They didn't code the visit as a wellness visit and coded as a meet and greet with a new doctor. This was despite me not requesting a change of primary care provider. The change was only necessary because the provider left McLeod. After I got bills from McLeod , I contacted them and they eventually corrected their own bill but they are refusing to contact labcorp with updated coding so that labcorp can correct their bill. I have spent too many hours of my time on the phone with blue cross and with labcorp and they both tell my it has to be the provider who initially ordered the blood draws that has to contact them in order for this to be corrected.

I will be filing a formal complaint and will not stop until I'm sure no one else will have to go through what I did. Also he was sent home in the same condition as he came. He asked me to take him to a different hospital. We went to seacoast McLeod And he was admitted. On a good note they were so very very kind and compassionate and treated his condition with the concern it deserved. It was the best hospital experience you could have asked for. When we hadn't heard anything we called them to check on it. They told us they hadn't gotten it. We then called Dr. Shore who ordered it and they resent it to them. Again they threw it away without telling anyone the situation. When we finally figured out what was happening and called Dr. Sherrell to schedule he can't get in until July. The whole thing is total negligence. They are risking my husbands life with it. Not a good experience by any means!

I have been waiting three weeks to have them call my mail in pharmacy for preauthorization of my diabetes medication. That pharmacy has been calling them for over a month. Nothing. I have called their office and left text and left voice messages about this too. Still no pre authorization! It is NOT good to be out of diabetes medication for so long. I have also been waiting for a week to have a different prescription sent to my local pharmacy. Again. Not done, despite my reminder calls to their office. This is not the first time this has happened either. I think I'll be better off at an urgent care.

Recently had short notice that I was going to need to take a flight- I am terrified of flying due to recent crashes. I called and got an appointment in 2 days, my doctor was understanding and compassionate and validating. I was able to have medication for my flight the same day. I'm on my flight home now feeling great and not at all afraid. Truly a lifesaver, I am so grateful for the professionals here! You all are incredible at what you do! Went here for the 1st time on Wednesday May 6th 2026. My mom came too but it was an appointment for…read moreme. Finally got to see a doctor down here, made this appointment online as well. Easy to get to, easy to find parking, walked in and was greeted by a pleasant staff member who checked me in, and got me started on paperwork. After no time at all, maybe like 5 minutes, the nurse called me in, and checked my weight and blood pressure. Nurse Crystal was very pleasant, and also remembered that I had completed paperwork on the portal that stated my medications, so in turn didn't have to fill it out again. Dr. Desmond Ponder was very nice, respected what I had to say, and I felt listened to. He prescribed me a refill of thyroid medication and an allergy medication. Now, he did mention the gynocologist and how I am "due" for a pap, but he said whenever you are ready let me know. Didn't say this but i don't think i would ever be ready. Also to add, i did message on the portal beforehand about mentioning the gyno, and prefer it not mentioned at all due to a bad experience. (Yelpers- my first review if you want to look at it!) He also ordered a blood draw, and unfortunately it is fasting. a little meh because again, in the portal I said that i have felt faint during blood draws, and believe it would help to not fast. For me, nonfasting is a better option. Maybe next appointment i'll ask. Though I do understand since it is my first blood draw with this provider maybe he wants to get a baseline, then my wishes can be respected. To add, blood draws here are just whatever the doctor ordered, can do it when one wants to, for me, as long as I fast. Oh, and also no indication of having my records when i knew some of them were on the portal, I sent them over to another provider at CMC, shouldn't they automatically get transfered? Overall, and other than that, the doctor was very pleasant, and I felt respected and listened to. To add, after the visit, I have been upset because Dr. Ponder prescribed me levocetirizine , a allergy medication, that is taken at night- and in my case, I have been taking claritin (Store brought) during the day, and it is marketed as a non-drowsy medication; this was also in the portal as well, and should have been referenced to. Especially since claritin works well for me. maybe claritinex would be better for me. But with the allergy precriptions I am concerned about the drug interactions, especially with what I take for menstrual cramps. Maybe this is all a simple mistake, but patient preferences should be considered. I also already mentioned this in the feedback form, and the customer service email. Oh, and follow up results will be sent on the portal. Which is ideal for me. I'll also have an appointment in November, and look forward to seeing him then. Overall, Doctor was pleasant and his staff both reception and nurses were pleasant. Highly recommend here! Anything to make doctor visits less stressful!

