Appointment times start promptly without having to wait forever in the lobby. The dental hygiene staff are great and very thorough. I like the fact that the dentists rotate from appointment to appointment. This not only saves time (to get the one that is available), but I also get slightly different viewpoint from their "fresh" look. In fact, one time they caught a benign tumor on the back of my uvula. read more

Dr Kizer is an outstanding dentist who runs a superb practice. We (husband, myself, and three pre-teens) have been patients of Dr Kizer since we moved to Knoxville in July 2012, and are completely satisfied. Our visits to his office have covered all of the basic dental treatments to include: annual exams, cleanings, fillings, crowns, and teeth whitening. Dr Kizer and his staff excelled in every area. Let me share some basic comments on the things I look for in a dentist: Dental knowledge/skill: 5 stars! Not only Dr Kizer, but his entire team, are well-trained, experienced, and patient oriented. They work together extremely well. Timeliness: 5 starts! Appointments are always on time. Office: 5 stars! Clean and professional. Staff: 5 stars! Excellent service all around, from the receptionist to the hygienists to the billing team, everyone is focused on patient satisfaction. Pain management: 5 stars! Dr Kizer minimizes pain and works with his patients to ensure their comfort. I highly recommend Dr Kizer and his team for any and all dental needs. read more

I have visited Dr. Kizer since before he got his own practice. I have seen him about 5 times. His hygienists are very nice and professional (in particular, the ones at his new practice), and he himself is always kind and friendly. He filled one cavity for me, and it didn't give me any problems. I would definitely recommend him and his staff. read more

A friend gave me her dentists name because I moved her from another state. I am very skeptical about dentists because I have a fear of dentists that stems from childhood. So I called the office & the receptionist was so nice, I made my first appointment! Dr. Kizer was very nice & when I told him how fearful I am, he told me he would be as gentle as he could & together we would get through the extraction! Well I am home & all went well! I was very nervous but he took his time & he NEVER hurt me! I would recommend him to anyone looking for a dentist, and if you are like me, (afraid) you will love him! Thank you, Thank you, Dr Kizer & thank you Chris for recommending him! Sincerely, Linda read more

The staff is very friendly. I see Dr. Miller and he is very pleasant and approachable. I feel like they do a good job without recommending unnecessary work. Recently, I needed a filling repaired. It ended up being such a small and quick fix that Dr. Miller told the assistant to reduce the fee. How many dentists would do that? To me, it shows a fundamental fairness and caring for the patient. If you are looking for a dentist, I recommend this practice. read more

Excellent and professional dentist. I have never needed major work, but I can't say enough good things about this practice. I never have to wait at all for my appointment. Everyone from the receptionist to the hygienists and to dr Kizer himself are so nice and courteous. They will make you feel at home and at ease. This is (in my opinion) the best dentist in Knoxville. read more

First off, I never write reviews. My husband loves doing it so I leave it to him. My experience was almost life changing so hopefully I can help others that are in the same boat as I was. I grew up enjoying going to the dentist. I'm in my late 30's and have been to several dentists in different states due to relocating. I've had a few bad experiences in the last several years here in TN and I stopped going & stopped seeking out a new dentist. I became absolutely fearful of the whole experience. The last two times i went to the dentist I had a panic attack right in the chair! (I'm actually one tough cookie believe it or not) But due to a chipped filling I had to find a new dentist. My husband saw good ratings for this dentistry so I faced my fear. Everyone was very friendly and professional. I was most excited that they didn't want to do X-rays of my whole mouth and schedule more drilling's like everyone I've been to. When he fixed my filling he had such skill and confidence that I felt so at ease. I was completely numb and didn't feel any major discomfort or panic. He said I would feel discomfort/pain the next day but I didn't. I even came home and ate lunch immediately after the procedure. It was a good size filling too so this just goes to show that Dr. Kizer did an awesome job. By far, this was the best dental experience I have had. I scheduled my new patient appointment on my own- they weren't pushy to get me as a new patient etc. (beware of dentists that have a surgery center attached to their dental practice)- the place I went to wanted to do unnecessary drilling right thru your wallet! Including family members as well. So thankful I faced my fear and I now look forward to going to the dentist again! I highly recommend this practice!! read more

I would never go to another dentist. I had had to have many many procedures related to a tooth I lost in a bike accident and subsequent issues with that tooth. (None of which were due to Dr. Kizer.) Dr. Kizer has gone WAY above and beyond to help me with this tooth. He is personable, professional and does excellent work. I have also referred several friends to him and they do nothing but rave about the care they get from him. My situation was complicated and labor intensive and involved going to periodonitists and endodontists for second opinions/surgeries and then back to Dr. Kizer for the next step in my treatment. The other professionals I've seen have also complimented his work. He's the best! read more

Great dentist if you have not been in a while He is inexpensive compared to most dentist and worked with my insurance so I paid very little. My whole family including in laws all use his office now read more

I had a great experience at this office. Dr. Kizer was very nice and kind during our meeting. I had a tooth that was broken and needed a crown. We discussed the different options and decided to start work. I was there about an hour and was completely numb during the whole appt. I came back 2 weeks later and just left his office with a nice new crown that looks and feels great. I would recommend his office to anyone. read more

These guys restored my faith in humanity! I don't think I've ever received such care and attention from any medical services provider before. I was terrified of going here, lost a filling months ago, then the tooth fractured and I finally had to do something about it. It had been years since my last appointment and I don't have dental insurance, so I was incredibly intimidated going in here. They put me at ease immediately! They were friendly, caring, humorous, straightforward and not at all judge mental towards me and never tried to shame me. They gave me a tremendous discount too, the price was exactly as they said it would be, even though the extraction was quite laborious and it was more correctly a surgical extraction, they charged me the original quoted price. I can't imagine going to any other dentist. This staff is a team, they work tier her very efficiently with grace and kindness. They know they have something very special here and are thankful for it. This was just an absolutely incredible and positive experience, who knew having a tooth extracted would come with such a silver lining? read more

Here's the thing - Dr. Kizer's office is beautiful. It's well-decorated and clean. The exam rooms are well-designed and stocked with the newest, coolest looking dental technologies. Dr. Kizer himself is young and charming. Yet (and this is HUGE yet) I had one of the most unprofessional dental experiences at this office. I was fit in at the last minute, as one of my molars had started hurting just days before an overseas trip. I was at first really impressed by the office and by Dr. Kizer. After taking some digital x-rays, Dr. Kizer decided that I had the beginning of an abscess and prescribed me heavy duty painkillers and antibiotics just in case the abscess appeared while I was abroad. Ok. Great. So I left the office slightly worried and went about my less than merry way. An hour or two later, I found ten missed calls on my cell phone (which was on silent...oops), three from the dentist's office and seven from my parents. It turned out that the dentist's office requested that I come back so that Dr. Kizer could look at my tooth again. This time he decided that I had a microscopic crack in my tooth, which if I were staying in Ktown longer, he would cap with a crown. Ok. Great. Several days later I flew to Boston and managed to get an appt with another dentist for the purposes of a second opinion. This second dentist said that I had a cavity in that tooth which was filled improperly (you could see it in the x-rays), which was an easy fix. If you see Dr. Kizer for anything major, please be cautious. read more
