My mother signed up for WellCare while being hospitalized after a stroke. Within a day Kirkendall called her saying they would represent her for social security/disability. My mom hasn't even signed up for SSI/disability, just WellCare insurance. Now the law firm is calling my phone and my sisters phone, somehow knowing she's our mother and gaining access to our phone numbers. Also, none of us even live in Texas. There has to be some sort of hacking going on, either with the govt sites or actual phones. Huge red flags. read more

After 8 months he found out from the actual disability department that he had never even had an application filed for him. After 8 months he had to start over completely. They handled me disability case horrible and kept changing my caseworker every few days because they were hemorrhaging employees. Eventually I couldn't get in contact with anyone and had to go through BBB complaint. After they poorly handled my case I lost and they dropped me. read more

First off, I work at Social Security. I can tell you this firm NEVER files ANY claim properly. EVER. They call all the time about claims we have returned or are going nowhere because they are incomplete or incorrect. It does not surprise me to read other reviews here saying they are just fishing for clients who never filed anything at all! Total fishing expedition for attorney fees on claims they have ZERO expertise in how to handle. Hopefully the government catches on to this so-called law firm and takes appropriate action. I've been waiting for over 2 years for my disability to be approved. I spent 2 months last year in the hospital and 4 1/2 months in the hospital the year before. The orthopedic surgeon gave me a written statement that I will never walk again. I have hiv, and was hospitalized for having full blown aids. And this is just a fraction of what I have in my file. Not once was I informed by my attorney that I had a court date. I called the ss office today and I was just informed I had court yesterday and I was denied !! At this moment. My caseworker from Metro Inclusive is helping me find representation to help me attain the disability that I should have had a year ago. If this attorney couldn't get me my disability and I am barely able to get aroundmy apt...good luck trying to get yours. ​ read more

If I could give ZERO STARS I WOULD. This company keeps calling me on my work phone, which is a government phone and harassing me about social security disability which I have never filed and know nothing about. Every time I ask them how they got my number they hang up on me. Very UNPROFESSIONAL and RUDE. I ask to speak to a supervisor and was told that I must have a case with them or they can't transfer me to a supervisor. I have no idea how this law firm is considered reputable. NO reputable business would hang up on a caller or harass people. read more

I would not recommend this attorney they give you false hopes and don't even file a lawsuit when they tell you for years have a case with 3m combat ear plugs. They said I had tinnitus and never even applied for that only hidden hearing loss. This firm will only email you and give you run around. they send you forms with out verbally explaining my case. read more

The Kirkendall Dwyer office in Dallas, TX, repeatedly sends me documents to sign. Those documents contain personal information, such as the recipient's social security number. The problem is that I AM NOT THE PERSON THEY ARE LOOKING FOR. I've advised them probably 50 times via email, and once in writing, that they've got the WRONG PERSON, yet they STILL send documents. This is extremely frustrating, because I've literally received 17 emails from them in the last 3-4 days. I've had this email address since 2007, and I use it heavily for both personal and business use. My email has become unusable due to having to weed through all of their junk. Obviously I'm going to have to change my email address, which will be a monumental task, because they simply WILL NOT STOP. They won't even respond! It's also VERY ALARMING that a LAW FIRM is sending out their clients' personal information without verifying first that they have the correct email address! A LAWYER, of all people, should know better! An identity thief could have a field day with this information! I would recommend using extreme caution if you are dealing with this company! read more

As we where at Social Security office we got a call from Kirkendall who led us to believe that they where from the social Security office and was told we do not have to wait at the office and everything could be done over the phone. All the info was given to them and they stated that we needed to sign the Paperwork ASAP. So after getting home and signing said Paperwork I started checking this out. Turns out they signed us up to have them Represent our Claim. We had not even filed for a claim yet so WHY WOULD WE NEED A LAWYER TO REPERSENT US. I have called their office 4 times today (less than 24 hours later) to stop this paperwork. I was told I would get a call back 2 times and 2 times was HUNG UP ON. So far I am still trying to resolve this issue. THEY ARE MISSLEADING THE PUBLIC. I have no idea how they got our Phone number other than HACKING THE GOVERNMENT COMPUTERS. As I stated we had just signed in at the office and 5 Min later got this call, And they where from the Disability division of Social Security. read more

Worst disability lawyer possible! Do not hire! I lost everything because of these ignorant horrible people! They wasted my time, wasted my disability claim. Because of them I can no longer get disability. Good at the beginning then it turns into unanswered calls, no response to emails, texts, nothing! You people owe me for me losing any chance of getting my disability. EVER. You should not be disability attorneys because you're no good at it. I regret even hiring your firm to help me because you failed every way possible. How do you convince someone to keep you on, then when a decision is unfavorable, lie and say you will appeal it then decide to withdraw without notifying your client? An email isn't good enough to withdraw, especially when you know your client didn't have access to the internet on a regular basis? What makes it worse? My god where do I begin... They "fought" a disability case for me over a period of 2 years. I was in a bind and no one would take my case originally because I was 2 months from turning 30 which is apparently too young to have a disability (I know that is the Governments fault, not theirs). They sent me a large packet of different paperwork for SSI/SSDI all together. I filled it out and returned it from a direct drop post office... 3 months went by and I got curious and reached out to their office. They claimed they never got my paperwork and sent me another copy. I filled that one out and sent it in the same manner- another 2 months goes by and Ive been out of work over a year at this point because I didn't immediately file after my accident. I called my assigned Lawyer and left several messages and emails over another couple of weeks. When I finally got a response they said they had sent my packet to the wrong place and needed me to fill it out again. On the third time filling out this massive packet of papers they received it timely and I was actually communicated with for a short span. The lawyer I ended up with was casually rude and condescending. I expected everything was going well as I hadn't heard anything- I got a letter from the SS office and they wanted a telephone hearing for my case. I got a call from a lawyer from Kirkendall saying they assigned me someone new. They were even more rude and condescending than the first and did a god awful job of preparing me for the hearing. They are untrustworthy and extremely unorganized. It took almost a full month after I received my ruling for me to get them to release me from our contract and seek better representation. The worst experience Ive ever had. Found a new lawyer that listened and got things done properly and got a positive ruling finally. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME WITH THESE PEOPLE- PLENTY OF OTHER OPTIONS. read more
