive procedure. I've consulted with several top specialists and have been told nothing can be done to correct it. I have been living with the consequences of their poor judgment and substandard treatment for years! I've also discovered that I'm not alone. Many others have tried to pursue legal action against them but it appears they've taken significant steps to shield themselves. Multiple attorneys have refused to get involved, noting how well-protected these doctors are. It's incredibly frustrating and discouraging. They are an absolute disgrace to the medical profession and should not be allowed to treat patients!
