There's even a "Kingsbury Pride" peach that was developed there that is the perfect peach! For those that love the hard to find Asian pears Kingsbury's offered several varieties that are all delicious. A bit underwhelming in my experience. I came here when it was busy and they were trying to push people along. I was trying to ask if there was a chance to go out and pick some fruits, but just never got the chance to get anyone to talk to. The produce is fresh. Not a fantastic scenery. If you do come here, just know that it is really to come here for produce. I wasn't too impressed with what they had that weekend and I kept checking the website off and on too. I am still unsure if they have the ability to pick your own because I just did not see anyone go towards the trees. That was the only reason why I came to the orchards was to go picking fruits on my own, but just left when I realized that it seemed to be a lost cause to grab someone's attention. I did not feel like I was taken care of as they were just trying to get my to buy something quick and have me leave quickly. I said I'm not asking for a refund, but I thought you might like to know when you start to replant your fields that this is one of the one of your Better varieties. Hope my experience and findings about this farm owner whose dishonesty and super rude behavior could help you to avoid this place and thus have made it impossible to trust their products for our health. 1. Dishonest Practices: The owner is placing rotten fruits at the bottom of the boxes, hiding them under the good ones. This deceitful is not only unethical but also compromises the health benefits. 2. Questionable Quality: They prioritize quantity over quality, deceiving customers to buy subpar/rotten products. This raises serious trustworthy concerns about their farming and produce processes. (For example, their peaches tasted off compared with those from other farmers in the area- bought last week, just can't trust their produce based on their manners). 3. Unbelievable RUDE Behavior: When I brought up the issue of finding rotten fruits at the bottoms of several boxes peaches I bought last week, the owner was incredibly RUDE. Instead of addressing the problem, she yelled out loud: " Stop, I don't believe it, people still buy". Oh my god, we were shocked by her manners. We realized immediately this farm owners are not communicating with languages. To leave right away is the best solution!!! This attitude to customers is NOT acceptable in the anywhere, and further erodes any trust in their business. Come on , there are many farms around offer better tasting fruits, why come here to get insults. Everyone deserves to be treated with respect as a customer! Note: I read through reviews about Kingsbury's Orchard at other sites too, it's extremely disturbing to find out the owner even has a pattern to bully children, which crossed a serious line. One mom said the owner yelled to her two young daughters and they cried all the way, another one said the owner grabbed the nine year old boy' arm away rudely because he was curious about certain fruit... This was not worth a Saturday trip - busy as people got out of the house after 2 days of rain - but no variety here and crowded. One person was doing checkout using a hand held calculator-card reader. She entered my purchase as $245.50 (should have been 24.50). Then she started waiting on the customer behind me before I had picked up my bag from the table to leave, I happened to look at my receipt because she had given me two. Yes, I was surprised and angry that she didn't mention what had happened. I waited so I could catch her attention and questioned the $245. 'Oh, she said - I hit an extra zero so I refunded it', with the attitude that it happend all the time. She took $ from my account with no care and now it can take up to 10 days for that $ to be available to me again, No- I won't be going back. read more

My roommate and I came here thinking that it would be a pick-your-own orchard, but it turns out we need to do more research first... Luckily the owner was super nice about it and graciously redirected us to Homestead Farm not too far away. After getting our fill of apple picking, we ended up coming back here for the Honeycrisp apples (which Homestead didn't have). The owner recognized us and welcomed us back! We spent some time sampling the various apples they had and looking at the other products they had (honey, jams, cider). Their Candycrisp apple was a new find for us and it was soooo delicious! But I had been set on Honeycrisp apples for weeks, so I bought a small basket as well as the gallon of Honeycrisp apple cider. I didn't even have room for it in my fridge but it was seriously worth every penny LOL. They also had some cows and a goat at the front of the farm, and this super cute dog with baby blue eyes. I just wish we could've picked some Honeycrisp here, but definitely come and support this amazing family owned business! read more

