I had been coming here for years with my boy, my angel Sheya. He eventually passed away from end-stage kidney disease, and we had to say goodbye to him here. The doctors were so respectful and gave us all the time we needed. They even sent us a heartfelt card afterwards, which meant so much. At first, I thought they had only given us a simple paper box for his ashes. About a month later, when I opened it after ordering an urn, I discovered that there was already a beautiful wooden urn inside. That was such a kind and touching gesture, and I want to thank them for it. Sheya was such a sweet cat, and while it was heartbreaking to let him go, I'm truly grateful that it was at this clinic, surrounded by such compassionate care.

In that time there have been emergencies, chronic illnesses, and sibling drama between pets. They helped with it all. They are a wonderful team, and all three doctors provide exceptional care. The vet techs need to be mentioned too, though. They are thoughtful, caring, supportive and the most trustworthy group of people I can imagine caring for my non-human charges. If you are looking for a compassionate and caring team to assist your fur babies, this is the team.

Logically, get a male neutered vs. getting a female spayed will cost less. Correct?…read more Well, any reasonable person would think so. Not this clinic. I spayed my girl cat in 2007, at a vet clinic near Bloorcourt village. A much more invasive procedure comes with the price tag. My tip money for two weeks went to the $250 dollar vet bill for second shots and spaying. This is normal, anaesthesia, cutting in, maneuvering a small feline body to do an ovariohysterectomy = money! I took my baby boy cat to the Davenport Rd Vet Clinic in 2010. I asked for a quote for the neutering, as I realized the prices may be high (considering the first consultation cost $170 unexpected dollars). What was the quote? $500. CRAZY! Do not go here. The care and customer service do not equate to that kind of bill, I don't care how much you love your pet. The prices are probably high due to location. Annex, Forest Hill, Yorkville, in the clinic's backyard. Unfortunately, I am not a doctor making 6 digits. I love my guys, but I found a nicer vet, for a much more reasonable price, in the exact same area.

Myself, my partner and our dog are so grateful for all the staff at this clinic. They have gone above and beyond any expectations you could ever ask for at a vets. I drop my girl, Norie, off there most Fridays to have a medicated bath. Stacy and another vet tech, who's name excapes me at the moment, are always very flexible. It makes me feel so much better leaving Norie with people that are fond of her and her just as equally excited to spend time with. Norie loves her time at DRAH and not only my family but also our friends families think you should try them out! Thanks for everything Davenport Road Animal Hospital, see you next Friday.

They've changed their membership price to $49 which includes 24/7 virtual care which can be extremely useful. However, I was not notified of this change. I was expecting my annual check up to be included and found out it was an additional $129. That's a significant increase and even more so when there was no email to explain the changeover. A little sus to be honest. In this case, I was able to cancel my appointment without penalty. I've paid my annual fee so I'll have access to virtual care. However, I do not plan on renewing nor will I (my dog) be returning as a patient I know Juno prides themselves when it comes to price transparency. Unfortunately, this did not happen with the membership charges. I'll still give them 3 stars for the ease of transferring medical records, the non-judgmental conversations, and the friendly staff.

I got a free tote bag of goodies when I became a member (149/year per pet). Includes a free wellness exam per year and 24/7 support on their app on any health questions. I met with Dr. Garrett and he and our vet tech was extremely friendly and gentle. Ethical, didn't push additional services or products that we didn't need. Made savings suggestions and helped with some challenges I had with feeding two different aged cats I'd highly recommend them!

(Disclosure: I currently volunteer with ACR as a foster parent and communications volunteer.)…read more I have adopted two cats from ACR - the first was several years ago to be a companion for my other young cat. I had initially inquired about a differnt cat but after chatting with me about what I was looking for, the adoption facilitator suggested I set up a meeting with Cookie. I spent about 1 1/2 hours at the foster home trying to get a good look at him - he was very shy - I appreciated the 24 hour "think it over" time - and decided from chatting with his foster mom that he would make a good buddy for my cat. I had time to build a relationship with him. Cookie was quite shy when he came but within months he was my companion too. The second cat is a foster-fail. Shadow has been with me for more than a year and had had no contact with people. She would normally have been TNRed but there was no place to return her to. Shadow is still quite skittish and sometimes still even hisses at me but will come right up on the bed in the morning and enjoy cheek rubs and goes crazy playing with Da Bird. She is also best friends with Cookie and he washes her head. ACR fosters have to go through the same process as everyone else so I set up my phone call. Both times, the experience was a good one. The volunteers are honest about the nature of the cat and you know what you are getting. They are also available if additional "settling-in" help is needed. And nothing beats watching these cats, who have come from difficult and traumatic situations, gradually relax and learn to trust (again). Adoption is a life-long commitment, after all.

No amount of praise I write for ACR could be enough. I found my baby Fiona through their rescue…read moreagency and the entire adoption process was seamless. I learnt so much about Fiona's quirks and habits through her foster mom. When we decide to adopt another Cat, it will surely be through ACR.

tl; dr I've been to several vets over 25+ years of living all over Toronto with various pets…read more Bickford Park is hands down the best I've been to and I will not be going elsewhere! From the front desk staff, to the cleanliness, to the speed and efficiency of all staff, to - most importantly - the knowledge, competency and kindness of the doctors, it's everything I want in a vet. My elderly cat has a few health complications. Recently, some new symptoms cropped up that were very concerning to me. My regular vet was away so I turned to Bickford Park. Dr. Asha Hoffland took my concerns seriously, listened compassionately, took in my cat's entire health history, and then discussed in detail all my options for testing to get a diagnosis. It was a tricky diagnosis, involving a few steps of testing, but I felt zero pressure. We went at the pace I was comfortable with so I could make informed decisions at each step. Dr Asha spoke with specialists and colleagues outside of her practice about my cat's case, as the diagnosis is a bit rare, to ensure he was getting the best care (No additional charge to me). She helped me figure out the best care for him at home, and I'm very happy that the symptoms resolved and he's doing better. These people know what they are doing and they care. The follow up calls and emails from the Dr and clinic staff also make that very clear. Since then, I had to take him back for another issue and we received the same excellent care, this time from a different doctor, Dr. Helen Foster. I'm a healthcare professional and I research issues and read studies on animal care. I've sometimes gone to vets and felt like they were working off old knowledge, or that I had to teach them about diabetic care for cats (proper food, insulin, etc.). Not so at Bickford Park. We were clearly on the same page and I felt I could trust them implicitly, which is a huge relief to me. I know this review is epic. Most of you won't read this, haha. But if you do, know that you can trust your pet's health with these folks.

I sent this veterinary clinic feedback about a vet telling me that my cat does not have an eye…read moreinfection, and it turned out he did, in fact, need antibiotics after getting a 2nd opinion at another vet. They responded telling me it was in everyone's best interest if I went to another vet in the future, without acknowledging the mistake in care, or any kind of reflection or peer review process. Their response is why people are cowards hiding behind Google reviews - I reached out to them directly and they were defensive and dismissive.
