We contacted Doug at Astro and provided an ETA. He was at the house we were staying in right on time. It was a big chip but not yet spreading. It took a lot of work to help prevent spreading. If you need to replace your windshield, these guys are definitely the ones to go and see! Came in…read moreabout a week ago with a medium-sized crack, hoping to stop drill it & seal it on the cheap. Talked to Detroit, who shot straight with me from the get-go. He said that the crack was too far gone and would keep spreading, no matter what we did. Told me to come see him when I was ready and that he'd give me a fair price when I did. Fast-forward about 1 week, and that crack had spread clear across my windshield (just as they had predicted!). I knew it was time to do a replacement. Even though I live on the North Shore, I came down to Gentilly to get the repair done because I had appreciated them being up-front and honest with me. I called ahead, gave them my VIN #, and asked if they had my windshield in stock (which they did). Drove over to their shop (not a flashy place; no bells & whistles; what you see is what you get). Sat in the shop while Dante replaced my windshield. I was in and out in a reasonable amount of time. New windshield looks great, and the price I paid is the one I was quoted (which was very reasonable). Service was extremely polite and professional from start to finish. No frills at all, but make no mistake. These guys clearly know what the heck they're doing over there!
