First I will start off and say. The funeral director that did all the arrangements was wonderful.The gentleman who took us to the graveside to pick plots was also very good. All went well till we picked the head stone and thats where it started to unravel. We picked the type we wanted, the art work etc. Before Christmas. Was told it would take a few weeks to get back with us for the final sign off. We gave them more then a month since it was the holidays. Literally had to go back to the funeral home to get the draft only to find out there was a wrong date. Was told should only take a few days. We'll that took over a week. Back to funeral home to sign off again. Today I find out the granite we picked out will be shipped internationally which will take longer. You have got to do better then this to a grieving family. Everytime we walk into the funeral home its like living it all over and maybe if we were told up front this particular stone was internationally we would have went a differant route. Yea we could change but to restart that process is like ripping off a bandaid each time. We started the process before Christmas and final sign off March 1st. To have stone possibly be there by October. So to anyone purchasing a grave marker please make sure where the stone is coming from read more

I am writing this review on behalf of my mother, Jacqueline Perry. On the evening of July 21st, 2023, my 96-year-old grandmother passed away. On July 26, 2023 we had a beautiful wake/memorial for her there and my mother can't stop giving GLOWING reviews for everyone involved there at Klein's in Tomball. She definitely wanted to point out that Reed was fantastic to deal with and in a time of sorrow, he made things easier. My grandmother looked fantastic in her coffin, and they did an amazing job giving us a beautiful memory of the way she looked before getting sick there in the end. Overpriced take advantage of the families during a very critical time. We have put flowers on my brother in-laws grave and spent substantial amounts of money and they remove them within two weeks with no notification. I would give them a half star. Fillet fillet. read more

Went here for my Mom's funeral. Initial interaction was positive and patient with us. We bought our casket here and scheduled the chapel for 10 am service. A friend of ours did the flowers and when she went to deliver them they told her they did not have anywhere to store them that was refrigerated or even cool. She asked for the manager to see if they could be stored somewhere they would be fresh for the next am and no one ever came to speak to her. After the service, the pallbearers were to place the casket with Mom in the hurst. This did not happen, it appears the hurst was not available??? Where was it and why were they unprepared to finish the ceremony with this final step all the grandsons were to do for their grandmother? They seem caring and concerned but in my opinion are unorganized and do not follow through. Would not use again. read more

These people are INCOMPETENT LIARS and FRAUDS. Their CyFair location is less than 2 minutes from me and I chose them to handle my father's arrangements without reading any of these reviews. In our initial meeting, 9/30/17, we discussed billing and I showed them an insurance policy that could cover the costs of the services but also let them know I could pay out of pocket. That same day they had me sign a blank contract and a blank assignment form for the insurance should I decide to pay that way. The next day I called the insurance to ask how the assignment form worked. They advised me to not do the assignment form saying that many funeral homes overbill and that it was better to pay them in person after confirming a total amount. I spoke to the "fill-in" director, Raymond, and informed him that I did not want them to bill the insurance via an assignment form and he said he would have my actual director, Reed, void the assignment form. Three weeks later, I still had not received the death certificates or my final invoice/contract so I called on 3 occasions to ask when these would be available so I could make my payment and pick up the death certificates. I was given the run around each time. I ended up having to go to the vital statistics office and sit in there for 3 hours. They informed me that funeral homes only have 10 days to complete the death certificate or the state gets involved. So at this point the state got involved. I had to return 2 days later after the state completed the death certificate. Wait, it gets much better... A few days later the insurance company contacted me to inform me that they were sending out a payment to both me and the funeral home. I was confused as to why they were sending a payment to Klein as there was no valid assignment form authorizing them to take money. The insurance company informed me that the funeral did in fact send them an assignment and what's more... it was NOTARIZED. I specifically expressed that I did not want them billing the insurance and I certainly never signed anything before a notary!! Come to find out, Klein had the document, that was supposed to be voided, ILLEGALLY NOTARIZED and sent it to the insurance company. To make matters even worse they had billed more than $2000 than what the services actually were! When I contacted Klein to ask why they had done this, they were rude, lied several times, and tried to spin it as if I had done something wrong. The funeral director, Reed, lied saying that he was the notary who had signed the assignment form and that he never received notice that it should have been voided. He went on to say that he had been notarizing documents for over 20 years and nothing was illegal about him signing it. I had the insurance company forward me the document and upon review he in fact WAS NOT the person who notarized the document!!! Some lady, whom I'd never met or even talked to, by the name of Kathleen Schultz did. I went even further as to check the Secretary of State's notary database and Reed was not even listed as an active notary!!! He just plain LIED! When I confronted him with this information he quickly directed me to speak to his manager and that he did not want to be on the call any further. The manager Daryl Stessfield, contacted also trying to maintain that they had done nothing illegal although at this point it was clear they had. When I asked for Kathleen's number (the notary) he acted as though he didn't know where her office was or how to reach her. I found out that her office is actually right inside the funeral home. Upon contacting Kathleen the next day, she said she was completely unaware that this was taking place as read more

our family is not religious, but we wanted a nice service for our deceased relative. these guys wanted to charge us nearly $10,000 for a simple cremation and one hour's use of their chapel. had we had the cremation elsewhere and rented their chapel for an hour, they wanted over $4000. for an hour. they must have taken one look at us and seen dollar signs. to make matters worse, the salesman/funeral director LIED to my grieving octogenarian parents and told them that if we didn't use their services, my parents would 'have to go down to the morgue' and sign for the remains of my dead sibling. i'm okay with overcharging for services, if that's your business model, and weddings and funerals do tend to lend themselves to this sort of thing, as people just want to get the event done, but that lie was inexcusable, chuck, and led to this review. we ended up using integrity for the cremation (less than $1000, and of course they took care of picking the body up at the morgue as well as signing for it and issuing death certificates) and a local hall for the service. it was a bit more work on our part--i'm sure klein would have taken care of flowers, which we did ourselves, but we ended up with a much nicer service at a significantly more reasonable cost. additionally, the place we had our service smelled much, much better than klein funeral home. i don't know if this is what all funeral homes smell like (the embalming fluid, maybe?) but the odor when you walk in the door is pretty awful, and would have made a sad occasion even more unpleasant. read more

The staff here is very forgetful, unapologetic and even rude at times. They assured me that a headstone could be paid for through my mother's life insurance and that they would handle the paperwork but as soon as I walked out the door they forgot all about it. Several months later I hounded them over it and they started the process and forgot about it again. They didn't return my phone calls and I had to go through the insurance agency to figure out what had (or more importantly hadn't) been done. Now the funeral home claims to have no idea what I'm talking about and I have to start from scratch. It's been an unnecessary waste of our time and I find it insulting and hurtful that my mother still doesn't have a headstone, nearly a year after her death. read more

At each step they've been trustworthy, professional and respectful. But do you know what won me over? They're kind. Deeply, genuinely kind. At first they seemed very helpful, but they were forgetful, demanding, and at times downright rude... not the best behavior when a loved one has passed. I felt like I was at a fast food restaurant making decisions when I was handed the menu of burial choices. Not very friendly! I could never recommend anyone using their services! They are a big company that has many staff, and they could not get things done on time and then rushed us because of their incompetence. I felt like it was all about money! read more

Unfortunately we lost 2 family members in a week. The staff at Klein was more than helpful. Both services were handled with dignity and respect. I had great communication with everyone I worked with at the Champions Forest location. We also worked with the group at the cemetery in Cypress.
