I had Mike rent out my Apartment and he was able to list, and have a lease signed in a matter of weeks. Mike is a sharp negotiator, and I would highly recommend him if you are looking to rent your place out, buy new, or sell. FYI.. I am a Senior Loan Officer for Mortgage Master Inc in the South End... Needless to see Ive interacted with hundreds of agents over my 15 year career. Mike is at the top of my list for Boston Real Estate. Thank you Mike!

Two years ago, Mike Sylvia (owner of The Terrier Group) helped my husband and I buy our first home,…read morea 2-bedroom condo in Southie. We used him as our buyers' agent and he was excellent. He talked us out of buying a condo that we thought we really liked (and which was more money than we intended to spend) because he thought it was overpriced. I knew then that he had a great deal of integrity and that he was a Southie expert. He ended up helping us buy a gut renovation on the east side of South Boston. It was an amazing home with parking and he got us a great deal. Two years later, our circumstances changed and my husband and I needed to move out of state and sell our home. Honestly, I was just hoping we would break even because we had planned on staying there much longer. Given our awesome first experience with Mike, we knew we wanted to use him to sell our condo. He was so helpful and honest once again - no surprise! Our home sold in 2 days and there was a bidding war. In 2 years, we made 20% on our home, which was completely unexpected. I have no doubt that part of that was due to Mike's expertise, professionalism, and salesmanship. Mike is pleasant to work with, incredibly responsive (it felt like emails were returned immediately, almost all the time), professional, and truly an expert in the biz. Mike is an amazing real estate agent on both ends of the game - if we were still living in Massachusetts, we would absolutely use him again!

The real star though was Kristen. Kristen was an outstanding advocate for us during two recent transactions, a sale and a purchase. For our sale, she guided us through all stages of the process. Everything from initial pricing strategy, through staging, open houses and negotiations. This all resulted in a FAST sale for us in a difficult market. For our purchase, she listened closely to what our needs were and used her in depth knowledge of the South Shore to provide advice. She was always quick to respond to questions and requests for showings. Kristen was there every step of the way for our family and we would highly recommend her to anyone that is looking to buy or sell in the South Shore.

We had so many moments when we could've put in an offer, or we could've settled for less, but Melanie did not allow that to happen. With her expertise and her ability to just fully understand what we truly wanted, she was able to give us advice that was thoughtful and she would not let us settle for less than what we wanted! Even when we had questions or any concerns, Melanie was super responsive and made us feel like we were her only clients, even though we know this is far from true. She really helped guide us through the whole home buying process and made sure we felt 100% comfortable before moving forward in the process. She helped us get our offer accepted on a home where she could tell that we could really picture ourselves, and 4 months in, my husband and I couldn't be happier living in our new home!

Being a single woman, putting in my first offer was intimidating, to say the least; but Jill talked me through the whole process and was there every step of the way, giving me the confidence I needed to move forward. She helped me draft a letter which turned out to be a huge factor in the seller's acceptance of my offer--great advice! From the mortgage broker to the home inspector, Jill got me in touch with a strong team who I fully trusted to get the job done. At the time, I heard so many horror stories about buying in the current housing market, that it is truly hard to believe how seamlessly things went for me from start to finish. Jill is organized, efficient, punctual and informative and I'm so glad I had her by my side throughout the process, making it all happen!

from Michael Quincy, Mass / NYC…read more If you are looking to list your home and property on the market, look no further than Hillary Birch. That is to say if you want a dedicated, intelligent, highly experienced broker with deep integrity and a super kind heart. I first met Hillary about 7 years ago, just a month after my mom had passed. My mom had left me her two family home in the Wollaston section of Quincy. I live in NYC, and everyone & anyone around me at the time strongly advised that I sell the house. When I met with Hillary during this time period, I had expected her to advise the same. From my previous experience in the real estate business, I'm aware that a sale is a lucrative and desire commodity; certainly over the rental market. Much to my surprise, Hillary suggested that I keep the property as an investment, and rent out the two units. I intuitively trusted her expertise; and most importantly, her humanity (not necessarily a common trait in business). I took her advice, and in just over six years, my house DOUBLED in value. When I was recently ready to sell, Hillary was (& is) the only agent in the business that I would consider working with. Unsurprisingly, Hillary brokered an accepted offer in less than two weeks, for TOP market value; and we closed in less than one month. Due primarily to Hillary's diligence, determination to make a deal advantageous for both parties, and her warm & gracious style.; the entire deal went smoothly from the first day to the closing. My only regret is that I don't own a another home in Boston, just for the fun and ease of working with Hillary all over again-:) Additionally, ALL of folks that Hillary collaborates with to make a selling a home successful transaction (including lawyers, contractors, etc) are reliable, dependable, and honest. Deciding when or if to put a home on the market can be a stressful proposition. However, if you're lucky enough to have Hillary Birch selling your property, you will be in the very best of hands.
