From the moment you arrive to the Arras, you will experience a classy, tasteful, and professional property. Valets open heavy doors for you, the front desk greets you every time you pass by, and staff walk you to the elevators to explain the technology (with its very oddly placed key card scanner.) Lobby furnishings are fun and there's lots of energetic local art to admire. The hotel location is absolutely unbeatable. I was grateful that my work conference was held here and even happier that I had the foresight to treat myself by extending for an extra night to enjoy the cute town and the hotel. The hotel rooms are gorgeous with high ceilings and nearly a full wall of windows (one of which opens) to take in pretty Asheville. My eastern facing room overlooked Broadway, the art museum, city building and courthouse, with the mountains off in the distance. Heavy blackout curtains protected from the bright morning light as well as the hot sun. Bed linens were very soft. Bathroom was clean and well appointed with a spacious counter, a ledge, and small shelf. Lots of functional space to unpack. The designers chose to emphasize drawer and cabinet space (there's a lot!) though I might have personally preferred a bit more closet space. There are a TON of hangers and an umbrella. This being a Kimpton, there were frequent check-ins by text, "social hour" from 5-6 pm daily featuring local beer and wine, and a fantastic morning tea and coffee bar with locally sourced beverages as well as La Colombe cold brew. As others have noted, coffee makers are only provided upon request. Even a grumpy morning hater like me didn't mind trekking down to the lobby for the excellent coffee. Neat water stations dispense filtered water and prepacked ice, I presume on every floor. Pro tip: bring an empty bottle from home. Can you tell? I had a fantastic 5-star stay!!!

We stayed here for a single night while going through Asheville. Valet parking was simple and easy, as was booking here. Staff were incredibly kind and helpful locating good food options in the area that they liked. They recommended "The Rhu" for coffee which is within a couple of minutes walking. The night before we walking to an Italian restaurant. I also enjoyed the complimentary coffee they had in the morning. Definitely stay here if you want to walk around! It's also super easy to cast onto the TVs if you want to watch a movie or television show. I only have a few complaints: finicky bedside lamps, tablets for controlling the elevator, extremely shallow sinks, loud shower drains, no bathroom fan, and lack of hanging racks in the bathrooms. It was on the pricier side but that's likely due to the downtown location.

I don't think you can beat this location! This is a beautiful hotel and the service is incredibly welcoming. I am so impressed by their staff - they have a great team and go above and beyond for guests! I traveled to Asheville with a friend for a mini "bachelorette" weekend and the staff decorated the room for us. Some treats were waiting for us in the room set up as well. I really appreciated Michael especially who would have carefully placed confetti around the room. Michael was so helpful with our bags and everything. A truly friendly face to see throughout our stay! I had so much fun being at this location and will certainly return.

Newer hotel in the middle of downtown Asheville. Many floors with terrific views of the surrounding area. They have valet parking for a daily fee. Totally worth it especially with so much to see and do so close to the hotel. Staff were very friendly from check in/out, room cleaning, to the restaurant no complaints. You have to use your room card/key to access the elevator otherwise you go nowhere, nice safety feature. The room was spacious and comfortable with loads of storage space. Bathroom is big with separate toilet which has a frosted glass door. There is a large walk in shower. We used the restaurant for breakfast which was very good. This hotel is an excellent choice for any visit to Asheville, highly recommend.

This hotel is gorgeous and truly in the middle of everything. We walked everywhere so easily. Staff embodies everything I love about Kimpton. A little curt communication prior to our stay was completely turned around at check in. Hope helped us at the front desk and was professional, knowledgeable, helpful, and kind. Valet guys were professional and thoughtful as well. Trusted them completely to take our vehicle. Garage is offsite and shared with the AC Hotel. There are two EV spots and they plug in for you. Kimptons are pet friendly and do not charge when you bring your fury family. I fully support this as my fur children are quieter, cleaner, and more well behaved than most human children. Thank you Kimpton! Lobby is stunning with too many interior design details to describe. I loved the seating nook across from the front desks with records. You can enjoy a local beer or glass on wine on the house from 5-6 nightly. Complimentary coffee and tea in the mornings too with all the add ins (almond milk too). Kimpton extras! This property has two restaurants/bars and both on the first floor. Italian themed and lovely. All pasta made in house daily! They offer delicious breakfast options too (and fresh squeezed OJ). Our room was gorgeous with mountain views. Decor was modern, thoughtful and unique. Room was very clean and quiet in that you can't hear all the street and hall noise. Another note is that most furniture went to the floor or was backed against a wall which eliminates places for pets to hide. Thoughtful! I would stay here again thanks to great service received on property.