The front office admins were clearly capable and were able to secure my records from my previous and current physicians this morning - even though none of those doctors' office staff had responded to Dr. Ryan's request for my previous records for the past month! After that, I was escorted to an exam room and was triaged by the practice nurse, Brittany. She was on top of it! Quite thorough and pleasant. Don't forget your Rx bottles! She goes over everything! My bloodwork was taken by a friendly, safe & knowledgeable lab tech (phlebotomist?) and for the life of me, I cannot recall her name (sorry! maybe Shay) I felt so bad for her trying to find one of my awful veins! I informed her how horrible my veins are and she took her time and finally found a vein worth jabbing! Finally saw Dr. Ryan. I have multiple medical issues (for a 55 year old woman.) Without going into any detail, I will be honest and tell you that Dr. Ryan spent quite a bit of time going over each and every one of my many medical concerns with me, answering each question I had. He's "on the ball" and even answered a few questions I had regarding my husband. He did not rush with me at all, and by the time I left his office, he already felt like an "old friend." I was THAT impressed As I said, I'm 55 - so this ain't my first rodeo - and my first impression and humble opinion of Dr. Ryan - without a doubt - surpasses my opinion of just about every single doctor I have ever been a patient of. My experience with Surgical Associates of Myrtle Beach…read more I was diagnosed by Dr. Nicholson with a large umbilical hernia that required open hernia surgery. I went in for Same Day Surgery 7/06/16 and after a 6 inch incision was sent home in a binder with oxycodone for pain management. I tried to sleep but my skin felt like it was on fire and I was breaking out into hived like blisters and my pain was horrible so at 3 hours in we called Dr. Nicholson and explained we thought I was allergic to the oxycodone and could we get something else. He then suggested Tylenol with Codeine and I knew in the past that Tylenol with codeine has made me sick to my stomach so I asked for something different and he said no and that because the pain was terrible to take 2 oxycodone and some Benadryl. So that is what we did and I did not sleep for 3 days and because I was taking a double dose we ran out and called Saturday night but was informed that the office was not open until Monday and that they could not help me. I also reached out to my doctor but she would not see me because I had not been released back to her yet. So with very little sleep for a week, we went for follow up the next Wednesday where I was diagnosed with an infection and put on antibiotics. I was doing a bit better, not great but better when I went to see Dr. Nicholson 2 weeks later but the hives kept coming and coming. A week later I woke up with my eye swollen shut covered in hives everywhere and crusting over my incision and that itchy throat that means I am heading for trouble. I went to the Urgent care because of course my surgeon's office was closed and they shot me me up with prednisone and gave me allergy pills, prednisone pills and cream. They were so kind to me that I cried since I had not been treated with kindness through any of this. The hives started to go away and I woke up this morning to my incision coming open in 2 dime like spots so I called the surgeon and they had me come in. I walked in crying because well I was scared and hurting and just so tired. Dr. Nicholson was not there so I was seen by Lane I. Moore, MD, who threw the door open to the exam room looked at my incision and said this is your fault because you smoke and I was trying to explain to him my allergic reaction to oxycodone and the hell that had ensued since that and he said you did not have an allergic reaction, he said put a gauze pad on it and tape, quit smoking and wounds have been healing for thousands of years on their own. There has been one saving grace through this practice and that is the nurse, not sure of her name she has red hair, slightly older, she has been so kind and loving and the only reason I have gone back.
