The first impressions were good; on arrival the salon (sneakily hidden down an alley way) had funky interior and a cosy waiting room. I was greeted by a very bubbly chick, perfectly manicured of course (the kind of manicured that makes me think I should be frequenting these types of places more often).The beauty therapist was equally as bubbly, and happily chatted away to me though the entire 'procedure'. The 'procedure' itself wasn't any more pleasant than usual, but the chatter was a good distraction and at least there was no awkward silence. I think the best part was the 'after cream', it was certainly soothing and I quickly forgot the whole ordeal. In the weeks following I was also impressed at the lack of rouge hairs or pesky in-growns; overall it was a superb job. Is it the best in Auckland? Well, I'm no expert, but it's the best I've had north of the bridge for sure!

This review is with respect to the waxing. A friend of mine told me about this place, said she had been and it was the bet wax she had ever had, so I went the following week. She was right, I still come here. What is different is the wax they use. It is not strip wax. The hot wax is applied to your skin, it cools and becomes like a thick film on your skin at which point the beauty therapist peels it off like a plaster, no pain. It is formulated to only take out the hair, it only adheres to the hair, not your skin. That is why you should go, painless waxing, it is possible. Great professional staff too, clean facilities and private rooms. I recommend it highly.

Professionail a couple stores down was fully packed and we didn't have time to wait so we decided to give Everlast a chance since it was empty (first red flag). first thing - they didn't push & trim our cuticles and never used any moisturiser OR cuticle oil... then the lady put the wrong size tips on most of my fingers. she then filed them down so much to the point where they weren't even the shape i had asked for anymore (coffin). the length that i had asked for was a lot longer then what they ended up looking like after she had finished filing them away. not to mention the amount of times i had to tell her that the sticker was not straight (it was clearly on the piss). WAY too over priced for the service and end result. never going back there, waste of money.
