Kims Nail Salon - Nails - Nail Salons Near Me - Madison, Alabama

I went to Kim's Nail Salon for a pedicure + acrylic overlay & polish along with a full set. They were able to get all of this done in one hour which would've been impressive had the outcome been better. I feel like my full set was rushed through, they came out so bulky & uneven I could cry. The man working on my nails did everything very quickly, roughly, & hastily. My toes are decent but the lady dropped the scrubber on the ground & picked it up & continued to scrub my feet with the same scrubber. I am very disappointed in the services provided to me for $105. I don't mind the price I would just like quality work. read more

They did a beautiful job in my nails and I got exactly what I wanted. Everyone was so nice, and the place was clean and nicely decorated. I recommend coming here if your looking for a new place to get your nails done. They are the best. read more

The lady who did my nails was so sweet and really detail oriented. I am in love with my nails. **UPDATE** I had no peeling or lifting around the edges of my nails and I'm rough with them. I came back for a fill in and got my daughters fingernails and toenails painted. I thought my nails were excellent the first time but the man who did them did a few things different and I'm obsessed. They are perfect. The lady who did my 4 year old daughters nails made her feel like a princess. She didn't just paint them and send her on her way she trimmed and filed them and let her t lol her what she wanted !! There's no doubt they're gonna get all of my money read more

Got a gel mani and pedi on 11/22/2022 but after just 4 days my nails started chipping and cracking already. I think the quality of their gel polish is not good. I have been getting gel mani from other salons and it usually last 2-3 weeks. I'm giving 3 stars because the service is great but the quality not so much. read more

In a scheduled appointment upon flying into town, I asked for minimal work. A natural nail manicure/ pedicure. I remained quiet, but kind as I was tired. I received rushed service, rudeness, and their brief, excited demeanor when they asked how much I'd like to tip. If you'd like kind people giving good service, I would not recommend. read more

My absolute favorite nail salon in madison/huntsville. The workers are always so nice and I'm always so pleased with my results.

i've come to this nail salon for years. Just recently, may 11th to be exact, i visited with my sisters but this time was completely different and horrible. they rushed on me and my sisters nails and i asked for the same thing on my nails and feet which was an ombré natural color and this lady put solid pink on my feet, which i literally hate pink and it wasn't even the color i asked for not to mention she used ONE single coat of paint on each toe, which for the amount they charge you is absolutely absurd for the lack of quality. i let it go bc it was obvious they were in a hurry anyway but by may 15th my nails started coming off. And by May 16th the one coat of paint on my feet is now coming off, one toe has no nail polish on it at all already. this is completely unacceptable i paid well over $200 for it to not even last a week. i don't know about you ladies but i have NEVER in my life had my feet done and the nail polish came off THAT quickly. Used to be a regular but now i am definitely looking for a new nail salon and encourage you to do the same if you like good quality and service. Edit: and i got gel nail polish so i definitely expected it to last read more

I came here because of the great yelp reviews, but I was extremely disappointed. I've never had such chunky gel nails before. They were so thick, they were wavy and 2 of them were stuck to the side of my finger and needed to be filed down. I hate leaving bad reviews, but I was genuinely upset when I left the salon. read more

I really don't know how this place has decent reviews. I went in for the second time today to get my old shellac removed and a manicure. The first time I went I received terrible service but I thought it may just be a fluke so I went in again. The gentleman who did my manicure barely cleaned my nails and when he went to polish, left paint all around my nails. I asked him to clean up the polish on my skin and was greeted by a huge sigh and look of annoyance. He then put on the top coat which became super thick and left obvious streaks because the polish was still very wet. I eventually became so frustrated I just paid and left. I can't speak for the pedicures but if you are wanting a basic manicure....go anywhere else. read more

LOVED this place. My best friend and I weren't sure where to go to get our nails done because we are from California. This place fit the bill! Best pedicure I've ever had - the massage was bomb too. Also doesn't hurt that I had a man doing my pedi. Side note - this place is VERY clean, the staff seem to sanitize everything and go to extra lengths to make sure there is no cross contamination of any kind. We will be coming back - and I will be requesting the same technician! read more

