That horrendous haircut was the first that I had gotten in the San Antonio area since we moved down here last year. I thought I could just live with it, but I like to go six months between haircuts and there was no way I was going let myself continue to look like I did for 4.5 more months. The salon is located in a tranquil area just off the beaten path but close to 35. The decor is modern and it's very clean. The vibe inside the salon is also very peaceful. Paul was very professional, listened to my complaints, offered good feedback, and gave me the face framing angles I was looking for. Then, he gave me a nice style so I could go home with an extra special look that my husband wouldn't be able to miss. The color I got from the other salon was (is) also a mess, and Paul offered his opinions about my next steps. I believe I will return soon to get my color corrected. I have to also add that when I got home from the salon, my husband commented on how amazing my hair looked perhaps three times in the first hour. I've been home for several hours now, and he is still pausing to look at me, smile, and compliment. Thank you, Paul! The curl pattern in the back was broken up, and they tried to "match" the back by using a tiny curling want in the front. None of it looked like my actual curl pattern when it isn't broken up. Watching a curly hair account on Instagram would have alleviated a lot of what happened. It was 30 minutes into the service before they even started to dry it. At two hours, I finally called it, paid, and left. i will just use dry shampoo until I get my stitches out.

But, as I began reading all her 5 star reviews, I knew she would be the perfect choice as I started craving some blonde highlights. I found my way to Salons by JC, where her salon is located at the Legacy Shopping Center. When I walked into Tabitha's studio, I was super excited and immediately felt at home in her space. I love the way the whole place it decorated. She sells jewelry as well as great hair products like Brazilian blowouts and she was the first stylist in San Antonio to provide feathers for those of us looking to jump on that craze. One thing I think is really great about Tabitha is that she keeps her eyes on the latest trends all over the country and goes out of her way to stay on top of all of it. That brings me to my highlights. As I explained to Tabitha that I wanted the whitest of white highlights, she told me she was a bit concerned about how much damage that can do to hair. She was totally willing to do it if I wanted but thought that what might be a better choice for me is to go for some platinum extensions. I decided to go with her recommendation and I'm so happy I did! My hair looks beautiful, I got the blonde I was wanting, but it's not permanent and it won't damage my hair. I also won't have any roots to go back and match every 6 weeks. All in all, I can't recommend this woman enough. She's an amazing stylist and I feel so fortunate Yelp led me to her!