We stopped in for one night and I'm so pleased we decided to stay here. This is our first visit but the Kimpton will be our first choice for any future trips. Firstly, this hotel is in the middle of a ton of restaurants and shops. It's a very walkable location. Check in was a smooth and pleasant experience. Every staff member we encountered was friendly and professional. We arrived during happy hour and were given a complimentary apple cider cocktail that was delicious. The hotel is beautifully decorated and clean. We stayed in a Mountain View king suite on the seventh floor and had beautiful views from the many windows. The room had a sectional sofa, large bathroom with a separate shower and deep soaking tub, a desk and semi divided bed area. This hotel is also dog friendly which I LOVE! They do not charge for pets and do not restrict the weight. This should be the standard in the industry. The Kimpton is doing this right! The only negative is the expensive valet parking. We felt like we needed to valet due to the extremely limited parking in the area. At $32 /day, I wish there were more affordable options for longer stays. There's one restaurant on site and a bar. Overall, we are very happy with this hotel and recommend it.

We loved our stay! Amazing location, the hotel and rooms are clean, comfortable and well appointed. I give the staff 10 stars for how friendly and accommodating they were to my husband and I and our adventure cat Dr. Sheldon Coopurr. They went so far above and beyond to treat him like a celebrity and we really appreciate the flexible pet policy. This is our 2nd Kimpton stay and definitely not our last.

This is a favorite hotel of ours when in Asheville. It is located in the center of downtown within walking distance of most things. They have valet parking, which is kind of expensive ($32) but worth it. Mason, the valet, was nice and quick when we texted to have the car ready. Checking in was easy, and August at the front desk was very kind and helpful. Elliott, the Bellman, made getting all our stuff in and out of the room seamless. It was the employees of this hotel that make it even more special. They are very sweet and accommodating and make you feel welcome. The room (suite) was really beautiful with views of the town from the big windows. It had a sitting area with sofa, tv, desk, lots of storage, and mini fridge. The bathroom was large and also had a big window. The bedroom was gorgeous with wonderful views and a big comfortable bed and pillows. They have a nice happy hour with complimentary wine and great coffee bar in the morning. Cynthia kept it well stocked as it was busy. My only regret was that we were only staying for one night. Next time we will stay longer. Thanks for a special stay.

This is an amazing find in Asheville. I saw that they allow dogs and I was traveling with my puppy. They're extremely dog friendly. They brought my dog, a bed and bowls and a tag for the door that said pet is in room. The service is extremely friendly the staff the room is extremely well-maintained. They came in every day to clean. There's a great restaurant in the hotel and a nice bar and overall it's just a great location as well.

This hotel was as equally wonderful to stay at as it is beautiful. Located in the heart of downtown staying at the Kimpton Hotel Arras allows you to be able to walk around Asheville without having to drive and find parking. To begin the hotel has valet parking which makes getting out of your car and checked in very easy. The hotel is so beautiful and the staff was very attentive and friendly, making every effort to make you feel welcome. Our room was so clean and beautiful that I felt like I was staying in a spa. We enjoyed the complimentary coffee and tea in the morning. Everything about our stay was five stars and I look forward to visiting again!

Great location, clean, friendly staff. The rooms are nice. Coffee/tea in lobby in the morning and wine at night included with your stay. They do not have coffee makers in the rooms as a norm, but can add one if you request it. In the middle of everything. It is the tallest bldg in Asheville so you can always find your way back. The staff goes above and beyond. The avo toast in the breakfast restaurant is amazing, they make their bread in house and used fresh smashed avocado vs a spread. I would stay here again in a heartbeat.

Great hotel in central location in downtown Asheville. If you are to valet parking make sure to get clear directions from hotel before you arrive as Asheville has many one way streets. This was my first time staying in the hotel and I have no complaints minus an little glitch within using the mobile application where I couldn't not ask for late check-out as I could early check~in. When trying to request late check out the following morning as a platinum member I was told it was not possible. Luckily I was here only for a day coming back from Tennessee so I didn't push the issue. My room was very comfortable and I was upgraded to a room with a nice Mountain View. Breakfast was very delicious and the staff super polite. Looking forward to the next visit

Before coming, I read that the Gingerbread House competition had just ended and that the displays were still up. When we arrived, I didn't realize parking was now paid $30 which was surprising since the first time we visited it was free. Walking up to the hotel is impressive on its own. Seeing how this massive structure was built out of stone so long ago is amazing. Inside, there was a video playing that explained how the hotel was constructed, which was very informative. The roof being made of solid concrete to help make the building waterproof was especially interesting. When you walk through the front doors, the entry is grand and open, with huge fireplaces on both sides. The gingerbread house displays were spread across two floors and were absolutely incredible. It's amazing to see the talent, from young adults to experienced artists. Some of the displays look incredibly realistic. I added photos, and hopefully the video of the grand prize winner shows as well, it's truly impressive. We walked around the rest of the hotel for a while and then stopped for lunch (see my restaurant review). The food was excellent. We hope to return one day and stay here. I'd also love to come back and play a round of golf here.

