I had a very negative experience at this school. Many of the teachers seemed unprepared or uninterested in actually helping students learn, and last year several of the best teachers were let go due to budget cuts. Despite the school claiming a lack of funds, they still spent money on things like a large TV in the kiosk and upgraded air conditioning in the office. The school enforces strict rules, including mandatory uniforms and clear backpacks, which feel unnecessarily harsh and invasive. Getting written up for minor infractions is common, and if you get sick and miss school, they are quick to threaten truancy letters and conferences, even when the absences are legitimate. The school also eliminated nearly all counselors and electives because of budget issues, so important programs like mariachi, band, and IB classes are gone. There are not enough teachers, and some are forced to teach multiple subjects and grade levels. Overall, I do not recommend this school; the environment is overly strict, under-resourced, and not supportive of students. If I could give it zero stars, I would. read more
