I saw Natalia's review and wanted to add my own because my experience was so different…read more I came to Dr. Hankey at a really dark point. From the first appointment, she actually listened. She was engaged, asked the right questions, and treated me like a whole person instead of a checklist of symptoms. It never felt clinical. The changes were real. I started sleeping. I could think straight again. She also helped me get accommodations through my university, which made an enormous difference in ways I'm still feeling today. When things got harder before they got better -- and they did -- she was upfront about it, adjusted when something wasn't clicking, and was reachable when I needed her. I never felt shuffled along. I've sent two close friends to her since then. Both had great experiences. That says it all. If you've been putting this off, give it another shot. I came in worn down and barely functioning. The difference in my life now is night and day.

My experience with Dr. Ashlyn Hankey and her office was profoundly disappointing and left me…read morefeeling disregarded, unsupported, and concerned about the quality of care and communication I received. I sought treatment for mental health concerns, but felt that my primary concerns were not adequately addressed. Dr. Ashlyn Hankey prescribed medications that I understood were intended to treat mental health conditions other than the condition for which I was seeking treatment. I am familiar with these medications and their uses because I have colleagues who work in the medical field. When I questioned why those medications had been prescribed and how they related to my symptoms, I felt that she could not provide a clear or satisfactory explanation. This left me feeling excluded from decisions about my own care and concerned that the medications were not appropriate for the issues I had sought help with. I also felt that Dr. Ashlyn Hankey did not take accountability for the treatment decisions or communication problems that contributed to my concerns. At my final visit, when I questioned her prescribing of what I believed were the wrong medications, Dr. Ashlyn Hankey abruptly decided that she would no longer treat me. She stated that she intended to treat only patients with ADHD rather than continuing to address the condition for which I had sought help. This was the visit at which she ended my care, and the decision came unexpectedly, leaving me without clear guidance about next steps or how to transition to an appropriate provider. Her manner felt unresponsive, and I found her bedside manner deeply lacking in compassion, attentiveness, and professionalism. Communication with the office was similarly frustrating. Scheduling and billing issues were not handled clearly or consistently. The office told me that certain visits would be dismissed, including the visit Dr. Ashlyn Hankey was unable to attend because she had undergone surgery on her face. Despite that discussion, I later received billing statements and learned that charges had been submitted fraudulently and pursued for visits that I understood would be dismissed. The billing did not reflect what had been discussed with me. I was concerned that the billing practices were inconsistent with the agreement and conversations I had with the office, its billing department, and the office manager. I did not receive a clear explanation or adequate notice before these charges were pursued, and I was especially concerned to learn that the balance had reportedly been sent to collections after I had been told it would be dismissed. I am currently unable to schedule further care with any other medical practice affiliated with or related to that practice because of the disputed bill, which was fraudulently submitted and improperly pursued. The bill has reportedly been placed in collections, and the resulting dispute has prevented me from being seen by another provider within that practice or any related practice. As a result, I have been unable to obtain necessary ongoing mental health care while the balance remains unresolved. This has added significant stress and interfered with my ability to seek appropriate treatment. When I contacted the office, the response felt unresponsive and unproductive, further reinforcing my impression that patient concerns were not being taken seriously. Based on my experience, I felt that the office prioritized questionable billing practices over patient care and mental health support. The lack of transparency and communication raised serious concerns for me. Patients deserve clear explanations, informed consent, respectful treatment, reliable continuity of care, and transparent billing, not to feel ignored or pressured while trying to obtain mental health services. Because of the seriousness of these concerns, I intend to submit complaints to the appropriate state medical licensing board and the Better Business Bureau, and all other relevant agencies or oversight organizations, including my health insurance company, the state insurance regulator, consumer protection authorities, and any applicable patient advocacy or professional regulatory bodies. I will also seek guidance regarding whether the care and billing practices I experienced warrant further review for possible professional negligence, incompetence, or other violations. I encourage prospective patients to ask detailed questions about medications, treatment goals, follow-up plans, appointment policies, cancellation fees, insurance claims, and billing practices. If you do not feel heard, respected, or adequately informed, consider seeking a second opinion or transferring care to another provider.

There have been so many times I've walked into a session carrying something I couldn't fully understand or even explain, and somehow Bri knows exactly where to go with it. She has an incredible ability to make you feel completely safe, seen, and understood without ever making you feel judged. What I love most is that the work doesn't just stay in the session. I've noticed real shifts in the way I understand myself, process emotions, and respond to things in my life. Bri has helped me work through things I didn't even realize I was holding onto, and I've walked away from sessions feeling lighter, clearer, and more connected to myself. She's incredibly intuitive, compassionate, and genuinely gifted at what she does. I've found myself recommending Bri to practically everyone in my life...friends, family, anyone I think could benefit from experiencing what she does. I spoke with my insurance and therapist to find a place that wasn't so AA heavy. They recommended Clear Treatment Center. It was an hour drive from my house but I was willing if it was the right place. When I emailed Clear a representative reached out quickly. I was really straight forward with what I wanted from a program and they were just a direct as me! I completed 3 months of PHP/IOP treatment for alcohol, that sounds like a long time but once you start doing the work it fly's quick. The center is welcoming, clean, and organized. After my first week it was getting tough! Jason, Christine, and Jamie helped me see all the reasons why not to quit! The staff is very understanding of everyone's situations and only want what's best for every client. The entire staff works well with each other and they all have their own strengths. Jason was my therapist. Trust me when I say I gave him a hell of a hard time at first. This guy never gave up on me and got me to figure out some things about myself I would have never done alone. Clemmy was my case manager and if your rough around the edges and need someone to help tell you straight but make you feel motivated after ever conversation that's my girl! Jamie heard me when I was needing to go back to work and needed to change my schedule. That's one of the most stressful things when you have to work and continue treatment but she always found a way to work with me and find a way! Thank you! Christine is really good at communicating and somehow gets you to understand how to vulnerable with yourself and trust. I still can't I trust people now. Thank I can't say enough about the staff and the vibe. Everyone is always ready to help and easy to talk to. The hardest thing is showing up and giving it 100% when your in a bad place. They make it easy to be yourself and work through what ever it is you need to work through. I met some really cool people and other clients going through something similar as myself im grateful to have met. I felt alone in this until I met people in the program. Ultimately I could go on and on about the center, staff, and curriculum. I owe this place more than a review. I got my life back and I feel better than ever. Thank you, Luis Enrique Mendoza