Would give a review of 0 if I could. I have been getting my nails done with the dip powder for over year and I just moved the area. In hopes of trying to find a new place to get my done I tried out Kim's Nail Salon. My top coat is rough on every nail. The shape of each nail is different. While soaking my nails off my hands got my old color stained on my hands and no one even attempted to get it off. During my pedicure the women tried to get some of my dip with a paper towel and gloves. She got the old, sticky polish all over her gloves. She didn't change her gloves and proceed to get the old, sticky polish all over my legs and stain them, as well. Will not be returning. read more

Kims Nail Salon - The rough spots and appearance of dents - Nail Salons Near Me - Madison, Alabama

so this is usually my go to place to get my nails done. i went today and asked for french tips, square shape. i had sam, whom i always ask to do my nails because he usually does really good, but today was a horrible experience for me. he make them super bulky and way too thick. i asked him if he would file them some more and he did but definitely not enough. i'm sure he could tell by face that i was not pleased. i like to have a clean and precise set, but i'm extremely disappointed with how my results turned out. if you are like me and don't like to complain or ask for your nails to be fixed, i recommend not coming here because it's obvious they don't really care. i'm sure if the lady who ran the place was here today, it would definitely be a different story. i will not be coming back. oh and he still charged me $50. read more

Kims Nail Salon - too thick of nails - Nail Salons Near Me - Madison, Alabama

I just asked to get gel nails and get my acrylics taken off. The counter was dirty and she didn't replace the towel, and when I had come in multiple of the employees had been biting their nails and hadn't washed their hands before doing peoples nails. She had ground down my nails and not taken off the actual acrylic and just sanded it down till it was relatively the size of my nails, meaning my nail isn't my real nail and their is still a thick acrylic plastic base on my nails which I had wanted to be taken off. The bowl of acetone she was dipping my nails in had multiple small hairs in it and just felt unclean. The color and gel finish if fine, but it's like I have tiny acrylics on top of my real nails instead of her just taking the nails off. The lady next to me was on her phone texting on and off the entire time my friend was getting her nails done. Overall not a great experience. I haven't really had any issues like this as I haven't been here in over a year but it seems to have gone down hill. I recommend Nail Boutique & Spa on Wall Triana next to Kroger if you are looking for a better experience. They are at least friendly over there. read more

Kims Nail Salon - Once again they never disappoint! Don is absolutely the best! - Nail Salons Near Me - Madison, Alabama

Came here based on Yelp reviews, and I'm quite pleased that I did. Don did a magnificent job on my new French set. The level of cleanliness, quality service, genuine friendliness and prices are comparable to what I'm accustomed to back home in SoCal. I especially like that they use powders for both the pink and the white, unlike other places in town that use only white tips and white polish. If you want the best in town here in Madison/Huntsville, I highly recommend this place. Ask for Don - super friendly and he's also from CA so we had some things in common and to reminisce about. ;D Another gentleman did my pedicure and I'm also pleased w his work. They also offer other services such as waxing and massages should you need those. Look no more and try this family nail salon. You won't be disappointed and you'll leave a happy-gorgeous-returning customer! ;D read more

I had high hopes for this place. The stag was nice and a friend recommended this to me. I got a gel manicure from here that was terrible. I got it one week ago and I've had two nails break because he only put one coat on. He didn't bother to shape my nails some are oval and some a square. I worked hard to grow my natural nails and it really pisses me off that I paid 40 bucks for this. The guy was clearly a tech and didn't know what he was doing. As a owner or manager you should monitor inexperienced workers! Now you have lost a customer and more than just one because I will definitely not recommend this place. read more

I have to start with the fact that I rarely get my nails done professionally. My nails stay in pretty good shape, so I usually do is put a coat of polish on and go. That being said, whenever I have a special occasion when I need my nails to look better than usual, this is where I choose to go! I absolutely love how they paint the french manicure. Instead of using a stencil or the regular polish brush, they paint the top half of the nail and then use acetone and an artist's brush to shape the white area. They always look very natural instead of obviously being fake. They offer regular manicures and pedicures, along with acrylic nails and shellac manicures. I recently did the shellac manicure, which definitely held up the whole 2 weeks without chipping or loosing shine at all. read more

