I am trying to be polite as I know there is a different pace Upstate vs the one in the city. But these are the facts: There was enough text communication between Ricardo and I to 1) get price 2) confirm pick up time and location 3) confirmation of receipt that Ricardo received my text. I should have known by the couple of questionable text that there's a possibility that things may go array. But with my California attitude I decided to let it roll off my shoulders and trust the 5 star reviews even though there was only 2. I'm an advocate for entrepreneurs so I optimistically wanted to give this service a chance. The pick up was confirmed for 4pm to be dropped off at Adirondack Trailways in Kingston; which is only 13 minutes away. 4:05 approached and this is where things really went downhill. I texted twice and then I called 5 times between 4:05 and 4:13. The 5th time is when Ricardo picked up the phone to then tell me "Oh i didn't think you wanted the ride." This blew my mind and exasperated my stress since we needed to be at the train before 4:30. Ricardo said he was on his way and that he promised me we can make the train. He calls at 4:19 and says he's here. Turns out, he was at the wrong address. From here he turned off his phone so text messages and calls never went through. We missed our bus. Ricardo is the worse. Do yourself a favor and don't call him.

The moment I did, he started screaming at me through the phone, aggressively stuttering and proclaiming that he's not a r*tard. This went on for about two minutes straight. My friend called because Uber was taking too long to return us to our air bnb in Rhinebeck from a restaurant in Kingston. The gentleman from anywhere taxi answered and we let him know that we had 6 people and we're going to Rhinebeck and he said he could take us for $40 and be there to pick us up in 15 mins. When he arrived he was a driving a vehicle that could accommodate a total of 5 people including him. We were 6 people, 7 including the driver. When we questioned him he said his mini van was not in working condition and suggested that we pile in and have two people sit in the front. We said that's not safe and decided to get in and scrunch into the back seat with 5 in the back 3-seater and one friend sat in the front. The driver asked for my friend in the passenger seat to route him using her phone, he repeatedly answered his cell phone as he was driving, and mid way through the rude told us we would actually need to pay an additional $1.75 for the toll to go over the Hudson. We said no, we wouldn't be paying the toll because we were already riding in unsafe conditions and we're not in the vehicle that we were quoted for. He laughed and told us to calm down. While on the bridge he joked that since we were actually closer to the restaurant than he thought, he should have only charged us $20.... My friend in the passenger seat answered back that yet we should only be paying $20 and he responded that he was only job king and we should learn to take a joke, he said well you can get out of the car if you want, you could jump off the bridge if you want. When we said that was an inappropriate thing to say, he said he was joking and the world is a crazy place. At this point my girlfriends and I made eye contact and agreed that we needed to just stay silent until getting home because we had no idea what this guy was capable of. We were scared for our lives in a very real way. He made a few more last.minute turns without signaling, speeding and driving recklessly before dropping us off and almost backing the car into us when we got out. I urge that no one ever call this company for a ride. It seemed that this man was taking all calls and coordinating all rides. Stay safe out there.

However, if she took the time to read the other reviews which were along a similar vein to what I wrote. Further most Julie "complimented" my review and reported it to yelp to be removed. Her compliment read as follows and I quote: "Just J. left a compliment for your review of Grab a Cab 'I am sorry for the confusion, however, NONE of my drivers recognize you nor have heard a complaint, further more our drivers are equipped with in car credit card runners, i am not sure who you mean to review but im pretty sure it wasn't us! Please call our office and ask for Julie, I would be more than happy to resolve this issue for you if in fact it is us!'" To add insult to injury she then left a 5 start review in her own company's page. Finally for clarification: 1. the cab that picked me up both times was a white car with "Grab A Cab" painted in yellow in the side 2. Like I said in my review I had to pay OVER THE PHONE both times I unfortunately had to use this company 3. I reviewed multiple cab companies that week because I had to suffer through several bad experiences for my business trip and people from out of town need to know what they are going to experience.
