I used Yelp to find a car wash place and drove over to Water Works to discover that it was a detailing shop and I had to make an appointment for a day or two in advance. I asked the owner if he could recommend a place nearby that I could go to right away explaining we had just come from the funeral service at St. Francis. He told me to nose our car into the packed garage and he would clean off the windshield and front of our SUV with his high power spray hose and solvent spray. That he did and then he had one of his employees come over to help wipe down the car. When they were done I was going to give him 20 bucks thinking that was fair recompense. He turned down the offer saying that due to Covid and family illnesses he had lost a number of his relatives over the past two years and that he understood what we were going through. He told us we didn't have to pay! I thanked him gratefully and we drove way with a clean windshield and front end completely impressed by the owner's humanity and generosity!

They proceed to tell me no waxing, no buffing, under the tires still mud, I could go on and on. They are the best and fixed my tires and wheel hubs, got all the dirt from under truck off and couldn't believe it came from a detail shop. Damaged hood Going through the car wash I didn't notice any…read moreproblem, but when I got home a notice some scratches on my hood. The scratches appeared to be from the rotation brush that apparently bounced off the hood some way. I reported the damage and the manager was more in the defensive mood than to try to find out what happened. He said he had pictures of me interring and leaving the car wash with no damage, but there was damage when I got home. The only pictures the manager showered me was a video where you couldn't tell the color or make of the car, let alone if there was any damage.

I went out of my way to have them fix a small chip in my RV windshield even after my insurance…read morerecommended another company. I was not warned of any potential for breakage prior to the attempted repair. The individual who attempted the repair called after the fact and advised me that the windshield cracked while he was attempting the repair. He told me that he was going to check into getting a new windshield. Two days later they called and advised me that a new windshield would be almost $1600. Glass Doctor (also known as Glass One) assumed no responsibility for making the situation worse. If they would have warned my about the "high stress area" and potential for breakage prior to the repair I wouldn't have let them work on it in the first place. I only wanted to minimize the risk of cracking, hence the initial repair request. I consider myself a reasonable person and attempted to negotiate a more palatable solution but they only were willing to take off $60 because that was the cost of the original chip repair! My situation may not be the norm, but based on my experience I believe Glass Doctor does not use good business practices and customers should be very cautious. I will update if the situation changes, but for now there is no way that I can recommend using this company.
