I found this place based on the recommendation of my mother. I was looking for a nicer place we…read morecould meet friends for dinner. This was definitely a good choice. The restaurant is small, intimate and does not seat all that many so if you're going to be more than two people I would suggest making a reservation. We were four people with reservations at 6pm. At first we were the only ones there but within 15-20 minutes the restaurant filled up. We ordered a variety of tapas ranging from their bread and aioli to the honey glazed goat cheese and traditional Spanish chorizo and meatballs. Excellent flavor in most of the dishes. The calamari was slightly bland but cooked well. Make sure to order the dates wrapped in bacon. We got 3 servings of it! Now let's get to the price. There's no denying that going out to dinner is expensive in Norway but for the amount of food we got, a bottle of wine and three beers we paid about $55 per person which is NOT bad for an expensive country like Norway. So, if you're looking to have an enjoyable night out with some light food and drinks and great conversation this is the place for you.

We shared their signature plate, the pork knuckle and it was delicious! I'm glad we shared it though cause it was a ton of food. The meat was tender and the skin was extra crispy. It's served with a delicious mustard sauce that goes well with the pork. It sits on a bed of mashed potatoes and sautéed veggies (cabbage, green beans and carrots). The beer selection is massive so it's also great for beer lovers. I would highly recommend this place to locals and tourists alike!

I actually wanted something 'lighter' but I asked for his recommendation, and of course he said the signature item that they are "famous" for. I also paired it with some whale, because I like eating protected and endangered species. The whale was the best part. Tastes like those cute little puffins, vaguely like a tender beef jerky. As for the caveman chunk of pork on a bone. Woof. I mean, it's good. The crackling is like pork rinds on steroids and the meat really did fall off the bone. The mustard sauce and the mashed potatoes were loaded with fat. However, the staff friendly and attentive. I love my meats, but this did not blow my mind. Would not go out of my way to come here, and I think the overall ratings are a bit generous.
