They deposited my check into the wrong account (someone with a similar name - they never asked to see my id or made sure it was me) then they told me that there was no way I could ever get my money back unless I could prove I was not this other person (we sharre the same name, so how could I prove this?). They were exceptionally rude about it. I got the feeling they were giving me the run around because I was just a college kid (kind of ridiculous since this is a college town). Eventually it worked out, but if you are going to be a customer I would seriously consider using the ATM's only (never go to a teller! never!!)

In the early years if I had to call the office, I got a person on the phone, and could resolve my questions quickly. However, for a long time every time or maybe once in awhile I get someone on the phone when I call but the majority of the time I have to leave a message. The message says, I will get a call back shortly, there have been times it was the next day. I am to the point I don't leave messages. I know there are times they can be too busy to get the phone but if you call back even three times during a day you get the message. Again, I feel most of the employees that wait on me when I go to the bank are nice but there are a couple bit-tie ones. I think that is in all businesses. It is frustrating to have to wait for return calls, I cannot stay home all day waiting. I hope they realize answering phone calls is important to customers.

Customer service line has greater than 30 min wait, zero consistently with answers. They referred us to the local branch where the branch manager displayed horrifying customer service skills. Eli could just answer one single question I had. Every answer was "I'm sorry I don't know". Citizens Bank in desperate need of Customer Service 101 classes. The appropriate answer at anytime would have been "I am so sorry, I don't have the answer but if you give me a few moments I'll find someone who can provide the answer". I could give Example after example from just one days' interactions , but I digress. I spoke with one person out of the 9 I dealt with in 24 hours who was deserving of the position she holds. And I'm sure she's the lowest paid. Just unbelievably horrific experience all-around. Shame on you citizens bank for tolerating this behavior.

The issue is they make it extremely laborious and arduous to get your money out of the account. Multiple phone calls, cable TV like customer service where the put you on hold copious times and still don't help you transfer your funds out of their account. It is intentional and systemic so DO NOT invest money with them, especially large sums, because when they do finally let you transfer money out, they cap the amount daily and monthly to hold on to your funds longer.

They were funny and knowledgeable and because this branch is pretty slow, they really went out of their way to help, plus I didn't have to wait to get my account going. Since then, I have never had an issue with Santander. Just wish they were open till 5. They close at 4, except on Fridays they close at 5.

I opened a business debit account at Arize. I called the branch in advance, knowing that opening…read morethe account would take time and I would most likely need an appointment. So I made one for a few days later. When I walked into the branch, they said they had no idea what I was talking about and they had no record of me making the appt. So, I had to wait about 30 minutes for them to be able to assist me. Ok. Not a big deal. I get in the office and start the process. First, the woman tried telling me I couldn't use the paper that the IRS provided me because "this isn't what they usually look like". Ok. Well I have nothing else to show you because this is what the IRS furnished for my business. So she gets approval from her manager to "accept it this time". She comes back and we continue. She then tells me that I can't open the account because I don't have an operating agreement. I have never needed an operating agreement between myself and a company that I am the sole ownership of before, but I was able to create one on the spot. So, we finally get the account open. They say I will receive my debit card in the mail soon. 3 weeks goes by without a card. I call and they say it got lost in the mail. Then we discover that they didn't put the suite number on my account address, so I had to submit an address change request. Ok. Get that done. Request a second card. It arrives about a week later and it doesn't have my last name on it. So I call again. They say "oh, we don't know how that happened. Let me get another one issued". I received the THIRD card in the mail and, lo and behold, it is correct. I go to activate it and it says "you've exceeded the maximum number of attempts to activate this card". Interesting. I haven't activated the card yet. So I call the number on the back and the guy says "try calling the number on the back of the card". I explain that I did and that's how I got in touch with him. He says "oh. I'm going to have to submit this for an escalation and a call back". 3 days later, I still don't receive a call. I call again. They tell me the same thing. I am awaiting the call back. I opened the account 65 DAYS ago, and I still do not have a functioning debit card. To say this has been the absolute WORST banking experience I've ever had would be an understatement. I would not ever recommend this credit union to anyone.

I tried to make a deposit today with cash back in the lobby. I did t realize I had to give my name and phone number to do so. I assume it's a contact tracing thing. For a simple deposit. I had a mask and all. The problem was with the terrible attitude when I didn't immediately vomit all my info, which they already have with all my banking info. I just used the ATM. This particular branch used to be fun to visit. Nice ppl and atmosphere. I'll pick another in the future.

Why would anyone do business with a company that doesn't respond to your inquiries? Mine was a very generic question but it tells me a lot about being a customer. If this was a much more important question, would they have responded? To me, they have failed what was the easiest way to get me as a customer. I would recommend just about any other bank.