We called in a week in advance inquiring about cherry picking, and the answer was it will be ready in a week. So we went and to our surprise, we can't pick our own cherry. Instead, our only option was to buy it at $8.00 per 1.5lb. No tasting allowed, no return allowed. It wasn't good at all compared to Costco or any other supermarket cherries. Be protective of your kids around people like this grey hair lady. This is our first and last visit to this farm, we came here for peaches, my son is 9 years old, he was excited on a farm and he touched, gently touched the displayed nectarines, this elderly lady walked to him directly and grabed his arm said in a very mean tune, don't touch the nectrine please! Then She walked away. Left my son stood there shocked and terrified. I felt bad, bought that box of nectrine that my son touched, and went up to this lady said politely that sorry, this is my son's first time to a peach farm and he didnt know he shouldn't touch the nectrine. She replied in a very rude tune, you should have told him then. I said also didnt know that and there was no sign. She replied it's your problem then. I told her directly that I did not appreciate the tune she had. Here the conversation got really disturbing. She laughed to my face and said : do I care? I don't care if you like my tune or not. I was shocked, said it doesn't matter you care or not, i still want to tell you it's not appropriate to talk to another person like that especially to a kid. She Then said, you should leave or I will call the police. I told her, please do call the police, I want to see how the police handle this. Then She told me ' get out! I asked to talk to the owner of the farm which is her husband I believe, the guys said sorry this happened, your message is delivered and what else you want me to see. I told him that I will file a complaint about what happened and he said you riased your voice. Seriously? After what we have been treated there, and he blaming me for raising my voice? Two days ago, I purchased peaches at this orchard and, upon returning home and cutting into the peach, the texture was 'mushy' and the flavor less than satisfactory. Unlike most orchards, there is no opportunity to sample the produce before buying, so the buyer is really buying blindly. With sales slip in hand, I returned to the orchard with the remaining peaches and asked for a refund From the gruff sales lady who directed me to the owner. "These look fine to me. We go to Kingsbury orchards every fall to get Pink Lady apples. They have a wide variety of apples, also pears, pumpkins, and jams. Everyone working at the orchard is very helpful and pleasant. The apples are great and we love the seeing the farm animals there. read more

My daughter and I came here today to purchase some fresh peaches. We had hoped to be able to pick some but saw ahead of time (on their website) that picking was only available on Saturday and Sunday. The gentleman who helped us was very warm and gave us information about all the different varieties. We purchased white peaches and he kindly offered us a donut peach to try at no cost. He couldn't have been any nicer and I wish I got his name. The lady who checked us out was also very nice. We will plan to return in the fall for apples. read more

She only gave short, curt answers to my friend's reasonable questions about the peaches and apples sold. I have shopped at Kingsbury Orchard for several years and spent usually over $60 a trip. This week I purchased 2 LASRGE boxes of peaches costing $28 dollars each because I was going to can drunken peaches for gifts. When I got home I tried the first brand of peaches and was shocked that they were flavorless and mushy/mealy. I went today to buy a $28 box of Honey Crisp apples and asked the older lady if she had any feedback on the peaches she on sale at the beginning of the week. She said no and I said that my experience was that they were tasteless and mushy/mealy. Having managed many businesses, I always appreciated feedback. I had been a customer of this farm for many years. Today I made my last trip. While I support our local farm communities, I do not like being told not to touch the produce. I as a consumer would like to know what I am purchasing, not sight unseen. I was accosted by some woman who never acknowledged me until she so rudely told me not to touch the peaches. I was unable to see the ones on the bottom so I wanted to be sure they weren't rotten. I had rotten ones the last time I was there, so paying way more than I would at the local markets, I need to know that I wasn't buying soft, over-ripe peaches. This woman was rude, nasty and when she handed me back my credit card, she never said "thank you". I made a point of saying "you're welcome" twice, but she was still rude and obnoxious. I have made mention of this location on my facebook page as well. You will not see me again. I'd give a zero rating, but that is not an option. I have been coming here since I was a child and now bringing my kids here. It's the only place I eat apples from. It has made me an apple snob . Sometimes they can be a little grumpy (per other reviews( but they are so wonderful my kids and always helpful in talking about the kinds of apples and giving samples. I bought apples at Kingsbury Farm every year but I found out by last year, the Apples quality are not good, this farm put the apples on the top inside the big box are good but following the apples were damaged. This is a wonderful place for fresh apples peaches and cider. We drive from Kent Island to buy here. Love the variety of fruit and make special trips just to buy from Kingsbury's. Always friendly people to wait on us and they never fail to carry the bags to our car. If you have any questions they gladly answer and offer free samples if you want them. We also buy seconds, if they have them and find many uses for them. We much prefer to buy here than the supermarket fruit. One time we came in the fall and they were closed for business, but one of the owners was getting ready to drive off and saw us, stopped and after finding out how far we had driven, got apples from storage and sold us cider also. Can't beat Kingsbury's orchards. We love them. read more

