I was looking for a tutor for statistics CP for my daughter I found this place online so I stop by…read moreI was told they had already had a class for the course I was looking for with three students already in progress and the first session was free so after changing the schedule on me from 4:00 to 5:00 and from Thursday to the following Tuesday for two hours from 5:00 to 7:00 we finally made it to a session. There was only the tutor there when I dropped my daughter off I ask where the other students were and was told they had not showed up yet. I picked my daughter up at seven where I was ask to pay $52 for the one hour session and the fist hour was free but also a sign up fee of $95 then I found out that no other students were there actually there was no other kids there. The tutor they found they told me that she had no ideal what she was doing and that other tutor toke her place for the session when I talked to my daughter she told me none of the tutors know anything about the glass she was needing help with. So I emailed them to tell them she would not be returning for any more sessions. So I'm out $147.00. I was not offered a $95 refund on the sign up fee.

My child started at Sylvan and each time I had my monthly meet with the directors I was told he was…read moredoing great, but I still saw my child not making connections and then finally had him evaluated to find out he had a learning disability. I went to the directors and explained to see if we could get out of our contract, and they informed me that they work with children with this problem all the time. Then proceeded to ask me what they need to buy. If they work with this learning issue, then why don't you have the products. Rachel never returned my phone calls, so I tried to talk to Wendy who is I believe Regional; her communication skills are lacking, and she was zero help to get us out of our contract after we had proof that my child was doing better with a one-on-one tutor geared towards his learning disability. If I would have gone with my momma gut and had my child assessed, then I wouldn't be dealing with payments after the fact. Parents don't sign the contract and believe that they are going to do so great for your children. They sit at an iPad and work through a program parent you can do that at home on your own. Please find a one-on-one tutor. This location is absolutely not worth your time, I actually got more information and help from other locations and they didn't have great things to say about this franchise in fact they had clients move to their facility because this location was so bad I wish I could get the rest of this contract erased so I wouldn't have to make payments and focus on the new tutor payments

We had a consultation, explained to the director that he needs one on one tutoring and was told that they would be a great fit. When he started, we did in person tutoring at the facility so he could get one on one, in person tutoring. The director had told us about her degrees in education and that "she" couldn't wait to work with him. We were very surprised when we picked him Up from his session how young the "tutor" looked. The tutor looked to be in high school himself. We spoke with the director, whom we thought would be working with our son, and learned the tutor was older than we thought but none the less, didn't have a teaching degree. There is no one on one tutoring and there were usually 3-5 students per tutor. The sessions consisted of my child answering questions on an iPad. Waiting up to 15 minutes either for help or for the tutor to load new questions. This could happen 3+ times in a 2 hr session. When paying 50 bucks an hour and you sit idle for 30+ minutes, waiting on the tutor to help the other students, is like flushing $ down the toilet. We had many conference all's with the director and promises that they'd fix it. We eventually started doing the tutoring from home since there was no one on one teaching. Tutors would be talking very loudly to each other about movies etc which made it very hard for my student to focus. Every issue we brought to the director, she promised to fix. She only was stringing us along so we would miss our 60 day window to get our money back. Don't let them suck you in with promises that they can correct your child's learning issues. They don't care about your child at all. They only care about the money. Don't be fooled!! You'll loose 4 grand and your child will be no better off.

I would not recommend NC Professional Driving School. Sammy did not show up for my son's first…read morebehind the wheel lesson. The morning of he texted me saying he would be a few minutes late. We waited for 45 minutes and he was a no show. The second lesson he changed the time of our scheduled appointment after I texted him to confirm the time on the day of the appoinment. This happened again on my son's second behind the wheel lesson. He changed the time and then was 15 minutes late. He had another student in the car for my son's second lesson and my son's second lesson was driving this other student in the car from Huntersville to Mathews to the student's home. My son said he was not comfortable with the way Sammy spoke to him, more yelling not teaching. My son also informed me that Sammy would be on his phone and texting during lessons! I believe this because day of 3rd behind the wheel I was texting with Sammy and then called him and he answered while driving in the car with a student giving a lesson. I know because after speaking with me for a couple of minutes and me expressing that I was unhappy with his services he told me he was giving a lesson and had to "pay attention" to his student driver. I chose this school based on reviews and that they had a self-paced online teen course. I would highly reconsider using this school for the driver's ed teen education . They are unreliable and do not communicate well. Please take the time to read all reviews and do not make the same mistake I did. Sammy apologized for the way he spoke to me and explained he was having a bad day and has students all over Charlotte. If I am paying a premium of $428.00 I expect the owner to be professional and not make excuses for his disrespectful behavior nor his lack of being able to schedule appointments correctly. He does not respect other people's schedules or time nor does he model safe driving by texting and speaking on the phone during lessons. The lack of respect for my time, the lack of safety while driving and the way he spoke to me were only part of this very unpleasant experience.
