DO NOT GO TO CLAUDIA for a women's styled cut. 1. Claudia…read morecharged me $60 for a dry hair cut, the price quoted on the website was $55 and up and I have short hair. For that price women's haircut appointments always include wash and style after. I've had dry cuts before, and they tend to be about $20 cheaper. 2. Claudia refused to look at photos that I brought to help illustrate the style I was looking for. I had spent the time and effort to bring 6+ photos on my phone and she never once looked at them or asked about the different elements of them, I should've just left then. But instead, I tried describing what I wanted which was a simple trim of the back of my hair to bring it up to an inverted bob style (super common) with layers for texture and lift. 3. She immediately started out cutting my bangs when I didn't even want those cut. And she didn't trim them to match the style I had she completely obliterated them and made them straight across ON A SQUARE FACE!!! OMG don't they teach you in year 1 of beauty school about face shapes and what not to do? Anyway, 4. Claudia did such a horrible choppy job cutting the back of my hair that I had to ask her to blend it better (no blending had been done whatsoever) and it looked terrible. Supercuts did a better job at $25. And when I got home I noticed that she missed a 1/2" section in the back that was sitting at least a 1/2 " lower than the rest so I had to even it out even more myself. 5. Claudia refused to style my hair afterward even when I'd asked her to curl it. And lastly 6. She complained the whole time about some other woman who was a repeat customer who never tipped her. That's just unprofessional and manipulative. I should've NOT tipped her as well as I did not feel her abilities or effort matched the price she charged.

I had an appointment at Ahead of Style Salon with Mia Haggard and unfortunately I cannot recommend…read moreher services. I have medium to dark brown hair and booked a balayage. I clearly explained what I was looking for and showed a video reference of someone with very similar hair color whose result was the goal--nothing extreme, just somewhere in that realm. I said that is where I want to lean into. I was also upfront that the only color on my hair was a demi-permanent service done over four months prior. As soon as my hair was blow-dried after shampooing, I could tell the result was not right. Even without my glasses, it was obvious. The final result was not a balayage at all, but a full head of very chunky VERY uneven yellow-to-orange highlights that look more like early-2000s foils than a modern, blended balayage. No toner was used. I was told a gloss was preferred instead, but the color clearly needed toning at minimum. The warmth was not controlled, and the highlights are extremely brassy and uneven. Mia was kind and pleasant, but the skills listed do not match the outcome I experienced. I left feeling upset and sick over the amount of money I paid, knowing immediately that this will require an expensive correction elsewhere. When I got home and really saw my hair in proper lighting, I cried. I know that I would never ask for a correction from the same stylist if this is how I left the salon. Never gonna happen. I've had this exact service done before--successfully--including at this same salon by another stylist, and on hair that also had a prior demi. This result was entirely avoidable. I'm genuinely sad to leave a negative review, but I don't want anyone else to go through the stress, expense, and emotional impact of having their hair turn out this way.

I came in with a mop of long, thick, overgrown hair that needed to be chopped off and be brought back to life. Plus, I needed a change to something that was more manageable, but still cute. Just before the new year I splurged to get a new look at a very fancy, very EXPENSIVE salon in the Pearl district and left that experience feeling defeated, used and looking like sh*t. I had just had another bank breaking major hair fail, and it was the final straw, I got home looked in the mirror and started crying. I spent several weeks "getting back out there" until I finally decided to give Christina at 360 Hair Studio a try. I am half Chinese half German with THICK, wavy, constitutionally dry hair. No stylist has EVER finished my hair on time during an appointment. It's always a mad scramble to get me done and out of the chair b/c the next unfortunate soul has been waiting. No matter how many times I've told stylist that extra time will be needed, no one ever believes me. Sometimes you need to go see someone who has similar hair, or may have a similar background to understand where you're coming from. My first appointment with Christina, was to fix the haircut. It was so whacked that we had to go shorter than I had originally wanted to but I followed her advice and she took time and skill to thin out my crazy mane into a cute, sleek, perfectly layered shoulder length bob. My second appointment a month later was to correct the horrible choppy orange Balayage. Christina was like a seasoned PRO, foiling me up in record time, washed, toned, conditioned AND even fit in adding bangs to my look.... IN AN HOUR and a HALF! :-0 I was completely speechless! I couldn't believe my hair! Soft, straight, ashy light brown n soft blondes perfectly blended in with my medium brown hair. I grinned so hard all the way home cheeks hurt! Christina is kind, personable, warm, trendy, professional, fast as hell and so reasonably priced. I finally feel I can trust again in my hair relationship! If you go see Christina, I can't imagine you would have any experience other than a totally excellent one.

This was my 1st time here and Shannon pampered me. I could tell she loves making woman feel beautiful inside and out. Shannon did not rush - she spent quality time washing, cutting, and styling my hair at a VERY reasonable price. She's friendly, thoughtful, and playful...she did my hair like I've never had it done...and I LOVE LOVE LOVE it. Hidden gem is an understatement...but maybe I shouldn't tell you Yelpers about Ms. Morales...'cause if it ever gets too busy and I can't get an appointment, I'll go hair-crazy on you! : ) You'll find the place off of 99W but you can't get to it from the main road, you'll have to go through a neighborhood.