Best pedicure ever!! The shop is clean and the staff is very friendly! The foot massage was absolutely amazing, the pressure was perfect and he seemed to know that I have bad arthritis in both my feet and massaged exactly were my feet always hurt. I would definitely comeback here again. The only down side is the we live in North Carolina. So far this has been the best part of the trip! read more

This is a really good nail salon. It's always busy, but they are always very friendly and they have enough staff to get to you right away. All of the staff are super technicians. Even though it's busy, there is a very calm feeling here. Because it's a 30 minute drive for me, I sometimes make the mistake of getting my pedicure at another nail salon, but I always find myself returning to Kims. read more

Frist and last time coming here. The lady who did my Pedi sucked at rubbing in anything on my feet or legs. She applied no pressure. The feet/leg rub is my favorite part. She also put the hot towel on my legs without even cooling them off first. I had to tell her to remove it and cool them off. Everything was done half ass. This is just not my type of nail salon. Won't be coming back. read more

I went in today for just a brow wax and decided to wax my lower legs. We all know that waxing is uncomfortable, but when they keep going over the same spot it becomes painful. She finished and I paid and left. When I got home I saw the damage. I have red whelps and bumps all over my legs, was residue, and completely missed strips of hair. I took numerous pictures of the damage. So I went back for a refund for just the leg wax. The lady refused to give me a refund saying that they don't give refunds and she offered to get the wax off, but I wouldn't be able to get a good leg wax because my leg hair was too course!!! She offered to get the wax off, but at this point I just wanted my money back and I wanted to just leave. So she gave my only half back from this botched procedure. As I was leaving I told her that i would make sure that I left her a review and I will be letting all my friends know to never go there. This lady actually chased me in the parking lot saying if I left her a bad review she was going to sue me as she has all my information. I told her to go ahead. two words for you: very disappointed. if i'm gonna pay $35 for acrylics, i'd want them done well. none of them are the same shape and they're splotchy. they also didn't have any of the gel colors that i wanted or they were misleading. the lady who did my nails cut the length without my consent & cut me in several places. the lady who did my friend's nails seemed super sweet, which was probably the only good experience there. read more

I am new to town and in search of a new nail place. This place was great and reasonably priced!

I came to this nail salon for the infamous Don that I read about in the other reviews. He wasn't very friendly and he got annoyed that I wanted him to do my nails very short. I also got a pedicure, the lady who did my pedicure was sick. She was wheezing the entire time, and sneezing, as she could barely breathe through her nose, it was really a gross and unpleasant experience. Also, one of my fingernails had a black dot on it and when I asked Don to fix it he picked it out with his nail and painted over it... So while the black dot was gone there was now a nail indent in my nail. I politely asked him to remove the polish and repaint the nail and boy was he unhappy that I asked him to fix something he messed up. Overall my pedicure sucked and my nails look terrible. Don't waste your time coming here. read more

Hardly ever have a wait to get a gel manicure. And they last two weeks with hardly any paint loss! Seriously! My first visit here was wonderful. My second was sub par. When you decide to get a gel manicure you know it's more Expensive and bad for your nails but you get it regardless because you need it to last. Mine lasted 3 days. 3. Days. Not to mention their gel samples do not match the colors in the bottles. I paid 72 dollars for nails that lasted the weekend. Very disappointed and will not be coming back. read more

Was impressed with my pedicure. I got a deluxe pedicure with gel french tips. The nail tech did an amazing job! I came in at 645p, they close at 7p and they stayed open late to take care of me. I was highly disappointed with this place. I went there for the first time the day before I went out town, needing a fill in... I didn't get the guys name but he sits at station 4; he was not polite or even welcoming, he was VERY rough with my nails and hands. He rushed through my visit, cutting my fingers in a few different places. And the color selections they had were horrible- I SETTLED for a color I'm not even happy with because they had nothing close to what I wanted, to even fit the current season. Had I not had to leave the following morning, I would've returned to speak with someone in charge. read more
