It's been my experience, that the doctors will go above and beyond to make things as comfortable as possible for both you and your pets. If you have a pet, and you are unsure where to take them, look no further, because you have your new vet! You won't be disappointed!

The one vet with the lazy eye is probably the worst practitioner of medicine I have ever come…read moreacross. His inability to do anything other than be greedy - even if he does care for the animals, is unacceptable. He will force you into taking either no route or the most expensive one. Then if you do not go ahead with the most expensive one (the only option he provides), he will call the O.S.P.C.A. on you - and you have no form of response to those calls. So it's a good thing that they crashed & can no longer enforce things upon people who have already taken their pets to the vet to increase their livelihoods. The individual from the O.S.P.C.A who came to the house however, was a fantastic woman from Quebec. Someone who took the care of animals very seriously, but was knowledgeable that other alternatives besides the most expensive route existed. There are friends and family who have gone to this vet & spent thousands of dollars for very little gains. Tests which come back with 'trace/minute' seem to require the hundreds of dollars worth of further tests & the maximum treatments. Rather than just attempting the most likely cause based upon review of the animal's life/food. You have to do tests, tests, tests here, rather than just talking to the vet & coming to an 80% or even 70% probability of it being this, then going with that treatment.

Finding a groomer for our 2 1/2 year old MiniBernadoodle whiile away from home at our cottage…read moreduring Covid was a bit of a challenge for us. Fortunately, we discovered Groomintales and better yet, were able to get in quickly. When we arrived, the owner and her assistant were finishing up a nail clipping on a cute little pug who clearly did not have nail clipping anywhere on his list of fun things to do! We were immediately impressed with how carefully and skillfully both ladies worked to keep the pup at ease and to finish up the task. When it came time for our George Harrison, we described what we were looking for and then left our scruffy Velcro Dog, as we often refer to him - everything sticks to him - to complete our errands. When we returned hours later, we were dazzled by the sight of our new dog! Gone were the long, unkempt tangles and curls and in its place was a perfectly groomed handsome Doodle. We had left a couple of specific trimming instructions which were followed to a "T". We couldn't have been more pleased. The pricing was very reasonable which left us plenty of room for a tip, which was well earned. We will be returning again and again!

Whatever shampoo they used worked great for Dimitri sensitive skin. They took great care to trim his nails short and really didn't cut any corners grooming paws, ears, under armpits and other tricky areas. Schnauzer face and summer trim looks absolutely perfect too. Definitely going back Groomintales.

Enter Victoria Blondin. Within 2 sessions she provided a plan by which we were going to address his Separation Anxiety. For the last four months Koda and I have met with Victoria over Zoom. Victoria provided a number of exercises for me to do with Koda and after a very short period of time, Koda's fear of being alone began to fade. One of the techniques used by Victoria is to teach YOU the leader how to deal with your dog. Once Koda realized that I was always coming back to him, his abilty to relax when I was away from him began to dissipate. The techniques and actions used to retrain him were outlined by Victoria during our sessions. By following Victoria's plan Koda has become a much more happy and pleasurable companion. There is nobody else I would trust to help and train my dog othder than Victoria Blodin and her Shaggydog Pet Servic

A care plan was given and followed up on, details were worked out so that everyone was on the same page. They were a pleasure to work with! Highly recommend.

I went home and called the Kingston Regional Pet Hospital on Midland Ave open after hours and said bring him right in. After a 15 minute drive there they opened the door and took my boy right in and said they would call me. Two hours later they called me and said I could pick him up. When I arrived my groggy boy was ready to go home. Upon inspection his chest was sewn to perfection with about 2 dozen stiches, had a temporary fluid drain installed and left with a bag full of pain killers and anti-biotics and all at a price I didn't wince, squirm and argue about. One day later he is back to his wonderful self again but with very limited movement for the next month.. The Kingston Regional Pet Hospital told us to wait until Monday and to take our pet to our regular vet. We trusted the Kingston Regional Pet Hospital so we listened to them. We took our pet to a local clinic on Monday. But it turns out that our dog had an infection in her foot. Infections need to be treated right away or they grow and spread. Because the Kingston Regional Pet Hospital had told us to wait two more days before taking our dog to a vet, the infection had been given two more days to grow in our dog's body. The infection had eaten half of our dog's foot by the time she was seen on Monday by a local veterinarian. Our dog was in severe pain. Our dog is now dead. And all we had needed were some antibiotics.
