Little did I know unannounced by two previous dentist, I had a serious infection, that left untreated could and would cause serious damage and possibly even death. Dr. Lo Cascio shook his head and told me I need 4 root canals and 4 new crown to get me healthy again. This Infection had been in my mouth for over a year and the damage would only get worse. I proceeded with what would end up taking three month to fix. Once Dr. LO Cascio and I agreed and started the long process I never felt uncertain or intimidated like I had been with the previous other two dentist, that By-the-way never mentioned I had an infection. Dr Lo Cascsio and his staff created an environment that put me at ease throughout the entire three month process. The entire office has an uncanny calm, I never dreaded having to go to my appointments. Dr. Lo Cascio and his staff shared a friendly banter. They always seemed happy to be there and were in great spirits, which was not the case at the other dentist offices. Sounded more like someone wanting something for nothing and complaining, because they didn't get it. I have been a patient of Dr. Prevost for something like 20 years and I have never had an issue. Dr. Prevost is honest, caring and of the highest moral character not to mention a great dentist. He's the first dentist that I've ever known that when I needed a crown went over the various options, advantages and disadvantages of the different types as well as costs. Whether it's dentistry or medicine or vision these practitioners are not miracle workers, nor is a given diagnosis and treatment an exact science. But rest assured Dr. Prevost is thorough, experienced and sincerely cares about the health and welfare of his patients. My biggest concern is the day he retires. Nothing against other dentists, but he is the best and I have bragged about him anytime dentists have come up in a conversation. I highly, highly recommend him. Out of 5 stars he's gets a 5 only because 10 stars is not an option. And his office staff is friendly, professional and cares about helping however they can. Dr. Prevost placed a partial crown of the wrong color on my tooth. He did not verify if the crown…read morefrom the lab matched the shade sample that he selected during my initial appointment. I was not aware of that and, only after he completed the restoration I saw the crown shade significantly mismatched my tooth color. I immediately informed him about it. He brought my shade sample, and we saw the crown did not match my shade sample. He admitted his mistake, and - to correct the color - he suggested replacing the crown with a full crown. That would require removing more of my tooth structure and shortening my tooth's life. I wanted the most conservative restoration, and, therefore, I declined such a solution for correcting the wrong color. After I asked him for a refund for the color mismatch, he called my request unreasonable and changed the story. He said the color mismatch was caused by my natural teeth color. He added that it cannot be seen since it is a side tooth. However, it is visible. I did not receive what I paid for. He added that he spent too much time on my appointments. It seemed he was more interested in sharing the appointment time between multiple patients than ensuring he delivered the exact product he was paid for. I am posting anonymously to prevent violation of HIPAA.
