The owner is an extremely friendly man who works as a part time writer and letterer; part of his shop is dedicated to selling art supplies for budding comics artists. The shop also actively supports the Australian independent comics community by selling a number of locally produced titles. Friday Night Magic is a regular event here, as are Thursday night board games nights. For players and parents alike there is a small coffee service available as well as cold drinks. The coffee is also quite good. Overall the shop is open, friendly, well stocked and neat, something that's always a pleasure to see in shops that are notorious for being cluttered and dark. Nambour has an amazing little store in this place that's a delightful addition to their downtown district.

Since I have now travelled around to quite a number of towns, I am starting to discover that there…read moreare quite a few bookshops hidden away out there. This is one such bookshop. Sure, it is in a basement, but honestly, what better place for there to be a secondhand bookshop than in a basement - it just feels so at home in such a place - as long as it doesn't flood, or leak - that would be bad. Yeah, this place is pretty awesome, and has a great array of books, and the owner also loves to chat about books as well, something that I really do appreciate.

Went in with an armful of second-hand, very good condition books. While there I thought I'd get 3…read morebooks from his shelves as part of the exchange. Imagine my surprise when I had to pay HIM another $16 for the 3 books I chose (small paperbacks, 30 to 40 years old). I will never swap or shop there again and advise all others against giving your hard earned dollars and much loved books to such a blatantly greedy enterprise.
