stevenage footbell ground is good if your a conference football fan, you have to go here because it…read moreis a nice little ground. we went with northwich vics and were having a really good day we were getting on the home fans nerves coming to there ground and beating them. but in the second half they scored but we still went home happy with a point and i dont think they liked being held to a draw by a little town team in the same league though on the side of the facilities i thought the food was expensive, as were the prices to get in as the away fans have to seat down. Im glad i went we had a good day out.

Honestly it was one of the quietest, least impressive, and most disappointing stadiums in England. I have nothing against the fans but the atmosphere just wasn't here and it was mostly empty. I was last here in 2014 and will probably stop by again in 2016 to see if I can improve the star rating. I've been to most UK & US stadiums, due to lifelong obsessions with travel, sport & especially footy (soccer to Americans). Born & raised in England, I followed Oxford United (hometown team) to stadia all over the country at away games, and later Liverpool (fave team) around. In 2011, I was on music tour in the UK, and visited most stadiums for fun in my spare time. The corners aren't filled in so it doesn't have much atmosphere, and it's a very small town anyway. It's one of the quietest grounds I ever visited. It doesn't have history on its side either, since it was built in 1980. On the outside it looks more like offices than a football ground. So, yeah, no.

We had an excellent evening, especially as deepest winter is not exactly high season for dog races. Mind you, they soldier on and the dogs probably run faster than ever to keep warm. The betting was fun as well and as long as you stick to the minimum amounts of just £1 for a simple bet you can't lose a lot of money either. Staff are very friendly and patiently explain the rules to complete novices like me. The dogs really are the main attraction, you wouldn't come here on the strength of the food. There's probably a reason the regulars prefer standing out in the cold. Nuff said.
