I decided to try a pawnshop because all the jewelry stores in town were charging what I felt was a gouging price to resize my wedding ring. I'm so happy I took a chance because I received excellent service! I highly recommend working with Heidi's guy (I can't remember his name) because he will adjust the ring while you wait making it a perfect fit (instead of hoping the metal ring sizer will be accurate). This review is coming from two of us who have done business with King's for several years. I have always found the staff to be so helpful and friendly and always professional. But when my bf returned from work after being off for 3 weeks he had to pawn his things to keep food on the table and to keep our bills paid. Finally returning to work he was able to start paying back his loans but what he said truly defines this business, he said to me " I truly don't know what we would have done if it hadn't been for King's Pawn." that is the truth. He has enjoyed the staff the minute he enters the store they greet him with a smile and are always helpful and offer him a fair amount for his items as well as items he has purchased throughout the years. Went in to sell a brand new 10th Gen iPad that is unopened, never used in any way brand new off the shelf. Apple sells this today for $487 including tax. I was offered $130 which is just such a lowball offer. I can see $250 at the very lowest but in reality it's not hard to sell on eBay for almost the full price, I just needed the money sooner. This pawn shop doesn't seem to have it's priorities straight and half of the shop is filled with power tools that are overpriced and used. Who is going to buy these? Probably no one. You can easily find this sort of thing at the Goodwill or even Home Depot for less in some cases. I was told they couldn't even do a trade in for my item. Saw an ad for a camera lens and called to make sure it was in stock as suggested. They said yes and even offered to hold the item for me. Made the drive out the next day only to be told the item sold a few days ago on eBay. They showed me a different lens but it was starting to feel like a bait and switch at that point. If it was an honest mistake, then either the staff needs some training or the inventory system needs an update. They were however friendly as advertised. read more

Even gave me more than I expected for the guitar. Unlike Guitar Center, who now suck, as far as buying back gear, I was treated kindly, and with respect. The guys there were approachable, friendly and professional. It turns out I didn't need to be intimidated by the experience and I walked away with a fair amount of cash for jewelry I don't wear anyway. My silver wasn't up to their standard but I'm sure I can donate it to a local thrift shop. My first time in a "pawn shop". We came to King's because we had some old jewelry and gold to sell and our previous experience with a coin/gold guy was not great. The reviews on King's and the proximity helped us decide to give them a try. I called all the local places prior to going into town and King's offered the best price on gold. When we got there, all was exactly as presented when we called. But the best part of the experience was Jose, the young man who worked with us. He was careful and meticulous. He answered all of our questions. He was in no hurry and happy to go into more detail at any time. When he was done, we knew that the integrity of the shop, as reflected by Jose, was good. Just went to Kings pawn shop to purchase a Darth maul light Saber. I was greeted at the door and was helped to the product. They were very polite and fair. The light saber was exactly what they described. He gave me two days after purchase to make sure everything was good to go. My son couldn't wait to try and make sure everything worked.
