Highly recommend the relaxation massage with it's full body incorporation starting from the back, down to the legs and up to the head and neck. Near fell asleep- so book this one for the afternoon or if you're writing off the day for anything productive then in the morning will be fine as well. Utterly zen after. They do therapeutic, deep tissue, Swedish and hot stone massages as well. They also do facials, derma stamp/ skin needling, hair removal/ wax, threading and IPL. My wax got under way, and I had a nice chat with the attendant, was all completed in less than twenty minutes. The wax had minimal pain, and was professional and neat. I was given lovely soothing lotion to apply to the area and felt ready for the beach. They sell beautiful Ecoya Candles which I could smell burning at the reception desk. Arriving at Lucy and the Powder Room, Hannah and I had a quick consultation before she set to work. Interestingly, the first thing she did, was measure my brows to ensure that everything (start, end, arches) was where it should be. "Hmmmm" was all she said before plucking, tweezing and waxing away. Five minutes later she was done and holding a mirror over my brows explaining the changes. She also showed me where I was and wasn't allowed to pluck and asserted that I must be back in 4 weeks time for a reassessment. Yes, ma'am! Once in my car I was horrified to see she had threaded off almost a full centimeter of my eyebrow, it was so extremely obvious - and she had the nerve to not hand me the mirror and allowed me to pay for what she had done without saying a word. I'm not exaggerating either, a centimeter of my right eyebrow was gone, beginning at my nose. I immediately went back to the salon and simply had to point at my eyebrow for them to all freak out, they all hushed me and escorted me away from the other customers so that they wouldn't be able to hear my complaint. They apologized and gave me my money back. Six months later my right eyebrow still has not grown back properly and I have just paid $530 to have an eyebrow tattoo/microblading to fix your mistake. I will never, ever go back. Sure, it was a mistake, but their mistake has cost me $530 and my confidence. No woman wants to walk around with part of their eyebrow missing after a visit to a beauty salon. So terribly disappointing.

She was lovely - very professional and didn't chat throughout the massage, which in my book is essential! I guess the idea with a hot stone massage is that the heat relaxes the muscles further. There's no doubt it was relaxing - I was verging on falling asleep - but if I am honest I think deep tissue massages are more up my alley. Just a personal preference thing...
