Stayed at this Holiday Inn Express on an overnight trip with my family to Richmond and Vancouver. It is located within the Riverport entertainment complex in Richmond, which is away from the main part of Richmond. The hotel is relatively small as there are only a few floors. Check-in was slow as there was one person at the front desk and a somewhat long line. Once checked in, I was able to park in the lot behind the hotel. Unlike the other Holiday Inn locations, parking is free here. We stayed in a comfy double bedded room, which had a mini fridge and microwave inside the room. There is a free daily hotel breakfast available downstairs and the selection was better than expected. Offerings include pancakes, eggs, sausage, baked beans, cinnamon rolls and rice. The hotel also has recreational facilities as there is a pool, fitness centre and a fenced basketball court outside. I really like this location as it feels quiet and secluded. You do not hear much street traffic in this area at night, which is a huge plus. It is preferable to have a car as there are not a lot of restaurants nearby. However, taking public transportation is doable as there are nearby bus stops along Steveston Highway. I would consider staying at this hotel again if I am doing another overnight trip up to Richmond and Vancouver due to room comfort and its amenities.

Caitlin was awesome to work with. From the moment I sent my venue request email, she was very responsive, organized and easy to work with. We hashed out most of the details in the first two weeks of working together, and then about a month before the party, we connected again to finalize the details. On the day of the event, we were able to set up as early as 10 AM. Right when I got in, Caitlin was super helpful and offered her help to bring in the decorations. When we were setting up, numerous staff members came through and were very helpful and kind. The venue itself is beautiful. Other golf courses I've been to, their ballrooms were plain, boring, and simple. Beach Grove's golf course is modern, beautiful and leads out to a beautiful outdoor patio that overlooks the golf course. The food was delicious! There was mashed potatoes, pesto canneloni, 4 different kinds of salads, prime rib, and other dishes I can't remember, but it was all so good. Shoutout to Doug, Rachel, and Keith who made our night extra special by providing awesome customer service to my family and friends. If you're looking for an event venue, any time of the year, I'd highly recommend Beach Grove. If you're in Vancouver, it's worth the drive, and if you're in Tsawwassen, then you have no excuse. Beautiful space, wonderful staff, delicious food. You can't go wrong!

Try not to drive into the ditch for these spots. The farm buildings have been restored, and actually look pretty cool. There's a house, a barn, and a bunch of rusty old farm equipment. There is also a large community garden, and a bee section at the far end. Plenty of green space and paths to walk around too. Can't really comment on the high tea here but apparently it's available. Pretty neat to visit if one hasn't seen any 1800s buildings before. 1-2 hours is enough.