just want to share the weird rule about this farm: I purchased a box of peaches from this farm at the beginning of August. After getting back home, I found two rotten peaches at the bottom of the box. Although two peaches were rotten and thrown away, I think the other peaches still tasted fine. So in the past weekend when I passed by this farm, I saw the pears which I like. Due to the experience of rotten peaches, I picked the pears wanting to make sure the box I picked does not have any rotten fruit. The old lady came very close to us starting to yell: stop touching the product. I was shocked and explained to her that I was just looking to make sure there is no rotten fruit. She continued to yell at us. when I reminded her this is not the right attitude to treat the customer, she yelled "I don't want your business". I was so frustrated and did not buy anything in the end. so just remind everyone: if you don't care the rude attitude and you definitely want to buy their product, you should not touch the product. You are only allowed to pay and leave. for me, this is the last trip to this farm. read more

My family has frequented this orchard for years. We have NEVER experienced anything negative both from staff and in terms of their fresh + delicious fruits. There has NEVER been any issues with discrimination as both a multiracial, minorities with foreign roots. I have witnessed people not watching over their minor children and then the parents being extremely difficult when asked to keep them close. The stand store is not huge despite being stocked with lots of fresh goodies! The orchard is lush and it is wonderful to discover with both old and young loved ones. I can attest to only positive experiences. Our relatives, neighbors and friends also frequent this local treasure. Wishing everyone positive experiences both as a buyer and to the farmer - owners too. Please come on out and judge from your own experience. It is a nice orchard with cows and a donkey. It is a great destination for a family or friends gathering. We make it an annual fall event with our friends and family. When the kids were little we used to buy pumpkins there too, now that they are in college they are hooked on the Fuji apples so we still go. We have been going there for over 20 years. Their Fuji apples are excellent, compared to other orchards. We buy in October and it lasts through February. Ask the staff about how to store it. I recommend the candy crisp apples and Asian pears and apple cider. You can ask them for apple samples, for sweetness or tartness. The staff is very nice, they help you carry to your car. I highly recommend this orchard! I got to meet their dog too. That was a bonus! read more

We went here with my aunt and uncle, a 45 minute drive, as it's their favorite peach orchard. The staff were incredibly friendly to us. They explained the two honey producers selling honey there as well. ALL of the fruit (apples and peaches) in the boxes I got was delicious and beautiful. I watched as they sorted the fruit coming back from the orchard, and anything with blemishes were fed to the cows and donkeys. Happy livestock! This orchard has the best prices in the area for peaches in the summer and apples in the fall. However, I am disappointed in the quality of the fruit. They put the best looking fruits on the top of the box and put the less fresh fruit in the bottom of the box. It would be okay if this happened once maybe twice but this happened several times. read more

I love love love the peaches and apples here. Kingsbury has lower prices compared to the other nearby orchard, but their selection isn't as large. They have free samples of two different types of apples when you check out. They were also giving out samples of their cider today too. Who doesn't love free samples?! I bought a small thing of cherry tomatoes and noticed one of them was bruised. The worker quickly replaced it with a few good ones and told me try one on the spot to see how sweet they are. They also helped us with our large bag of apples to the car -- excellent service. I heard how there was one incident a customer came in with a small knife and started eating the fruit on the spot without paying. And others started digging around the baskets and switching out the fruits. This might explain why the workers may be on edge if they see customers doing anything remotely similar. read more

I have been here several times to purchase the apples and I have been happy for their produce. However, today I am quite disappointed by them. I went to buy some apples and I was not sure of the sign for 6 feet distances. And I stood right next to another customers by 6 feet. The owner pointed finger on me to stand behind the customer without saying a word to me, which was a bit humiliating. I just followed her finger instruction and waited. I ordered small portion of apple and she grabbed one up in front. When I asked her if I could choose the other one behind , she grabbed that one and turned back and made face to other coworkers or the owners of this orchard showing that I am too much. She didnt even say hi or bye to me. And I feel insulted. I felt like she tried to show me that I dont belong there. Great products. Friendly people. I especially love the cows on the property. I have seen the owner take a whole truckload of apples to the cows. When they see him coming from a distance they start to run ecitedly toward the truck, like one of the pets. They also have a donkey and black goat on the property too. read more
