However, lately (the last two carpet cleaning experiences) were extremely expensive for the amount of time they spent actually cleaning the rug. They were here for about 20 minutes and it cost me over $160! Also, after the guys left I called the manager. I talked to him about pricing and an incident where one of the workers dropped a piece of equipment on my tile floor, he was rude to me. I think next time I am going to shop around for another rug cleaning service.

Not only was the staff warm and friendly, they went beyond the basic "are you finding everything" question and made me feel like they truly wanted to help find what was right for me. They asked questions about the craft projects I was working on and clarified my desired end results to be sure I had the correct products for my needs. BONUS points awarded: my Midwestern heart was happy to find bags of Dot's pretzels for sale at the register, too :) The great experiences I've had for my small shopping trips have secured me as a long-time customer. I've recommended Village Paint to a few friends in the midst of their own Fixer Up'ers and will for sure use them for our own decorating needs in the future, too.

I haven't been there in awhile because I haven't needed paint but when I do, that's where I'm going. I went in several years ago because I was clueless as far as how I wanted my house to look when I was remodeling it. All I knew I wanted it to look cohesive as far as colors went. Gary sat down with my wife and I for probably 45mins to an hour showing us paint color wheels and discussing we probably wanted to work off whatever floor color and countertop color we were going with. He gave us numerous choices. He also referred us to a countertop place and a cabinet place. I left with out purchasing anything because I had to ponder the options. The point is he sat down with us for a long time not even knowing if we would make a purchase or not. No pressure or anything. Just passing on his knowledge. I went back and bought paint for every room in the house from him. He made recommendations on eggshell, satin, flat based on what room it would be in or what the paint was going on (mouldings etc). I went back once to get paint for a front door. They actually sent me to Lowe's instead because they felt that Lowe's had a better tint for the color door I was looking for. I don't know of many businesses that would do that. In fact I don't know of any place that does that. I painted my kitchen cabinets and again Gary and Scott were a wealth of information on the type of paint to use, how to prep the cabinets and what rollers and brushes to use. I'm a lifelong customer now. They may be a little more money but this is truly a case where you get what you pay for and more. Whenever I go in there I'm treated like an old friend and I truly appreciate that. The paint is high quality the employees are even better. If you have some painting to do, do yourself a favor and stop in Village Paint. I think you will be glad you did.

He got to the bottom of an issue that we had with ceiling cracks where he not only fixed the crack, but braced the drywall so that the ceiling was even again - it looks brand new now! With his work, he shows that he cares about the final product for the customer while showing the need for perfection and pride in his work. If you are looking for a McDonald's fast food type of paint job Jason (D'Ambrosi) is probably not…read moreyour man. There are no shortcuts here. Jason is meticulous in his work. He takes the time to do the job the right way, not the down and dirty quick way so he can be done with you and on to his next job. Jason painted about 90% of our home's interior. There was a lot of damage from ice dams from the bad winter we had. Jason covered all the stains on our walls and actually repaired all of our damaged wood trim. Some of that damage was from previous owners who left many holes in the wood. There were numerous cracks from age and settling. Jason fixed them all so well they can no longer be seen. He also sunk nail heads that had popped through the wood. Jason actually also repaired numerous imperfections in our walls - from water damage and from many holes left from improperly hung wall items from previous owners. Jason covered everything in every room of our house. It actually looked like we were in an Ebola isolation ward. I say this as a compliment since Jason took remarkable steps to protect our furnishings. So, if you want a job that is done right, Jason is your man. Painting is not an inexpensive undertaking. However, be assured that you will get more than your moneys worth from Jason. It is abundantly apparent that he believes in the philosophy of delivering more than one promises.
