Stay away from this place if you have curly hair. Thelma cut my hair…read more This is singlehandedly the worst haircut I've ever had. It's going to take months for my hair to look good again. The first two pictures are what I walked in with. I'm 4 months postpartum and I'm having some intense shedding. It was starting to look scraggly at the ends, so I had cut 6 inches of length myself. I was afraid to cut shorter on my own. So my mom convinced me to go to Thelma. I said I wanted a little above shoulder length. I got this monstrosity. The back is chopped to all different lengths and is so short it isn't curling. The sides are weirdly long and uneven and the bangs are too short. I don't usually mind short hair. I've had it shorter than this before. But this looks awful. I can't believe my mom paid $150 for this garbage. I did a better job myself. To add insult to injury she tried to sell me on her hair products and flat out lied. She tried to tell me that the innersense organic products that I use are synthetic and have sulfates.

I felt no tightness, edges were safe and install was flawless, like it grew out of my head. 1st weave in 5 years and I will come right back to Karline. It was a pleasure to have my hair done by her, very patient, positive and attentive to detail. Received several compliments already.

However, since I did not use her bundle, the total was adjusted to $267. Even at that adjusted price, the service was not worth the cost given the outcome. I explained clearly that I was unhappy with the results and that the style did not meet my expectations or the standard that had been promised. Unfortunately, I did not receive any apology or meaningful attempt to resolve the situation.

We were impressed by how versatile she was. The four ladies have different undertones and require four separate foundations. The results were gorgeous. Most importantly, we all felt fabulous! She's also amazing in skin color correction, which I needed for darker under eyes. Makeup tools were clean, prepackaged per person and handled professionally! Her and an assistant (sister) wore a mask and washed their hands before service. This was much appreciated during covid. The bride told us her trial was also great - she created a look that worked best for her waist length hair and classic/simple style. I highly recommend for glamour photography, weddings and pageants.
