I see some recent mixed reviews and think I know why, as I recently had a disappointing experience…read more I went twice in the past ~month. Kota and his coworkers helped and walked through all the details and was a great help. The second visit made me decide to drop GC. One of the complaints concerned military discount. Heather not only got it fixed but did the same for our previous trip. I hadn't mentioned it as I didn't know there was one, so it was all her doing the right thing. The rest of the concerns I'll just address by making sure Kota is there before I make the drive. Customer service has eroded to a large degree in recent years. Heather and Kota made a huge difference. Some people are helpful and care about their jobs. I am new to some instruments and it helps to have insightful input from those who play. Without customer service, I could get just the products online. If I can do this without help, I'd save myself the drive. As of this weekend, I am trying to figure out how to fit lessons in my schedule. If you had a negative experience, try again. It may help to give a second chance sometimes, so you don't throw the baby out with the bathwater. ;-)

Everyone that works in there has no clue on guitars bass and drums…read more No matter what base or guitar I picked up to play it seemed like everything was set up out of whack. How are you supposed to sell instruments when the instruments are not set up properly. I spoke to their guitar attack, and this guy had not a single clue about what I was talking about intonation adjusting Bridges. These are the basic things that you need to know when you work at a guitar store, I was appalled by this. What they need to do is hire people who have true knowledge of instruments instead of a bunch of people and they're just messing with their phones when there's customers that need help I'll never buy nothing from the store I would rate it a zero If you want your guitar set up in properly, take it there

The Little Shop of Music - Tons of vinyl here

Scott has an incredible assortment of records, CDs and guitars (and amps). The unique building…read morehouses a listening room featuring a small portion of his own record collection. He has local music in another room. Two music rooms with guitars (acoustic, electric and bass). Mostly higher level stock but some items under $500. While my husband looked for records I was able to play several of the guitars. Scott gives you a tour when you come in the door. He is definitely an audiophile and a pleasure to chat with. Highly recommend!

While in the area this spot came up in my search for a record store in Shreveport, LA and when I…read moreshowed up and was able to take my time in browsing I was super happy this record shop popped up in my search. First of all this place is HUGE and there is something for every body here no matter what your music taste is. This shop has all sorts of music mediums as well that range from cassettes and vinyl to guitars and amps as well. Be sure to get a lay of the land from the owner so you have an idea of where you want to start your digging and browsing. I was glad I asked as there are so many nooks and crannies for you to get lost in. I was here primarily for vinyl so I ended up spending almost 2 hours here finding some incredible albums that were all fairly priced. Scott (the owner) has it all here in his curation of music from used/open vinyl to even the newest Record Store Day finds. Don't be afraid to take the records out and do some inspecting before you decide if you want to take the album home with you. I managed to miss a few things on what I purchased but only because I was pressed for time. Definitely make sure you inquire about what time they close as they close pretty early (6pm). The artwork and the amount of inventory Scott has here is remarkable. There is a story about every single piece of artwork and live performance posters he has up around the store. I was amazed at the quality of each artwork and piece. I had a great time walking around, browsing, and coming home with 7 albums to add to my vinyl collection. Parking is a little odd as there seems to be about a handful of spots in the front of the shop but street parking might be an option if it is busy here.
