Fine as a dive bar. It's what I expected. As long as you want a beer, Kip's is fine. The twice per week summer karaoke is horrible for anyone staying in St Mary. It starts at 9 pm and goes until they close at 2 am. You can hear drunk people scream singing Top 40 hits from the 2000s no matter where you are. read more

We ordered a pizza here after a day at Glacier. It was a divey spot but the back patio was cute. We ordered the pizza that was half veggie, half meat and it took a while to come out. Once it did come out, half of it was so burnt it was basically inedible and the dough on the other half was basically still raw. It was like they were supposed to turn it half way through and had forgotten. I was kind of shocked they would even serve it to us but being starving after having waited so long already and also it being the middle of nowhere so there's not many other options around, we picked it apart and ate what we could. They also don't have very many beers for a place called a beer garden. I would recommend trying somewhere else in the area. read more

Cold brews, nice staff, great views, fun crowd, just the right vibes, killer karaoke, beautiful night

Great small town bar. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Fairly busy, about 75% full, food took about 45mins after ordering. Cool spot to hit after a day at the park. Only complaint is that the seats (picnic tables) felt extremely too far away from the table. After a 12mi hike, my back was toast. I then had to lean forward at what felt like a 45 degree angle to eat. Still recommend though! Corndogs were pretty basic, not much to it. I could taste some of the cheese inside the dog. The curds were great, some of the best I'vd had. Slight hint of garlic, chewy, hot...yum read more

Funky little spot in the middle of nowhere. Good beer and a local hangout. Never made it in time for the food, but the beer and the atmosphere were a dive bar vibe. Karaoke was loud and proud fueled by adult beverages. read more

What a gem! We stumbled upon Kip's after hiking in Glacier, and we're so glad we did!! We had a blast playing cards (that the bar had on hand) while we waited for our pizza. We got two different pizzas, both of which were fantastic. This is a must stop if you are in the area. As of July 2023, they were open for dinner from 4pm to 9pm. The bar was open until 2am. read more

Kip's Beer Garden - a bar with a variety of drinks - Beer Gardens Near Me - Saint Mary, Montana

Quick service, and a bison pastrami just like my Jewish grandmother in Wyoming would have made if there were Jewish grandmothers in Wyoming.

Kip's was an unexpected great experience! It isn't much looking at it from the outside, but the inside offers a great selection of drinks with a lot of beer and ciders, a menu with a good variety of bar food, and friendly, fast local service. We watched the food coming out of the kitchen and everything looked amazing, from the pizzas to the chicken stripe and French fries. The portions were large and the price was low. This is a great spot in the small community of St. Mary with a different feel from the others that makes everyone welcome for a good time. read more

So much wow. Went in for a drink at 8 PM while waiting for a pizza. Glass of red wine? Sorry, no wine. Gin and tonic? Sorry, no tonic. Cosmo? Sorry, no cranberry. Margarita? "Well, I haven't cut any limes yet". At 8 PM. The bartender actually was so lazy he made us squeeze our own limes. This guy was hard pressed to pop a can of beer. I realize it's called a beer garden, but this was ridiculous. read more

If you like a dive bar this is your place. Showed up around 6 after a hard hike in the park and wanted some beverages. Double talls were flowing and the chicken strips hit. Our waitress was wonderful and closing this place down seemed like a no brainer. If you're measuring your experience on good vibes, this laidback gem won't disappoint. The only thing that is missing is a live band but regardless it was a great time. read more

Kip's Beer Garden - Dranksss - Beer Gardens Near Me - Saint Mary, Montana

Wonderful wood fired pizza in East Glacier. I ordered a 12" Grizz Bizz and it was the bizz!!! I had a great local IPA while I waited for 5 bucks, nice price. The bartender/order taker was very nice and professional. The service was fantastic. I just went for the pizza, but this place is a bar with pool tables and an outdoor venue. Stop by for some great pizza or they have a nice selection of other pub fare as well. Wings, tenders, house-made fries, calamari, spicy cheese... read more

The one I went to is very near the junction of Saint Mary's and the going to the sun road, and the location noted on yelp is not the one I went to The location I went to is at the junction of route 89 and going to the sun road, slightly north on route 89 on the left-hand side Pretty good as it is family friendly with pool and foosball, and a great back patio that is open air with live music at times. We were there on a Thursday night and there were three other families there with kids ranging between eight and 18. Drinks served in red Solo cups which I liked a lot. We had pepperoni pizza, onion rings, chicken tenders, and fries, and all of them were very good except the pizza was average at best AND I absolutely must not recommend the chicken wings my wife had as they were underdone and not very tasty at all. Service was spotty at best as there's one person working the bar, taking orders and cleaning tables while there's probably one other person in the back cooking the food. No one available for service for 5-8 minutes at a time then you pop into the restroom for 1 minute and your beer which was half full disappears. She was nice enough to refill it before I left. Great local beers on draft plus a full bar. I highly recommend this place, just don't order the wings. read more

Kips was incredible. That Montana service charm glows bright here. The beer selection was not quite infinite, but damnit, was it close. Only place open in a 75 mile radius, so as long you consider that, you're gonna have a good time. If you are expecting fast pizza or a red carpet, get off your high horse and look elsewhere. Oh wait, there is nowhere else. So guess you're gonna take it and like it. Which is admirable to say the least. Karen's/Kyle's (see nerds review below) please avoid, nobody cares about you and your gripes. We ate here 3 nights in a row and are all still here. Wait staff was appropriately rude given the customers, which again I can appreciate. We came late September in the beginning of the offseason, thank god for kips for saving us from perishing. We more than likely would have starved to death, I was in a party of 3. Thank you kip! If I was stranded in a desert with nothing to eat or drink, you bet your ass I'd come to Kips. Kips rules glacier national park. 5 stars again and again. read more

Kip's Beer Garden - O-rings and fries chigga chigga yeah - Beer Gardens Near Me - Saint Mary, Montana

Probably the best place to eat dinner in the St Mary/Babb area. The ambiance was consistent with the name. Locals hangin' out were fun to meet. Pizza was very good. It's baked in a wood-fired, stone oven. If you're in the area try it. read more

Fun place to hide in during a torrential downpour outside the east entrance of Glacier. Service was slow, but the beer was cold while we waiting for our food. Would definitely go back! read more

Super awesome local vibe full bar with food. We had the wood fired pizza called the Griz with added onions and red pepoers. Not only was it tasty but beautiful. Drink of the day equally to die for. Forgot the name lol. My honey local IPA which was equally amazing. So lucky to find this place. read more

Bad service decent food waited almost 2 hours for food pizza takes about 30 minutes to an hour or longer to be served do not recommend

Loved this bar! It's on the Blackfeet Reservation. Pool table. Lots of locals. Friendly and relaxed vibe. The bartender was lovely - she looked like Stevie Nicks (she said everyone there calls her gypsy, which is just perfect) - and she powered up her iPhone and played us all music since the jukebox was broken. There was nothing else open in town (we went off season) so we ate here. It's great for what it is, which is simply divey bar food: greasy fries and fried shrimp. It hit the spot. I'd definitely go back. Try the local "Going to the Sun" IPA! read more

We were in Glacier during off season and this was one of the two places open in town. So glad we stopped here! Bartender was really cool and we had a great discussion with him about hikes in Glacier, things to do, and other random things in the world. I bet it's a fun place during season! read more