Long and short of it, before you book your event at this location, consider if apathy is what you want of a managerial support staff. I booked a one-night stay at the Grand Bohemian on New Year's Eve, using points along with an elite night upgrade award. From the moment you arrive, the hotel is impressive. The drive-up experience feels like you're entering the hotel itself. The valet service was outstanding -- they handled our luggage and belongings with great care and provided clear, helpful instructions on where to go for check-in. Walking through the front doors, you're greeted by a large open fireplace with chairs and couches surrounding it, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere. The associate at check-in was excellent. She thanked us for being Titanium members, provided water, and clearly explained where our room was located. We took some time to walk around the hotel, especially since it had been closed due to last year's flooding. The restoration work was impressive -- floors and walls had been replaced, and much of the décor had either been cleaned or fully refreshed. The hotel looks amazing. We then went up to our second-floor king suite, and it was exceptional. Straight ahead was a large bathroom, with a deck and minibar to the left. Waiting for us was a board with chocolate-covered strawberries and a handwritten card wishing us a happy anniversary and my wife a happy birthday -- a very thoughtful touch. The view from our window overlooked the entrance to the Biltmore Estate. While waiting for our luggage to arrive, we turned on the 65" wall-mounted TV and took in the room. When the luggage arrived, it was promptly unloaded, clothes were hung in the closet, and everything was placed neatly -- truly excellent service. The bed was extremely comfortable, and the shower had great water pressure. We had a late checkout, so we slept in, went downstairs for breakfast before it ended, then returned to the room for a nap before checking out. Breakfast was very good -- see my separate Yelp review of The Red Stag for details. Overall, this is an outstanding hotel. Yes, it's expensive -- but the level of service and attention to detail make it worth it. We will absolutely stay here again, or at one of the other Grand Bohemian hotels.

Great southern hospitality - always cheerful. This truly was a 5-STAR experience.

They do have valet for $22 a night and you can go in and out without any extra charge. We were greeted with a glass of champagne upon check in. The room was bigger than I expected! The views form the hotel room were beautiful. We went down to the bar to check out the sunset but since our room was on the 10th floor and the bar was on the 4th floor we made our way back up to watch from there. My main complaint was the lack of water access. We had to go to the gym to fill our water bottles up and the water didn't taste very good. Since it was a Sunday night we wanted to relax and watch TV in bed. We couldn't find a physical copy of the TV guide and struggled with the TV remote to scroll through the guide, so we ended up just clicking through channels. The towels were quite rough. Everything is very walkable from this area.

What stood out most was the hotel's unbeatable location, right in the heart of downtown. I was able to walk to every restaurant, bar, and shopping area I wanted to visit, which made the trip incredibly convenient. My room was spotless, the bed was very comfortable, and the water pressure and temperature were perfect. We stayed on the ninth floor facing the mountains, and the view was breathtaking, truly one of the highlights of the trip. Upon check-in, we were welcomed with a glass of champagne, which I appreciated, and even more impressive, they offered complimentary champagne every day from 3 PM to 9 PM. With the mountain views from our room, I didn't even feel the need to visit a rooftop bar! The staff at both check-in and checkout were phenomenal; friendly, efficient, and professional. We also used the valet service, which was excellent. Our car was always ready when we needed it, and the process was smooth every time. I can't say enough positive things about this hotel. It exceeded my expectations in every way, and I can't wait to return on my next trip to Asheville.

Upon check-in, we were welcomed with the Biltmore champagne, chocolate-covered strawberries, and a book about the estate--such thoughtful touches that made us feel instantly celebrated. Our room was beautiful, and the bed was incredibly comfortable--exactly what we needed for a relaxing getaway. The only minor downsides were the lack of accessible outlets for charging devices and no easy way to grab ice unless you called the operator or waited for housekeeping. We also noticed that sound traveled a bit--you can hear hallway noise due to the gap under the door. That said, the experience overall was exceptional. There's so much to do on the estate. The highlight for us was the complimentary wine tasting at Antler Hill Village--nearly an hour with 8 tastings per person, which honestly felt like such a great deal. We also rented bikes to explore the property, which was a fun and scenic way to take everything in. While there are several dining options, reservations are definitely needed--probably the only logistical wrinkle during our stay. One thing we really appreciated was the shuttle system around the estate. It made getting to places like the Biltmore House incredibly easy and stress-free.

The accommodations were very nice -- comfortable bed, well-appointed bathroom with shower, gorgeous views of the Blue Ridge mountains and surrounding estate. It's a large inn, seven floors, but the hallways were quiet and we didn't hear any noise from our room. The Library Lounge is on the lobby level and a place for drinks and light meals if you don't have a reservation for the Dining Room, which oddly, is downstairs. Both rooms were decked out for Christmas and as its focal point had a fireplace. The food was very good -- mostly we partook of the breakfast buffet (which was part of our package) and had a nice dinner there before our tour of Biltmore House. Service was excellent, from the hotel staff to the valet staff (they tried to bring us the Aston Martin (lol), to the dining staff and the shooting instructor (we had a clay shooting lesson). There is plenty to do for a long weekend -- biking, carriage rides, shooting, falconry, winery tour, riding, shopping, gardens, Biltmore House (of course), and more. A shuttle takes you to the different locations -- the winery, the shopping, the house, the gardens -- so if you didn't have a car you could get around via shuttle. I've wanted to visit Biltmore for many years and it definitely lived up to expectations. Staying at the Inn is one way to be close to the house. It was a very nice experience.
