A1 Traditional Spicy Beef Noodle Soup

Fresh noodles and delicious with the spicy flavoring. Pretty much what you'd expect from a Chinese restaurant in terms of everything else. Should be more popular than it is. Dinner * A1 Traditional Beef Noodle Soup (Excellent)

Coming from the summer heat to the winter, I immediately started looking for noodles! This place hit the spot. Pricing was perfect! You can see your noodles made in front of you! The service was very fast and they were very professional. I had their standard noodle and it hit the spot. The flavor. The heat. The chewiness from the noodles. The dining area was very open and you can see the kitchen and the noodle prep. The tables have sauces seasoning. The silverware is conveniently available next to the tables. I'd definitely come back.

My first meal in Auckland! It was a rainy day and I was craving some warm soup so we decided to stop by. The place was fairly clean and the menu was simple, making it easy to choose from. I got the A2- Braised Beef Noodle Soup and it hit the spot! You can choose the thickness of the noodle you want and they make it fresh right in front of you. The broth is definitely on the heavier side but very rich and delicious. The portions are quite large and filling. Everything is self-serve and is quite nice for groups!

You can expect delicious hand pulled noodles with plenty of other options like Pan fried noodles and fried rice. We ordered the beef braise and the traditional beef soup. Everything has was super delicious, quick and extra hot (temp). Watching them make the hand pulled noodles is always entertaining. The establishment is clean and the service is exceptional.

Very good homemade noodles. We enjoyed lunch from King Made Noodles. Reviews were good so we decided to give it a try. Prices are very reasonable with a small surcharge for using a credit card. The portions are huge, we could have easily shared the pork noodles. Sauce is a little salty so water is needed.

Wow so fantastic and authentic northern Chinese noodles. I had the number one beef noodle soup on a cold winter night. To say that it was restorative would be an understatement. To say that it was delicious would also be an understatement. The noodles are made and stretched and pulled before your eyes. I haven't seen this outside mainland China ever. Go! Soups on!

Woah - after all the Asian food I've ever consumed, I must admit that I was impressed by the quality of this spot. We stopped in for lunch and shared a 5 piece dumpling plate (B2) and a traditional beef noodle soup soon with spicy chilli paste (A1). Surprisingly the portions were large, the dumplings were moist and savory, and the soup was extra fresh as you could see the cook hand pulling large batches of noodles every couple of minutes. You order at the counter, pay for your meal, take a number, then your meal is shortly after delivered to you to enjoy the tastes of northwestern China.

Wow simply watching them make the art of hand pulled noodles in front of you is simply amazing. The chefs behind the glass are truly great at what they do. We tried A1 which is hand pulled noodles w/ slow cooked beef belly and white radish, and B2 which is their pork/vegetable buns. While their menu is relatively simple consisting of different noodle dishes and sides, they have really perfected what they do offer. You order at the counter and are given a number to bring to your table. The food comes out piping hot and the noodles were literally made just minutes before you eat it. The broth is quite rich and you can tell it's made from simmering beef bones for hours. Extra chili sauce is available at your table if you like things extra spicy. Then the buns are literally pillows filled with meaty goodness. I can't express how good of a meal this was, especially for the price. I would HIGHLY recommend this place to everyone visiting Auckland!

Absolutely no regrets in choosing this place for dinner. The food was delicious, the noodles fantastic, and the atmosphere relaxed. It was really cool getting to see them make the noodles too.

At first, we…read morewere hesitant about eating at a food court as we imagined it would be like Taco Bell, Panda Express, Burger King, etc. But it turned out to be more like a modern food hall. It's inside a commercial building with over ten vendors offering a nice mix of cuisines: Vietnamese, Malaysian, Chinese, Mediterranean, and Korean, plus a few places for juice, açaí, and matcha drinks. We decided to try Eden Noodle, mainly because it had the longest line--which usually says something about how popular (and hopefully good) the food is. We ordered the pork ribs with rice noodles and the wontons in chili oil. We chose mild, but it was still quite spicy, so next time we'll definitely go for not spicy. The ordering process was super easy. You go to one of the three kiosks, grab a pager with a number, enter your order, pay, and wait for the buzzer to go off when your food's ready--it took about 15 minutes for ours. There's plenty of seating--tables, chairs, and benches--and you often end up sharing a table with strangers. That might feel unusual for Americans, but it actually reminded me of Hong Kong, where space is limited and communal dining is the norm. Overall, portion sizes were decent for the price, and the flavors were good--just a bit spicier than expected for "mild."

Honestly, for this kind of noodle place, always try the basic and best one. Tonkotsu is not a bad choice. Nice soup, slow cooked pork slice, bamboo shoots and fresh spinach for a taste bonus. What's more, you can choose fried dumplings, they call Gyoza and some pork stew for small bites. They are both quite authentic. Just wish they could turn these seats a bit more tidy, then it would be closer to my Ramen Place expectation.

Having just come back from Chengdu and the flavours of their particular cuisine still " fresh " in my taste buds it was too much to walk past this place. Had to go in and try it out and see how it rates against the " real thing ". And we were not disappointed. Though a small place it felt welcoming as were the staff, and they have done the interior decor quite nicely too. Service was really good with the orders once taken , the food would come out quite quickly. We ended up ordering the steamed beef, of which I could have ate a lot more so delicious it was. Then came the steamed pork ribs which although small were as tasty as the last dish. The bigger dish of Loongs Special Beef Noodles ( I believe a " limited " edition so to speak? ) came next. Noodles and meatballs and other ingredients combined to make it yet another delicious dish. These guys were sure on their " A " game regarding everything thus far. We also ordered the steamed egg with pork mince. Enough said about the other dishes thus far....well this was well and truly on a par with them. Well I think I've said enough . I can totally recommend here . The service is great, as is the food and it is a nice atmosphere to sit in. Oh, and almost forgot to say that the price is not too bad either. Try it out!!!

It's not brilliant because I guess you only get that in Japan I suppose but compared to Mentatz (on High Street) and Tanpopo (Anazc Ave) it's good. It's also famously nestled between a few well known Symonds St eateries namely Ginas which is a funny and loud Italian restaurant, a top end Japanese eatery which I can't remember the name of, a well known Sushi eatery and also a cheap and cheerful Thai dining house. So you assume that there's plenty of competition about! First time I rolled in I ordered a Giyoyaki Ramen (fish and pork broth and probably spelt wrong) and it was delicious. The broth is probably the most important part of Ramen and it was rich and creamy. Some may argue otherwise that it's each individual part that gives the rise to the whole Ramen. But I say broth. For me it was a little tad on the small side as I was super hungry but everything is fine, a little short on the extra condiments as I usually like a bit of bamboo shoots. Second time I went I had a spicy ramen. I had a good look at the menu and was pleasantly surprised to discover that you can make it large for an extra $1. So I went with that and it totally filled me up. Go get your Ramen Fix there!
