Highly recommend Kingpin and Adam Maclam. I needed the locks on my business changed due to a security issue and Kingpin was the only locksmith of the four I called who offered same day service. Adam showed up on time, did an excellent job very efficiently and with minimal disruption to my business. Within an hour we had two locks changed, new keys for the guys in the shop, and peace of mind that our security threat was nullified. Hands down the best! I had a moment and locked my rental car keys in the trunk. I called several places closer to Elkton, VA and had ZERO luck getting anyone to come and help me. NOT KINGPIN LOCKSMITH! He came all the way from Stauton without hesitation! Very easy to communicate with and prices are comparable (if not better) than competitors. I hope no one locks themselves out, but in the event you do, be sure to give these guys a call. read more

History

Established in 2018.

I've completed a professional locksmith course training as well as all training that's required by the state of Va. To provide my locksmith services. I officially opened this business in September of 2018. It is blossoming into something great. I've got a 5 star rating on Google. Went in with a Toyota key I received from an Amazon seller. James was the one who came out and he was friendly, polite and informative. He thought it was going to take a long time so my girlfriend and I went to dinner. During dinner James texted me that he was finished. Luckily we had already made payment arrangements. FYI: there's a 5% fee for using a card so try to have cash! I would use this locksmith again if I ever needed one especially James! I contacted Miller Plumbing Solutions through Angi to get a quote for installing an outdoor spigot on my new home. Before reaching out, I had researched typical costs and found most estimates in the $500-$800 range. When Miller Plumbing came out, they told me the job would be straightforward due to easy basement access and the location of the existing plumbing. They even mentioned they could drill through wood instead of concrete to help keep costs down. Despite describing it as an easy job, their quote came in at nearly $1,500. After I explained that was well beyond my budget, they removed some items and lowered the estimate to around $900, but said they couldn't go any lower. I was also told that while a handyman might be cheaper, I wouldn't find a licensed and insured plumber who could do the work for less. I declined the estimate and later mentioned it to a neighbor, who recommended Cory Claytor of Claytor Plumbing. Cory came by, looked at the project, and immediately told me the previous quote was outrageous. He completed the installation in just over an hour, drilled through the concrete rather than the wood to avoid damaging my siding, and charged just under $500. He is fully licensed and insured. Cory and his daughter, who assisted with the job, were professional, friendly, knowledgeable, and fair. The quality of the work was excellent, and the price was exactly what I would expect for a straightforward installation. Based on my experience, I felt that Miller Plumbing Solutions was attempting to charge far more than was reasonable for this project. On the other hand, Claytor Plumbing delivered outstanding service, quality workmanship, and honest pricing. If you're looking for a plumber who treats customers fairly, I highly recommend Cory Claytor and Claytor Plumbing.

Their creativity helps you save money without cutting meaningful corners, and they also are willing to go above and beyond to make sure the work happens within your schedule. Purchased house in Verona needed to leave quickly, Handed keys to Jason, listed my requests and left. Jason notified me of what he had done so I paid him. I returned a couple months later and Wow all was exactly as I had requested except better than what I expected. All locks were good quality and installed properly. I was delighted to be able to trust someone to do what I had asked and to pass my keys along to my cousin living in the area. My mistake was not to share my experience right away for all to know what wonderful service was given by Jason. I put off writing the review until I locked myself out of the house months later and after making an after hours call, Jason arrived. The bolt on my front door failed in a locked position. I could not open the door and out-of-town guests were due to arrive in the evening. I called KingPin Locksmith and 90 minutes later Adam Maclam arrived at my home. A new bolt was installed quickly and all was well. Of particular note, not only the was work done swiftly and well, but the cost was much less than I than I expected. I called them at around 7:30pm on a Thursday when I accidentally locked myself out of my house. They immediately were sending over a technician to assist me even though it was late in the evening. I eventually managed to find a key before they arrived, but I would 100% recommend them as their customer service was impeccable and their willingness to assist me on such short notice at night was awesome. read more

Keys got locked in the car and called them for help. They were at my car in less than 15 minutes and was in the car in less than 5. The king of locks! Jason jimmied into the trunk through middle rear seat and blindly pulled emergency lever to release keys that had been locked in the trunk and unobtainable by AAA and the car dealership. Friendly, fast, reliable. Highly recommend. read more
